I accompanied Mom and Friends to The Shahi Palace; a regular favourite of ours, for our usual catch up conversation over sumptuous quisine. 😊 I'm writing this review because the Chefs surpassed themselves tonight. 🥰 Last Month I sampled the Lamb Balti and Sag as a change from my usual Korma and it was delightful. Mom and friends tasted it and agreed it was very good. 😯 This Month Mom and Friends asked me to remind them what it was I had last time and I reminded them. Our Friends shared a Lamb Balti and Sag with Pilau Rice. Mom had Lamb Balti, Mushrooms and Sag with Pilau Rice. I had Chicken and Lamb with Mushrooms and Sag and a plain Nann. 😋 My Chicken and Lamb with Mushrooms and Sag was exquisite; full of flavour with enough spices to tingle the palate without overwhelming the flavour of the meat and vegetables. The Naan was baked to perfection being light and fluffy with a crispy base perfect for spooning the Balti to my mouth. 🥰😋🥰 To all at The Shahi Palace, a heartfelt Thank You for I think the best meal we've ever tasted. 👍🏻🥰🙏🏻

Absolutely excellent food and great service could not fault it the menu is extensive and any food requirements are met the staff are friendly and helpful very attentive

Absolutely wonderful service. They couldn’t do enough for you. Delicious food and generous portions. I had the tandoori mixed grill and the chicken was extremely tender. The seekh kebab had a really good flavour as well. The rest of our party really enjoyed their meals as well.

Having not visited Shumon and the team for far too long we paid a visit and was treated absolutely superbly. All the food was top draw and the service was fantastic. Cant wait to visit again !

Got 2 Chicken baltis. Extremely disappointing. The sauce had virtually no flavour or spice whatsoever and was quite watery and not condensed down. We've had much better out of a jar. The rest was OK Naan bread, rice, but severely let down by the curry. Have had a decent spicy curry from here before but tonight's certainly was not 👎

Had a take away last night and food wasn't tht nice. Egg fried rice had loads of onion in. Chips tasted undercooked and was soggy from sweating in bag but hard potato. Wouldn't return and would recommend

Service very quick. Staff are definitely on the ball. Unique menu. All hot and tasted delicious. Nice decor inside. Definitely visit again when in the area

Great food great atmosphere went for a birthday treat

This unassuming Indian restaurant is an absolute gem. I can't recommend it enough. Great staff, friendly relaxed atmosphere and excellent food at reasonable prices.

What can I say the dish says it all and they really got my delivery wrong, no puri with my chaat, no mushrooms in my vindaloo and above all no salad. Yet I was in here a week ago on the 25th December with my Dad and had a great time. Sort it out or you will lose customers.

Oh my god ,went here on a Friday night ,really looking forward to a curry with my sister who I dont see often,only to be told ,Sorry we shut at 11!!! What....Its a Friday night for god sake ,! Whats going on in Redditch when you cant have a curry past 10 oclock ? Its an absolute joke!!!

I had a birthday celebration with a large group, They have an upstairs room which can seat 50 people, All of my group loved it, I am amazed that they can cater for so many and they can bring the food out at the same time.. .It was delicious.. Shahi Palace made this a wonderful experience that helped to make it a very special day. I dine here regularly, and it's always fantastic and delicious food. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.

Not a good experience. The Tandoori Chicken was ok, despite the leaking foil bag it was delivered in. The rest of the food was rather bland. The worst part was the delivery and presentation. I don’t know if it was the restaurant, or the delivery company, but the food arrived exactly two hours after ordering, and it was cold. The packages were squished tightly into a bag that was too small, and the containers were squished, bent, and leaking. It was a mess everywhere taking things out of the bag onto the counter. There were tightly tied small plastic bags containing what seemed like salads. Not well packaged. There was a doughy item we could not identify, even after tasting it. When the delivery guy came to the door, he handed me the bag silently,and I asked if they were busy, as it had been exactly two hours. He looked at his slip of paper, and said "was it? Oh yes…it was two hours…call the restaurant, it wasn’t me", and walked away. I do not believe this restaurant is really equipped to offer delivery. Two hours with no updates, and not well packaged. I can put up with food that isn’t to my taste, but the delivery and mess unpacking it all ruined the experience completely. We had ordered £45 worth of food, planning for leftovers. We threw most of it away though. We’ve complained to the delivery company, and are not sure how this will be handled. My suggestion to anyone wishing to try this restaurant would be to visit and eat in.

Visited tonight to celebrate my birthday with a family member. I'd rang the previous day to make a reservation. When we arrived an older waiter guy made us sit on 2 small chairs cramped up against a wall. Then ordered us to sit next to a table with rowdy people on it. The waiter was very blunt and we felt very unwelcome. I ordered a balti dish madras hot and it came on a plate with hardly any meat (we counted 3 small pieces), and the dish was not madras hot but bland, could not taste spices. We were made to sit behind these big white builders buckets and the carpet was dirty and ripped. No hot towels after meal and was charged just under £30. Then the miserable waiter shockingly said 'I keep the change'. I left feeling very disappointed and a bit deflated with the attitude of the 2 older guys! It's hospitality, and I will remember my birthday feeling deflated. It wasn't busy for a midweek evening, (a third full) and out of all of the curry houses in the area we chose this one as it was recommended to us. I enquired before leaving about how much a Xmas meal would cost and was given a very vague answer. I won't bother now. Well we live and we learn. I shall not be coming back. Thanks guys for making what was supposed to be a special night a very glum affair. Mr James.

Fitted us in but already busy and more so after we left Over all very good... But even down south west we don't charge £5 for 3 poppadoms.. Lost a star on food for that...

Staff are welcoming, polite and full of personality. Food portions are generous, full of flavour and excellent value. Only place we will go for a curry from now on. Excellent.

Not too many choices for places to eat out in Redditch now. Food is ok but general state of the building is very poor. Really nasty carpets. It looks like they are currently have some renovations done so hopefully things will improve.

Took my mum for her 70th birthday and the guys at Shahi went waaaay above and beyond.. they were absolutely fantastic and even got my mum a cake!! The food was delicious and priced cheap for the quality of food that we had. I could not recommend this place enough. The food, the atmosphere and the service was incredible. Thank you Shahi palace for making my mum's 70th birthday absolutely lovely.

My friend and I visited Shahi Palace for dinner for the first time while visiting Redditch . We ordered dinner for two. The food was delicious, well-seasoned, and exceptional 10/10. The customer service was top-tier. We were greeted with a warm welcome and informed of food recommendations. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and will be back not just for the delicious food, but for the warm and welcoming customer service that we received. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. You will enjoy the food and the atmosphere.

Haven't been here for ages. Had a reunion of old colleagues. All though I haven't been here for ages, I had monkfish special which was excellent, the service is still very good, atmosphere is still very good on the plus side they serve alcohol now. Would recommend this restaurant 💯

Delicious food, very affordable and lovely staff.

Food was amazing, they definitely got a top rated chef. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was very authentic and olden-days, like a went back in time for some tandoori and nan dish.

Had a lovely meal in the restaurant tonight and the service was outstanding by Rhan who went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed. Good job.

They don't have a liqueur licence, so you can take in your own. We didn't, but we drank coke and water, i was still eating my dinner 2 days later, I'd ended up with a doggy bag, it was so delicious I had to take the rest home.

BEST CURRY IVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!! the chicken tikka masala was absolutely Devine, chicken cooked to perfection rice was fluffy and don’t get me started on the peshwari naan ! Wow , staff was so friendly and helpful and you can bring your own drinks , the only downside was how expensive the popadoms were (£8 for 6!!) 🤔 overall highly recommend and definitely get the peshwari naan !

This place is UNREAL,quality of food for an Indian where you can bring your own booze is UNBELIEVABLE it’s like 5 ⭐️ with such competitive prices . Will be coming back for sure .

Went last night for my dads birthday meal, food was poor took hour ro come , the waiter was ever so rude my son was ordering he put his hand over his mouth and told him to shhhhh please don't lay your hands on my child , was alot better years ago now a load of rubbish

Worst place for customer service waiter kept telling us to shush and he put his hand in my grandsons face the bottle of wine I ordered was from Aldi under 4quid and my son in law went and got me a bottle of wine and the rude waiter took it off the table no hot towels or mints at end of meal

Had a fantastic take away meal here Saturday Shurmon as he has for years knocked it out the park with care and attention. Great flavours and super tasty. I had the monkfish and was really happy with the depth of flavour. 100% will be back

This is the 2nd time I've ate at this place and I have to say - I love it! The food is superb, prices are good, and the staff are really nice and super friendly. It's definitely not a posh looking place, but everything else makes it an absolute 5 star dining experience.

Was a lovely evening and lovely service. Can’t fault the food either . The customer service however wasn’t up to standard. When we ordered we wasn’t made aware that every person had to order a main meal. Let alone if they didn’t they apply a service charge. When we questioned the bill one member of staff bluntly said it’s on the menu. We looked at the menu and yes it states each person should order a main but doesn’t state a service charge if they don’t. On asking about this again bluntly told it was on the menu ? We then asked why this wasn’t addressed when we was ordering ? To then have the waiter walk off and bluntly shout apologies for language here (piss off) to which point we was disgusted by this language by a member of staff to his customers especially on their birthday let alone the choice of language they used. Will not be going back to be treated that why and especially on my birthday . Was extremely upset by this . If he had spoke to us in a good manner this may of been resolved. But to speak to us in that time of language we paid for what we had with out the service charge of not having one more main. Thank you for putting a damper on my birthday .

Just had Christmas dinner there with my family .Couldn't fault it and the staff were exceptional.

I was very disappointed both with the food and service. As a curry lover i have eaten in many great indian restaurants. The poppadom sauces were poor, flourescent green mint yoghurt and thai sweet chilli sauce, not at all traditional. I ordered a madras which had plenty of chilli but was a luminous orange colour and pretty tasteless. The rice was dry and almost cold. My friend ordered a curry with chicken and spinach which was greasy and bland. The only positive thing i can say is the naan bread was good! Staff were distracted by a large party, so we felt pretty much ignored. Wont be going back.

Was visiting Birmingham for the weekend snd found this little gem by accident. Food is lush top 3 I've been to. Couldn't fault the service either.

First time ordering last night as i live in Birmingham..needless to say I'd never order from here again!! 2hrs after eating my curry i had really bad stomach cramps and ended up with food poisoning! Up all night and had to call in sick to work!! 24hrs later i still cant keep water down and am dehydrated. Stay away from this place!!

If u want food poison welcome to the shahi Palace ! Last night I had. Visit from a friend from Birmingham we ordered a meal to share and even then we were given the wrong food so had to wait for delivery... Needless to say after bad service along came a horrendous night sleep for both of us and are both left with food poisoning resulting in a day of work . I'd recommend any one walk the other way !!!

I enjoyed my meal tonight, very tasty. The chicken was plentiful and succulent covered in Spinach and tasty Balti sauce. Sheesk kebab was fine as a starter and the red wine washed everything down with style. Place clean and tidy, staff all very helpful

I went last weekend for a birthday meal with friends. Waiter who served us was miserable,ignoring us constantly. We have to wait to order our food 20min. Even when we didn't finishing eat this waiter keep coming and asking are we finish. He didn't even asked about food or etc. Also we've notice it's dirty on the walls. Food was ok,but it's not clean place also with rude waiter. We definitely not coming back there.

Waited an hour for the food. Vegetarian sag aloo turned up with big chunks of chicken in it. Had to go back and exchange that meal, but all meals were swimming in oil. I ate the rice and naan but couldn't eat the curry. We will not be ordering from there again, I'm afraid.

I would not recommend this place the staff attitude was not correct and service was like they are doing free. Food taste and quality was really poor not at all like indian/asian food. Kheema naan there was no mince meet its all solid. Chiken tawa was like sweet tomato sauce and saltless. Complete waste for me. They didn't even mention prior about Card payment not working and it was written at enterence like tiny letter which is hardly notice by anybody.

Always superb food and friendly professional staff

We were on a trip to Redditch and accidentally found this place. One of the best Biriyani I ever had. Owner was very friendly and the place is great. He even gave us silverware for the take out order ( We were staying ina Primer Inn - We returned the next day). Amazing Service Service and Amazing Food.

We have only had takeaways so far from this restaurant. The quality and taste of the food we order is always excellent. Food is always hot, fresh and well cooked. We will hopefully visit soon and are sure we won’t be disappointed. Also ordering is easy and delivery and customer service is good.

Shahi Palace is one of the oldest yet one of the best places to dine in New Jersey. They are experts in catering to large gathering for marriage, parties, graduations etc. The owner Mr. Sultan himself gets involved and is very hospitable. He brings the best of Pakistani cuisine in the heart of New Jersey. Its one of the best, so don’t miss their weekend buffet !

What's happened to the Shahi. The only way to get good service is to eat in the resturant. The take away service is disgusting have waited over hour for order to be delivered still waiting hasn't arrived yet .last time I'll be using Shahi.

Had a fabulous family meal with excellent service

Booked a table for 4 people by phone. Booking accepted but when we arrived said they were closing and had no record of our booking. The man in restaurant was very rude asking what time I rang and who I spoke to. No apology given....

I first ate at this restaurant in 2019 and have recently returned on a business trip. The food was excellent both times, The flavors and presentation were very good. The papadam and sauces and nan are terrific. The chicken tikka masala was excellent too. Plenty...

Food is lovely but toilets and kitchen are terrible.

They took the money and canceled the order for no reason. I got my money back after 3 weeks by doing a chargeback at the bank. I do not recommend.

Normally the food from here is really good, but tonight it was awful. We ordered 3 balti's and they were all tasteless so lacking in flavour it did not taste like a curry of any description. If we had this in house at least we could have changed the food but because it was a takeaway it seemed too much hassle. Looks like we will no longer have this on our takeaway list. Shame really...

Really friendly staff when you first arrive, food was prompt but not the tastiest! After the main course the staff seemed to forget us, not offering sweets or other drinks. I did order a coke with the main course but that didn't appear. It wasn't very busy either so.

My regular! Sham is an excellent attentive manager. His team are polite and friendly and always willing to help. Every visit results in a great curry from the Shahi Palace. If you need to tailor your curry simply ask! Looking forward to my next visit.

Another wonderful experience i had at this amazing restaurant. Absolutely talented chef. The service i received was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be dining there again very soon. Thankyou team for a great time.
