Dhaka Tandoori in Redditch

Had a break from this place, for a while as I felt it had ‘gone downhill’. Was told by locals in pub opposite (very handy whilst awaiting order😉) so I thought I’d try again. I’ve had 3 excellent dishes from them and having another tonight! 👌

A good variety of Asian cuisines especially Indian dishes.

Just had the best curry for a long time ,used dhaka balti a few years ago, and glad to be using again forgot how good it tastes, absolutely perfect, prompt service and hot food full of flavour packed with meat,would highly recommend,

Not good food- poor quality and bland

Had a takeaway. Plenty of it but absolutely tasteless

Watery, oily, chicken meat taste undercooked and old. Not worth it.

We have regularly ordered from Dhaka and have enjoyed the food and service. However, 11th Nov we had placed an order at 6:30pm for it to be delivered cold at 8:10pm. We couldn't be bothered to ring and complain, but you've potentially lost a customer off the back of poor service and even worse food, sorry.

Strong flavor well priced, veg options but not strong on vegan side

We were traveling by and stopped to eat something in night. In search of Halal food we came across this place. The guy taking orders was nice and friendly. And then this person inside kitchen came out and was very offensive and stubborn. He was speaking in Bengali and also used Urdu when he learnt that I am from Pakistan. I really feel bad the way he spoke and treated us.

Would have given no stars to food if that option would be available because the food is unhygienic,chicken pieces in chicken biryani was old,taste was no near to chicken Tikka biryani ,feels like a waste of money,the owner eats from our food Infront of us,and the sauce was just butter in masala no taste,Suffered from indigestion due to the food.Pure waste of money.Any indian please do not try this food even at your own risk.

Ordered chicken pakoras as starter and the chicken was so dry & old and batter was stale defo past it’s sell by date 🤢 i have literally just thrown them all away Balti no flavour ☹️ Not usual standards and certainly not fresh cooked food ! 👎

Great vegetarian madras one off the best I've had

We order from here regularly and it is always tasty food. We’ve only ever had incident, where half of order was missing, but we called the restaurant straight away, they apologised and they sent fresh food straight out and we had it within half an hour. Customer service is ALWAYS really good!!

Poor service. No Biryani sauce with Biryani. Had to put in oven and wait for sauce. Chicken Pakora are a third of the size they used to be. Ordered a Peshwari nan and it had the sweet coating but no fruit inside. Don’t know what has gone on but very disappointed. Will not be returning x Doesn’t even deserve one star!!

Madras is my favourite curry and I really enjoyed theirs, nice and hot, fresh ingredients, lamb was tender. Nice friendly staff too. Only took 15 minutes to cook our take out and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be using them again and I have saved their phone number.

I have made an order tonight through food hub and 2 hours later I still haven't received my order. Money has been taken out but no food! Very disappointed. I want a full refund!

Avoid this place like the plague!! My parents had a delivery last week... chicken curry and a chicken biryani... the curry was full of water... clear water... my dad has to drain it all off... they also missed off the biryani sauce... they rang to complain... after a rather heated discussion on the fone new food was sent out... the curry was the same!! All water! And the biryani sauce was horrendous... a very small portion of some disgusting sauce full of peppers.. not the correct sauce at all. They couldn’t eat it and just through it in the bin. The water was due to the curry being frozen and had been defrosted on order!!! Please avoid this place!!!

Hadn’t had a Dhaka for a while (I don’t live nearby anymore and I’d heard some bad reviews). Went to collect one on New Year’s Eve. Was delicious! The chicken we all had in our Curries was like what you got from the Dhaka back in the day. Loads of chicken, and ‘proper’ chicken aswell, no little hard squares of chicken like most places serve up. Could not fault it. I have 1 or 2 Curries a week and this was the best chicken madras I’d had in a long while

Only recently discovered Dhaka, but we have ordered 4 times now and we are very impressed. The deals are fab! Chicken tikka starter and mixed tandoori kebab are lovely. Prawn Ceylon, Chicken Madras and Prawn and Chicken curry all very good. The deal also includes a popadom and rice or naan. Quickly delivery too...

Have ordered from here for the last 18 yrs never had a bad meal all my family use the same restaurant. Delivery service is great the staff are helpful and welcoming, food is always delivered hot and fresh. Can't find a complaint.

I have been coming here now for a number of years, as i eat curry regularly. We have never had a bad meal from here. The food is just outstanding, the chicken is good, the flavour is good, the spice is right, the portion size is brilliant, and the value for money is excellent! If you eat from here, I recommend the deals they do, for one, two or four people... :)

Chicken Dopiaza INEDIBLE - It tasted utterly sour and was loaded with salt. I threw mine away after a forkful. Very disappointed, then angry. I had spent over £30 and decided I would go in and speak to them. I took the other 3 curries in the next day (having been refrigerated overnight) and explained. No manager on site, member of staff "not understanding much English" so then another member of staff joined in and then another, until there were 5 of them all denying there was anything wrong with the food. Strangely, not one of them would try it! Chef was there too and he insisted he had been cooking dopiaza on Fri & Sat nights and it was okay. I told him I had probably been eating dopiaza a lot longer than he had been cooking it! They were not prepared to assist in any way, so I left telling them I would put my feelings down in a review. The cleanliness of kitchen & staff left a lot to be desired. I will NEVER eat anything from there again

Arrived 35 mind late , stone cold , items were incorrect .Burnt poppadoms , total waste of money as all uneatable.We have been customers at the Dhaka for over 15yrs, but will never order from them again , it's been very inconsistent for a while but last night was the worst yet ! Hardly any chicken in the chicken Madras , total rip off.No apology for lateness from them , all went on the bin!

Been eating food from the Dhaka since the mid 90’s.. the food these days is very hit and miss.. very inconsistent. When it’s good the food is amazing but when it’s bad you won’t wanna go back. One thing that has never changed is the amount Of chicken you get in the chicken dishes. Huge amounts of ‘real’ chicken. Not like most other places when you get a few little square bits of chicken. I like the Dhaka. But it’s not the best

We have ordered our Indian takeaways from Dhaka for many years, we usually have a good meal. Unfortunately this evening , for the first time, we are very disapppointed. Masala fish well OK but had very little salad and no mint sauce.. The 1/2 Tandoori Chicken was burnt to a crisp. The Lamb Tikka Biryani had very little lamb. May have to try elsewhere next time we want a take away.

we have not been to the Dhaka for about 6 years a flyer came through the door so we gave them a try, lovely food will be going back for more it was a bigish order 6 adults with starters and mains we all enjoyed the food and it was very reasonably priced

Busy day so wanted a lazy dinner at home, Dhaka Balti posted a flyer menu thru the door a couple of weeks ago and the other reviews were good so decided to try it. Ordering easy thru Just Eat, chose Chicken Ceylon, Chicken Pathia, Fried Rice, Keema Naan, onion salad and Raita. Feedback said approx 1hr delivery but turned up about 15min early delivered by a friendly smiling driver. The restaurant had added a couple of popadums and some salad, these were fresh and crispy and very much appreciated.Both curries were hot & fresh, nicely cooked and well flavoured, the fried rice was perfect and the naan fluffy and delicious. The helpings were to say the least generous and couldn't be eaten at one sitting. I can't find anything negative to say about this meal or the service and we will definitely become regulars.Way to go guys!

We always order from Just Eat, the food is always delicious and of top class quality. The delivery driver is always very friendly and polite, i would highly reccommend anyone try Dhaka

Ordered from here through Justeat, I was really happy and actually impressed with the food quality. The food was delivered 15 mins later then advised. Not the end of the world but notable.

Always good food here, in all the years I've never been disappointed, even when the management changed. I'm not a Piza fan, but they make a good one, had a free choice on the take away.

We decided to order from the Dhaka Pizza menu, and we weren't disappointed!! Was absolutely delicious. Generous topping with fresh tasting dough, it was definitely one of the best I have tried.

Asistieron a un evento familiar y es como estar en un pequeño salón. El curry salió más dulce que el postre, sabía a que había derramado en azúcar. Fuimos al baño moscas y había muerto y arañas, instantáneamente me quitó con falta de higiene

This really is our favourite Indian restaurant ever. We live in north Devon and every time we visit family in redditch we have food from here. We had been out New Year's Eve and so ordered our takeaway to a local hotel. The food was amazing as we knew it would be. Can't fault this place. Never disappoints ever!

DON'T BOTHER!!!! This was the greasiest kebab I have ever tasted. Asked for it on naan bread, got pitta, salad was at least a week old, lettuce looked more like cabbage!!!! ordered chips, came covered in cheese although I specified no cheese. Will not be using Dhaka again.

Order takeaway pizza from here as I enjoyed it dining in. The pizza arrive promptly in about 40 mins. I really enjoyed it. So yummy and the whole olives are delicious. It was delivered hot and the stuffed cheese crust was delicious as usual. I will definitely order from here again:-)

House special Biryany was definitely special and came with their own brand of sauce. Also had a lamb dish and a couple of naan breads, all cooked to perfection.

The Dhaka was a bit out of the way off the main street, in an area I have never been to before, but what a find! It was like being in someone's dining room.I visited with my husband, sister in law,and nephew, all of us adults aged between 48 and 80, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was recommended by my nephew who has eaten there before. Kal was a wonderfully friendly host/manager, He even adjusted the starter menu to accommodate what I wanted. The food was hot, just the right amount of spice for a medium dish, plentiful and with lots of choice. We all came away stuffed full!!It was a first for my sister in law eating Indian food out and it was a good choice for a first experience, and one she said she will repeat. It was amazingly cheap for the quality and quantity.I look forward to my next visits with friends and family.

Ordered some food from there tonight staff on the phone was outstanding helped me choose what to order and he defently knows good food the food wad delived very fast and hot the delivery driver was good and had a convo with him instead of just passing food and going great custermer service guys keep up the good work and you have now gained a new regular

We visited Dhaka last night and wasn't disappointed! The food and service is always of an excellent standard and nothing is to much trouble! The manager Khal is friendly and approachable. Food was served in a timely manner, piping hot and full of flavour. Big portions and plenty of meat in the dishes. We have also tried the takeaway side of the restaurant and the food is also of the same standard! Definitely our favourite Indian restaurant/takeaway in town ☺️

Came here tonight with my Husband and I must say the service and food was outstanding, very relaxed welcoming atmosphere and Luke made us feel very at Home with his honest and cheerful manner when taking our order. The food was delightful and very tasty, lots of flavour and so much of it we left feeling well fed and very satisfied. Since trying Dhaka last month I have been ordering almost everyday. What can I say the food is extremely delicious and top quality and unbelievabley good value for money. I will never order from anywhere else again.

Absolutely cracking service, excellent food very good sized portions. Excellent friendly host's very polite and wanted to make sure they had your order down to a T. Dhaka Balti catered for our works lunch recently.The Dhaka team arrived on time with a selection of currys, pizzas, salad, bhajis, samosas and poppadums.The food was absolutely delicious, the selection was just right and everyone said how they really enjoyed it.I wouldn't hesitate to book them for outside catering again.

We had a great night last night celebrating a friends 30th Birthday. Food was amazing piping hot & very tasty. Staff were very friendly and service was spot on. Thanks for a great night. Will be seeing you all again soon! :-)

Ordered a takeaway tonight and it was here within 50 minutes and the food was bang on! Definitely recommend!! Also last week I went to the restaurant and was superb, great customer service and food was smashing

Always enjoyed a Dhaka takeaway but tonight have been very disappointed. Charged 50p for using a debit card - new standard implemented by new management team we have been told. Food was not very hot and the Pathia was very sweet and not spicy. Been coming here for years but that's done it for us, no plans to return. Not even apology when I called to tell them.

The pizza's are out of this world! Best I've tasted fantastic. Nice atmosphere, nice decor and staff. Good for kids my 2 cleared their plates I was well impressed will defo be coming again. Recommend to everyone to try the pizzas. Will give the curries a try on our next visit.

We opted for the 3 course meal and could not have been happier! The food was beautifully cooked with wonderful flavours! The restaraunt was lovely and cosy and service was faultless and will definitely be returning again!

A small, homely space tucked away a short walk from the crowds of the town centre, their food has been consistently phenomenal on every visit and the service is both friendly and genuine.Home away from home, definitely give this place a look.

I recently had a meal here with a group of friends as I had heard it was under new management. It was great that you were able to choose between the curry or pizza menu (or a mix of both) my pizza was really delicious and my friends loved their curries. We were surprised by how reasonable the food prices were. The staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely be returning. I shall be ordering my takeaway pizza from here in the future!

I visited recently with my wife and daughter, the food here really is just outstanding, you won't find anything like it elsewhere. Friendly service, delicious flavour and generous portions, can't fault it!

Had an evening out with work colleagues most of them ordered indian but i oredered the pizza. It was AMAZING, looked gorgeous and tasted even better!

Me and My Partner regularly visit this restaurant, which is now under new management. We are both very impressed with the changes- the decor, staff and the food! The food is honestly the best that we've both had and we will definitely be returning. The atmosphere is lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Very good value too!

Having heard Dhaka was under new management we thought we'd give it ago, and don't regret it one bit! Food is always piping hot and full of flavour. Plenty of meat in the dishes and big portions! Staff are always friendly and helpful... Also it's recently been decorated so can't wait to go and see the new decor!

As Dhaka Balti had been taken over by new management, we though we will give it a try to check out what it is like and what improvements had been implemented. Having previously been recipient of mediocre service and food at Dhaka, we were pleasantly surprised during our visit. The service had improved under the new management, that was evident. But what really surprised us was the food itself. It was hot and delicious - all of us in the group were surprised. We will definitely be visiting again and trying out the takeaway service as well.

Visited with my partner who is indian and very judgemental about food. We both really enjoyed our meal. There was food left over as portion size was more thsn enough..They were happy to put in trays for us to take home... owners were very friendly and on hand to deliver a top class service...dnt let outside decor put you off step through the door for an authentic taste of India.

I've had 4 takeaways from Dhaka since they've had new owners and I can't fault them. Each time my food was delivered piping hot. There's always loads of meat in my dishes and they're always very tasty! I will definitely be ordering again and I'm looking forward to eating in there restaurant soon!

It's a great here I would defo come again the food is amazing and the tables are great and staff are great to get along with and manager is great and has a good laugh.

visited here a couple of weeks ago with 3 young children, have to say they were very accomodating.Also visited the take away side and again had no problems, The food was the best i have tasted in a long time. It has had a change of ownership recently and may have had a few teething troubles but dont let it put you off. The staff were very pleasent and couldnt do enough for us.You wont be disappointed.........

Having been a loyal user of the Dhaka for around ten years and never had a bad meal its sadly all gone downhill. I am reviewing the takeaway which is the same as the restaurant (same kitchen) and only found out just after New Years that there has been a change of owner as I popped in and spoke to the new manager. My meal on that night was a bit blander than normal and there was a lot less chicken than usual and the Bombay potatoes were hard BUT I thought i'd put that down to teething issues and would give it a go as after all I've been going there for ten years.So tonight I ordered again and after turning up to collect my food pretty much on the dot when it I was told it would be ready I was told it'll be another five minutes so I took a seat.After another twenty minutes my food was ready..........but while I waited I was witness to the disorganisation of the kitchen and the comments out the back which gave me an idea of what my food was going to be like again.When I got home I found I had chicken instead of chicken tikka as ordered and the chicken was dry.........proper bone dry like on an overcooked roast. The biryani sauce was bland and too thick.The chicken Rogan was bland, tasted very salty and just poor..........sadly the nan was flat n greasy too.Its such a shame as this place was great and I recommended it to everyone but now its just lost its flavour and panache.........so its with regret I've ripped up my menu, deleted the number and will now go elsewhere.RIP Dhaka.

Been going the dhaka for twenty years.. Best chicken madrass you will ever come across by a mile. Yes the place is starting to look a little 'untidy' inside especially in the takeaway part but for me the chicken curry dishes are out of this world

Went to this restuarant to give it a try, we love Indian food and it was local so we thought its worth a go. It was horrible. it was a 4 course meal for £7.95, we had poppadums and dips, which were ok, then the starters had obviously been microwaved, so were tough and quite tasteless, the main courses, well, I had a prawn curry my husband had chicken, the sauce both tasted the same, mine was only what can be described as a prawn stew, plenty of onions which were boiled, but no resemblance to curry whatsoever, there was not the slightest taste of curry flavour or any type of spice at all, very bland and my husbands was exactly the same. I do not know if you get served this because your having the deal but quite honestly Id rather pay more and have decent food. The place itself is dirty and dull looking, windows,mirrors all looked like they could do with a good clean. The man who served us was pleasant enough, but that was the only good thing. We will certainly not be returning here, not good at all.

The food was not nice at all it was very disgusting and a waste of money' would not recommend to others or border from here again.
