Dilshad Balti in Redditch

I definitely would not go there again I ordered a mix kabab wrap and got a less than handful of chicken and hardly any salad and no shish when I asked for no lamb pieces he literally thought I said no lamb at all so had to go back and I argued with him and he eventually gave me a shish in but said he will heat it up and I’m 2 minutes away so when I got home it was stone cold so he didn’t heat anything up just put shish in and re wrapped it disgusting never will step back in Dilshad again

Food was generally good and service was fast and friendly. My curry was quite oily, but still nice.

Had a few meals from here and always superb. The flavour in the curry is fantastic 👌👌

Food is very tasty and fresh and prepared on time and delivered as well,must try if u want to order or taste indian curry. Highly recommended.

Would give zero stars if it was an option. Always have used these but its the second time that the food has came over 2 hours late and was stone cold. First time i rang the he actually argued back at me and wouldn't even let me speak. Rang up today to complain but was no help at all. he said he will sort 1 balti for free next time. This was a £30 order that was all cold. Will never use again. Avoid this place the customer service is vile.. Ps avoid the keema naan as there's literally no keema in it at all. Just bread lol. 🍞

Samosas are small and from deep frozen bag...so decided to do not go any further then that.

Ordered a delivery. Food arrived on time and piping hot. Naan bread was delicious and fluffy, poppadoms crispy. Had a prawn biryani. Rice was very nice but the vegetable curry merely average. Cheap frozen vegetables, quite a thin sauce and not a great deal of flavour. Fairly average. There are far better places in Redditch, but my favourite doesn’t deliver.

This place has got worse, I make an order which then does not arrive after over an hour. I ring and they can't find the order, this has happened twice now. Plus food is only average. Never again....

Food good, service bad! First time coming to Dilshad balti, so ordered off their website so it'd be ready for collection on my way home. On arrival despite telling the staff member behind the counter we were there for a collection, our food was left behind the counter getting cold for 40 minutes. I finally asked if it was nearly ready, only to be told it had been ready for ages and they hadnt realised i was there to pick an order up. Apparently they thought we were just sitting in the takeaway for no reason!!!!! So, nice food but shame it had to be put in the microwave to make it edible!!

I just got my delivery 25 mins late it was spilt all over the bag and cold I rang the restaurant and he told me they couldn’t replace it and I asked to speak to manager he hung up on me I would never go there again disgusting customer service

Something's changed! Ordered through UberEats and waited an hour then requested an update via the app but nothing happened so I tried a few more times. After 1 1/2 hours I called via the app and kept getting a voice message saying "we're closed" then a beep. So I tried via Google and no answer. I had to contact customer service at UberEats to cancel and get a refund. Such a shame as we've loved the food in the past. Now I won't order here again incase it keeps happening.

Disappointing starter portion. Unusual for the Dilshad - £3.99 for a chicken pakora portion this size (see photo, fork for size reference, and it's a normal sized fork). Times must be tough for the Dilshad, but try that one again and I won't be back.

We ordered from here last night first time absolutely disgusting service waited over 2hts for our food every time we phoned she was really rude shouting at us and kept on putting phone down on us absolutely disgusting rude service from them all in the end we had to go up and still wait over another hr and people were coming in complaining where there food was ! Also carrying a baby in ur arms and ur young kids playing out the front of shop near a busy rd ! The food was horrible in the end never ever again will we order from here 😡u Carnt treat people like this at all ur a business and u should provide good customer service bloody joke 😡😡😡😡😡

Awful experience after waiting over 2 hrs phoned up and they hadn't even started to cook it. On asking why it had taken so long was told 'I don't know I just came in shift' at nearly 10pm OK! Asked for a refund they said no. Ordered through just eat, as it had passed delivery time I could no longer cancel. Eventually got a refund from JE. Dreadful experience would never use again and will warn anyone standing still long enough to listen. By reading the other comments looks like we were saved a night on the toilet so the 1 star can go towards that!!!

Very hard to order over the phone, things were missed from our order so we couldnt even have a complete meal. Then to make things even worse. We have been up since early hours throwing up with food poisoning. I'd never tried this place before and now I know why 👌

Worst curry ever sheekeb bland and salty. Chicken tika curry, awful not tika but died chicken. No curry flavour but loaded with salt. Never again

Ordered through just eat, rang restaurant to complain that the food packaging arrived damaged and curry had gone everywhere, person answering the phone said hello can I take your order, as soon as I complained he pretended he couldn't hear me and started laughing. Lodged complaint with just eat, not only was it damaged it was cold as well. Poor customer service, poor delivery, couldn't eat ended up ordering a kebab.

Ordered food and still not here after 2 hours wait, the women I spoke with was rude and this was ordered was placed on just eats. Would not use again

They do a great Sunday/Monday deal for only £12, getting you a main, starter, side dish and rice or naan as well as poppadoms, mint sauce and onion salad. Great value for money. I think it might be a collection deal though. The food is delicious and good sized portions. I really enjoy the food from here, every time I've been.

I use this restaurant all the time and actually think this is the last time, a shame really as it was so good for a long time, the last three times I’ve had bad service and food, my food was luke warm which is rubbish as I live on the same road as the restaurant plus don’t get me started on the delivery driver! Obviously being a loyal coroner gets you nowhere

Absolutely shambles of a place claim the order was out for over a hour was calling the restaurant to be told numerous lies with nearly 2 hours they told me to request a refund

Been happily using Dilshad for 4 years but the latest experience has been enough to put us off. App no longer allows you to basket your order before opening, so once opened took us 10 minutes to order. It was then due 45 minutes later, but arrived 2.5 hours later... I ordered within 10 minutes of opening, they clearly don't priority their orders on first in. When I rang they were less than apologetic and used the busy excuse. When it did arrive the delivery driver ran off before we opened the door and it was cold and tasteless. They cancel the orders in the app so you can't review each experience. This completely ruined our evening. I would give 1 star but they have been mostly good for past 4 years which is a real shame.

Gone from best to worst take away in weeks. Don't use their own App. You order, pay, and when you collect, food hasn't been started because they forgot to pick up order on their"computer". Happened to me 3 times. Had to wait 40 minutes after designated time. Food hygiene is zero. salad on front counter

3 hours for 2 currys to be delivered, nobody answered the phone when I called and the food finally turned up cold.

3 hour wait for cold food never again awful all round. Phoned them 3 times to chase food and they have no problem lying to you that food has left the premises when it hasn't!

What an ignorant takeaway, rang for a delivery and they put us on hold for 14min then hung up, after recalling and asks why they hung up I was told we’re really busy ! No apologies he just said what do you want collection or delivery- told him to insert his curry where the sun don’t shine…

Just had chicken balti and garlic rice, I have never left a review before and have had countless meals from here and countless curry houses, but it was the nicest balti I’ve had! They may have a new chef, if they have. I hope they keep him.

I moved from Birmingham to Redditch last year. Every Friday is takeaway night and I have tried 8 different Indian takeaways via uber. The best so far was about 5 out of 10 on the taste scale, with every balti soaked in ghee oil. Not good!! Yesterday was the first time I've had a decent balti! The hot shish kebabs are amazing. Mega spicy! Not for faint hearted. Also had a free poppadom. Everywhere else charge. Liked the food so much I'm having a Saturday takeaway too! Keep up the good work lads.

Just had a takeaway from here, please avoid, chicken tikka starter was the smallest portion I’d have ever witnessed, onion bahjee was basically rock hard deep fried ball tasteless and painful to attempt to eat, totally inedible, korma was cold, total waste of my money, please avoid and go elsewhere spare yourselves the dissatisfaction!

i highly recommended trying food out very delicious wraps and curry's everything always made on time and always taste fresh

I have been using Dishad Takeaway for nearly 3 months now. The great thing is that the consistency and quality are always the same! I have found a few favourites on their very extensive menu. The House Special Biryani cooked with lamb & chicken tikka with crushed onion bhajis and garnished with sheek kebabs, is very moorish! Another favourite under the Chef's Specialities is the 'Romeo & Juliet', a combination of chicken & lamb tikka with a touch of mint, mango, garlic, capsicum, onion and tomato ... Mmm yummy! 😋 I do love their green chilli rice and the lemon rice too! My go to nan are the Peshwari Nan (sweet nan) drizzled with honey and also the Keema nan (spicy mince meat). With new owners and 5*Food Hygiene you can't go wrong as every dish is cooked bespoke to your strength from mild to very hot ... Why don't you give them a try! You won't be disappointed

Ordered a delivery which took an hour and a half to arrive even though we only live a short distance away. The food was cold and didn't look appetising, it tasted average at best. Would not recommend.

I am baffled as to how a chef working in an Indian kitchen can cook a chicken vindaloo, bag it up, let it leave his kitchen and arrive to me (late) and it have zero heat...I mean literally no spice whatsoever, I've had hotter Kormas, also every other item on the order was just tasteless and just so subpar.AVOID

DO NOT USE THE DILSHAD! I would always get curries from the Dilshad, but on New year's Eve they sent the wrong curry with meat in (I'm vegetarian). The lady owner got abusive to me on the phone as though it was my fault she messed the order up. I said I'd wait for a replacement curry but she said it would take a few hours and she wouldn't make it as a priority to resend it. Along with that she said she'd have to charge me again for the delivery - an absolute joke for their own mistake. I asked for a refund but she will only refund the curry - so I then had a naan bread and rice to either eat dry or throw in the bin. I've spoke to some family and funnily enough they had a similar situation earlier in the year with the Dilshad. I'm never going their again and highly recommend everyone try a different takeaway - If not for the food at least for better service when something goes wrong.

Tried this place for the first time tonight,ordered the meal deal for 2 ...any 2 starters,any 2 curries,any 2 sides 2rice or naan...chose chips and veg curry as sides ....only the veg curry came that comes with the chicken biriyani...phoned to ask where it was.....was told I had a lot of food already....why put a meal deal on that you cant honour Following reply..... Strange how that wasnt mentioned on the phone when ordered.....plus I was charged 24.95 when the menu states 22.95 (even on the menu delivered with meal ) There is also nothing on your menu that says what curries are included in the deal...... And I am 1 mile away so well within free delivery

1.Origionally ordered from wrong place. 2. Got delievered, no one knocked door, only knew was outside as partner came home saying food was on door step. 3. Missing a rice from my order. 4. Food was nice but was on toilet for hours after eating it. Wont be ordering from here again& will makesure i order from right place next time!

Placed an order at 3pm, for a delivery at 7. They kindly cancelled at 6:30, but we only found out by calling them at 7:15. Order was through Uber Eats but they advised us that we should order through Just Eat. Thanks, it’s great to have such advice when the family is expectant, hungry and in lockdown. The response on the phone has encouraged us never to order here again.

Ordered the set “big” meal for 2 through Uber eats. The menu choices were confusing and we ended up with chicken tikka main but no sauce despite requesting. No one contacted us to discuss the order. The order was late being delivered and was only just Luke warm. The starter (pakora and shaslick) was tasteless and cold and portion sizes considering this was a “big meal” were average at best and even on small side. Main was just chicken tikka and onions. Dry, tasteless and cold. The sides were equally tasteless. Very disappointed . We tried this place as a first time and so disappointed we won’t go back and will stick to out usual ( we only used because we had a special offer through Uber eats). Sorry guys but you have not gained our future custom.

Ordered takeaway last week , starter and main meals disgusting, called to complain and for them to come and collect it was told to call back next week and they would replace meal, so called back the following week only to be told they would only give me 1 free main meal even though we spent £35 on the meal the week before. Will never order again. Be aware

Ordered delivery at 11:30pm it didn’t arrive until 1:30am. Turned the delivery away as was too late, the female owner was abhorrent and rude and under refused the amount I paid. The food has gone south of how good it used to be a few years back, combine this with the current owners lack of manners I’ll be using Redditch Spice from now on.

Used to be our favourite takeaway. Had an offer on Uber eats so decided to have a delivery. The offer didn’t apply and the food was late and absolutely awful. Tasteless, not as ordered, cold and the meat had gristle on it. Left it. Very disappointed

I have had several meals and have to say they were excellent from ordering online , delivery within the time allocated and the meal itself hot and well made and very tasty I will be ordering again and again. I usually have a King Prawn Korma and it is excellent

Ordered for delivery, for our food to come cold, was not happy, so phoned to complain and just had a load of attitude from the rude woman behind the phone, dident want to wait for fresh food and asked for a refund and was told I am a liar and my food wasent cold, absolutely disgusting will never be returning and would not advise to go here Even tried to feed the dog but even he dident want it

Oily, lacking in flavour, dry chicken. Greasy yet oddly tasty Roti. I've used Dilshad for years but wont be returning.

I'm only given a 1 star because you can't give a zero. Ordered our food at 18:45 final got it 20:20 after chasing after a hour to be told it will be 10 more minutes but they hadn't finished cooking it!!!! I told them to keep it but due to the fact they had already cooked it and they said that they didn't want the food to go to waste so I said fine but I expect it in 10 minutes infact it was 20. And I will not be ordering from the dishad again, as I said all they had to do was call to say that they are running late but no I had to chase.

Have used this place for years. Obviously new owners as last 2 deliveries took over 1.5 hours and cold when received. When chased lady blatantly lied. Will never use again - such a shame.

The kebab is 4 pound. It had 6 pieces of small meat in it. The salad was one chunk of lettuce in the middle. I politely asked if I could have some more meat and the response was rude and in helpful. Would not go again.

Place has changed hands and oh my the quality has gone down. Uaed to be a regular treat for the family but the food we received was terrible. Meat was very tough and sauces were almost set like cold gravy. Nan was very stoggy as if it hadnt been cooked long enough and the popadoms were burnt!!! No onion side anymore of mango sauces as there used to be and was chargwd over £30 for the pleasure. Will be finding a new takeaway sadly as there is no coming back from this- yep it was that poor!!

After a couple of weeks settling in, I am pleased to report that normal service has been resumed, and that my Balti takeaways on Friday and Saturday were excellent.

WE expected changes but not for the worst new owners ,been going here for a long time had curry to night no flavour completely tasteless they have changed the chicken to frozen cubes not fresh chicken Javid you have let us down badly.

The Dilshad has always been my favourite takeaway curry house in Redditch...good value and always quality tasty food...and very conveniently outside the pubs in headless cross

We had a takeaway from here tonight which smelt hurrnedous and gone off the second we took it out the bag, we called them back to then be told the sauce they had used in our meal had gone off absolutely shocking, we used to eat from here a lot so are very disappointed, lovely friendly people just such ashame this has happened tonight. We was gobsmacked.

Nice food,but not too spicy for this kind of place. Good that you can bring your own drinks which makes it cheaper than the other places in Selly.

Had to submit a review as this takeaway is not excellent. Me and my wife had a takeaway which was so salty we couldn't eat it. The food is also badly presented. Had a bad stomach for 2 days afterwards.

Amazing flavoursomme food and fab service have tried other places but they dont compare. My only problem is knowing what to choose as so many great dishes!
