Lovely breakfast had here. Friendly staff who were more than accommodating for dietary needs. Will definitely be returning. Dogs are welcome here also!

I am very pleased to say, I have never been more surprised or happy that I was recommended this place! The welcome, especially for a Monday, was so very warm and lovely and then to be treated with such a lovely and varied menu. The choice of vegetarian options was outstanding and the meat options was sublime. I chose the full English with the French toast and maple syrup, boy was I a happy man. This has to be one of the finest cooked breakfasts I have ever had the pleasure of eating! The maple syrup, just cuts through any of the saltiness from the bacon and the French toast was cooked perfectly and the ideal way to mop all those juices at the end. I am salivating again just remembering it. My wife had the Cardo-combo which she said was heads above anything she had ever had before in the South West, if not anywhere. It really offered a wonderful alternative to a full English, with some healthy options but really satisfied and left her full for the rest of the day. For really affordable and wonderfully cooked food, I really can't recommend highly enough and their coffee's again truly were a very high standard indeed, far better than any chain, that's for sure!!

We come here regularly. The coffee is amazing and the breakfast is always really good quality. They are a really friendly team and will do everything they can to sort a table for you asap, even happy to reserve the next available table if you are happy to come back in 5-10 minutes.

Popped in for a coffee and a bite with a friend , it was very very busy though the table we were on was cleaned quite quickly. The coffee was so so , a bit overpriced in my opinion considering the size of the cup Main issue was my friends sausages actually had gristle / bone in them which could be a chocking hazard. She didn’t eat her sausages and we both said we probably wouldn’t be in a rush to come back In understand the sausages aren’t made by the cafe but it’s obvious the stuff is cheap and priced up. The service was fast and efficient but didn’t make up for the food quality

We have visited many times, but in the last year we have also frequented another nearby coffee shop too , which has unfortunately recently closed. We returned here for coffees which have always been good, only to be told we would have to have cardboard cups as that was their new policy! Apparently it was advertised on Facebook that from 3pm drinks would only be served in takeaway cups and as we were visiting at just after 2.50 this would still apply to us!! I’m pretty sure..if they’d made our coffees immediately we could have been drinking them by 3pm! But…they were quite happy to see us walk away.

Brilliant Beans! Visited today - Sunday - for snacks and drinks - extremely welcoming and food was excellent in both presentation and value for money - great time management, with singing too! We will be absolutely be back - we highly recommend ;)

Small family get together as our mother has just moved to Plympton. I cannot praise this place enough. Exemplary and accommodating service in a relaxed atmosphere coupled with delicious food. Outstanding, and look forward to my next visit. Thank you.

I have been here several times and only recently learnt you can book a table, to which I was delighted as I've had to wait for a table before. I booked a table for 2 on two separate occasions this week. I was informed by a female member of staff yesterday that they won't be booking tables for those customers that aren't eating anymore. The friend I was with yesterday said she'd had bettwr have something to eat so ordered a sandwich. The member of staff didn't deliver the message very well, I wasn't keen on her attitude at all. All the other members of staff were good, it was just this one You shouldn't have to feel obliged to buy food when you don't really want it just so you can book a table. I've never had this problem with any other independent cafe I've been to.

Not sure i have ever had a more delicious breakfast . Excellent . My grandson doesn't like eggs and he was able to have maple syrup and French toast with his breakfast. Friendly,welcoming café.

First time here but won't be my last and as for the breakfast it was of such good quality the bacon nice and thick and the sausages are the best I have had, as I could not eat all my bacon I asked if they had anything to put it in and they got me a container but the service did not end their as I have a a walking problem the owner helped me to the car. Top marks and thank you

Positioned at top of Ridgeway l guess it'd be easy to not know it was there but l'm so glad it was recommended as a dog friendly place. Spaciously laid out and very clean, the owner came straight over to make a fuss of the dogs, bringing a saucer of treats! And look at this, the 'small' breakfast l couldn't even finish, beautifully presented and quality products used, tasty with Capital T!! Definitely be back here soon...

What amazing service. They were very understanding of my dietary needs and so so friendly. My drinks were just how I like them. I will definitely be going back.

This place is amazing. Popped in today and boy it was busy. I managed to get a little table and ordered. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Bacon crispy. Tea with little milk bottle was lovely. Staff are very welcoming and seem fun people. Would recommend to all.

Great service, lovely coffee. Forest fruits and yogurt flap hack fantastic! They even brought over some little dog biscuits for the hound.

Love this place!! Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Coffee is really good and the cake selection is also worth a try . Very relaxed atmosphere and you never feel rushed regardless if you just pop in for a coffee or food. Plenty of other coffee places on the ridgeway but this is always my first choice in fact I never go anywhere else!

Lovely friendly establishment that couldn’t do enough for us, our food was freshly cooked, tasted beautiful and there lots to choose from. First but definitely not my last visit. Clean , welcoming and dog friendly

Best coffee and food on the ridgeway. Always my go to place for a treat. Supporting a local business while also enjoying their fun, delicious menu and kind, lovely staff! I always recommend DidBeans to anyone wanting somewhere to eat and drink locally. DidBeans is always so busy for a reason!

I visited one Tuesday morning to try their breakfast, and it was fantastic, everything cooked to perfection, quality ingredients, and good touches such as Chives on top of the eggs. Definitely recommend.

We had a very good breky. The place is really nice , and the food was all excellent except the sausages. IF they had been nicer , I’d of given the place 10/10. We did have to wait a while for the food and if they decided to buy decent quality butchers sausages in future, then it would be perfect. My mrs who never complains, agreed that my sausages wernt the best. Overall 8/10,

We love this cafe and have visited often. The coffee is good and the staff very friendly. But……over the months we have found it just too hot to sit inside as there’s no air con and more recently we have gone elsewhere as it has been extremely noisy. The loud music doesn’t help! There are a few outside tables but the weather has to be right for those! Not sure what it’s going to be like in the winter with the heat and noise! There is competition now by another cafe nearby!

Tried this coffee shop for a change when visiting The Ridgeway. Didn't realise quite how dog friendly it was. This is OK if you are a dog lover. I don't mind dogs but I am not a fan of dogs in places where people are eating, and there were quite a few dogs there when we visited and all sitting on the floor. Perhaps this coffee shop would be better suited on the moors rather than in a shopping area. Quite concerned to see member of staff (possibly the manager) smoothing dogs, giving them treats etc and then back serving behind counter without washing her hands! Coffee was OK but cakes and flapjacks were quite expensive compared to other coffee shops we have been to.

We live in Plympton but only discovered Didbeans Coffee this week. Previously parking nearby had been very difficult but that has now changed and so getting there is much easier. We didn't know we had missed visiting such a lovely cafe run by wonderful, friendly people. Twice this week we have visited. Once just for coffee and cake and two days later, for lunch. We just had toasted sandwiches but they were some of the best we have eaten. Freshly done and not totally flattened in a machine! The choice of lunch items and cakes too, is really good and everything that we have eaten has been lovely. There were plenty of drink choices too, the lattes were really good but I noticed that lots of people were having the iced drinks and they looked amazing. Next time I will try one of these creations. Didbeans is now our cafe of choice. We thoroughly recommend the cafe but it seems that we are not alone because each time we have visited there have been plenty of people inside.

My husband and I are down in Plymouth for a nice weekend away and wsnted a spot of lunch before we checked into our hotel. We found DidBeans. This cafe was busy, but as soon as we walked in the staff in there asked if we'd like to sit down and offered us a newly cleared table. They advised us that we could mix and match items on their menu and were very friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely lunch in there and will certainly be back. Having paid a late morning visit to a relative we stopped off at DidBeans Coffee for a light Lunch and Coffee. Good size Menu of both Food & Drinks with prices very reasonable. We ordered Two Bacon Sandwiches on Brown Bread plus. Coffees of a Flat White & Large Latte. Food quality was very good & tasty plus the Coffees were smooth and very nice. Service is Friendly & Efficient, plenty of Seating and Free WiFi. Well worth a visit.

Me and my friend had a quick brunch at the cafe and had the loveliest time! Not only was the atmosphere great but the food and coffee was absolutely brilliant! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and I would recommend this café to anyone!

We normally get our takeaway coffee here as it is really good and probably the best in the area. On our last visit we decided to eat there. We both ordered the vegan cheese and beans on toast. When it arrived we were told the the cheese would melt, but that was fairly impossible given the beans were luke warm. It was edible for me but not my wife. However, when she advised the staff the response was an "Aw, that's a shame". Customer service should be better!

When you have visiting family from the USA, and you are invited to brunch on a Sunday, there is no better place to go than here. Car parks at the ridgeway Plympton are plentiful and free. This cafe is a short walk from them and is well worth a visit. Extensive menu, freshly made on the premises, and variety of drinks too. Great quality coffee ☕️, and their loyalty card is worth having, as once you’ve visited, you’ll return. Lovely friendly staff, very attentive, and the whole place is kept very clean including the toilet facilities. Indoor and limited outdoor seating. All on the level for mobility challenged customers. Highly recommend.

Great when the boss is in. Not so great when she’s out. Food is warm and lots of it when the boss is in. Cold and not as much food when the boss is not there. It’s as if the cook either undercooks the food...
