Dil Raj in South Ribble

I’m so disappointed to be writing this review. We have ordered from them almost weekly for years. Tonight is the very last time we will order! Ordered at 7:15, website said delivery would be 8:15. At 8:45 it still hadn’t arrived so I rang them. I was told it was already on its way. No apology for it being late. They are ten minutes from me. At 9:15 it still hadn’t arrived so rang them again. Again completely unapologetic. I said I wanted a partial refund, at least delivery charge and they point blank refused and said a two hour wait is fine! No, a two hour wait is ridiculous!

I have been ordering from the Dil Raj for well over a decade. The food is amazingly tasty, of high quality, and the portions are generous. The staff are fantastic and the delivery is always on time, and quite often arrives quicker than expected. I can’t recommend the Dil Raj highly enough; even when I moved from Leyland to Penwortham a few years ago, I still stuck with the Dil Raj.

Ordered from here a few weeks ago. Food was good, only downfall was the garlic naan was not cooked, but thought not a problem, whack it in the oven. Thought we'd give it another shot tonight. Ordered at 18:35pm.. Can someone let me know if they have received a takeaway for two, as we are still waiting.. Not sure what happened. Third time lucky?.. I don't think i will may it to third base with dil raj. Any other indian cuisines in leyland??

Our latest takeout last weekend was way below Diraj usual standard. Dried up, probably re-heated samosas, bhajis & shish kebabs, the garlic naan had the garlic butter slapped on top & wasn't cooked through properly, not edible. C'mon Dilraj, standards are slipping, we won't be bothering again any time soon.

Wont answer phone when busy.!!! Telephone manner awfully when they do answer. Wont deliver after 9.30 although states free delivery upto 11.00 So now I use Mumbia Masalla leyland excellent service along with excellent food 👍👍👐

Ordered online and advised the food would be with me within the hour. It was not!! 2 hours later i was still waiting. No one answered the phone so i was unable to get an update or cancel. Wont use again

Come to the Dil Raj for our regular take-out treat. Food is always freshly cooked and of the highest quality, staff friendly & polite, our favourite is chicken tikka balti looking forward to our next visut

The food and service from the Dil Raj has always been excellent. We tend to not eat too many take-a-ways, but the Dil Raj is one of our firm favourites. Food is always hot when it arrives and is tasty.

Just had a take away from here and it was absolutely superb. Food hot and well cooked and delivered on time. Highly recommended.

Often visit here, you can’t go wrong. Spot on! Helpful staff, can easily help you sink 10 or 12 pints in a night.

Been here many times and the food is always superb and priced reasonably. The staff are friendly and the kitchen is open which is a bonus

Main meal was cold, we have used this Indian years and first time I have to complain as it usually our favourite , starter was burnt so inedible ,main was cold , order was 45 mins late 😩

I’ve always enjoyed the food from the Dil Raj and their delivery service makes it even better. On-line ordering (their own website or with JustEat) makes the Dil Raj a firm family favourite.

Sadly, after previous good meals from the Dil Raj, our latest meals were substandard; chicken tikka dishes far too salty & half portions of vegetable sauce, or should say just sauce, both tubs were half-fillled & lacked any veg! Not good enough tonight guys, has put us off from returning 😠

The Dilraj is the sister restaurant to the Imli in St. Annes, where I had a delicious meal with family (see separate review). Tried a takeaway from the Dilraj, onion bhajis were crunchy and delicious, chicken tikka jalfrezi was beautifully spiced and went down a treat with pilau rice and chips. Takeaway portions were very generous and it wasn't expensive. An excellent experience! *** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***

Lovely food here, great chicken tikka along with mouth watering sauces and mused starter. Try here before going anywhere else, not to be missed.
