Diego's Fried Chicken in St. Helens

Just eat said 30 min wait. I placed the order and it said 60-90 mins. After 90 mins the order hadn’t even been prepared. Still at the accepted stage 24 missed calls to the shop and no answer. Crock of sh*te, don’t use this shop

Waited almost 2 hours for a melted bueno milkshake that wasn’t even bueno They’d just dribbled cheap hazelnut SPREAD not sauce round the cup & used cheap ice cream that would make pepe go green , ordered 4 nugget meals- got 1 with 3 nuggets that tasted nor looked like chicken & chips that were so dry they looked like they’d spent a month on beds at a local sunbed salon …. Finally the ham & pineapple 12” pizza …. What can I say except my ex must have made it because he always thought 3” were 12” Driver said “I’ll be back” but unlike Arnie he never was 🤢🤮 cheeky dogs took almost £25 for food that wasn’t even here or edible

A review to rectify a bad one from my other half, ordered food this evening kebab and chilli sauce and chicken kebab with garlic mayo turned up wrong, garlic mayo on the kebab and chilli on the chicken kebab. Rang to complain and to be fair they rectified it within 1/2 an hour. Food is always tasty from here but it’s twice in last 4 orders that it’s been wrong in some way. Be great if it wasn’t for this

Wouldn’t give it 1 star except I had to give something. Ordered on big foodie at 5.55pm Still not here at 20.50 what a joke never order from here again. Not t I he first time we’ve been burned

Food was cold and order was wrong. I can forgive them being late with everything that’s going on . Won’t be ordering from them again

Being lazy we decided to order a take away, 2 kabab, chips and garlic bread, food was ok, arrived quickly and was very reasonably priced.

Received a leaflet through our door the other week for this place and decided to give them a try. Prices are a little more steep than the other take aways we've tried around st Helens. We placed our order at 7.40pm for delivery and the guy put the phone down on me without saying how long we would have to wait. At 8.30pm still no sign so I had to phone them back to be told the guy was just leaving the shop now. 10 minutes later food arrived pizza was nice but not very hot my hubby ordered the cheese burger meal which he enjoyed. I suppose it was OK for a one off but won't be ordering from here again.

Diego isn't his real name,its abdull,and he's as much Greek as you are scottyboysthelens, he's from Iran, and his pizzas have always been frozen, I can't believe he's still lying after all this time.

Just been here for the first time we will definitely be back. Ordered 2 mixed kebabs and burger and chips the portions are massive definitely only needed one kebab between us. Staff are very friendly expecially the girl who's in the shop definitely recommend we'll be back

went in again couple of weeks ago to give it another go to find the place was not as clean as it was staff were rude and the shish kebab i had was cooked to much and not very nice.the previous owner diego has started up again in pocket nook as the food factory i will start going there again.and in response to a previous review diegos pizzas were fresh not frozen and he is a greek cypriot.

Great place the new owner added delivery service which is great pizza dough here made daily not like the previous one using frozen ready dough kebab and chips same quality I would like to say something about the previous review who is said the new people changed the meat because of their religion that is positive attitude as long as they respect it but the strange thing Diego and the new owner has same religion he is Iranian but he told customers that his from Greece which is not correct and another thing the hygiene rating from St. Helens council higher than before with the new owner I would recommend to everyone want great food thanks xxx

I used to be a regular and thought Diego had been on holiday... and expected it was a 'one off' blip in quality sadly it's not and I won't be returning. This is the second or third disappointing meal. The quality and taste is now sadly what most kebab places in St Helens are, it's now in my opinion no better than most of the others.

diego no longer owns this, the new people are ok but the place now looks dirty and because of there religion they have change some of the meats on there pizzas the shish kebabs does not the taste the same as when diego owned it and they have started doing deliveries so the waiting time has now doubled,diego now owns the codfather in st helens

The new mangement won the challenge a lot of new options delivery unbelievable very quick Thanks guys

Love this place for chips - they are seriously THE best ever take away chips and the staff are lovely gents

Previous owner gave wonderful service which was lacking on recent visit. Order not completely correct and had to put pizza in the oven to cook more when we got home. Really disappointing.

Such a nice chap, you can tell the food is better quality than many take aways, the lamb is lamb, not mutton. The place is spotless, plus Diego is a very nice chap - always cheerful.
