Really pleasant visit. Service was good, food selection was really good and fresh. I had the lambs neck and it was fab! Beautiful rice, lamb fell off the bone and was beautiful. Also had an Afogato for desert which was great. Would definitely recommend

Chicken came out dangerously cold, defibately microwaved, as other pieces were spitting, salad was poor, staff were totally fake, unhelpful and took some plates, away while people were chatting having obviously NOT finished their meals. By no means a nice evening. My friends had the mixed grill between 4 people, they said the lamb was good but some pieces of chicken not hot, very very dangerous. Most of the cold chicken we left behind, a dreadful waste. We left as soon as possible... I would never go back nor would my friends. Sad as the location is great, and it could be fabulous. Lastly the tabouleh was also not fresh a simple thing that should be right at all costs with Persian food.

Looking for somewhere to have dinner whilst in Wimbledon. This one looked good so we popped in. Comfortable, clean place where they made us very welcome. We went for the hummus and an aubergine dish for starters followed by slow cooked chicken. It was all great, the chicken was serious soft and really tasty. I would thoroughly recommend this eatery.

Incredible food with friendly service. Watch the bread being cooked to order. Fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. Took family who had not tasted Persian before. We chose a variety of starters and mains and tasted each others. All were amazing. Finished off with Persian saffron ice cream and Persian tea. A wonderful evening.

Fabulous decor in a conveniently situated restaurant in Wimbledon. Service was friendly. Food was fine. Starters delicious. Recommend mixed mezze. Main courses were huge and unmanageable which rather took the shine off the taste.

We visited the restaurant after seeing a play at teh theatre close by We had booked and were relatively early, despite this the place was heaving and carried on like this the whole time we were there The waiting staff were struggling to keep on top of the diners We had a selection of starters, including falafel, dolmes, salad, pickles with a large delicious garlic bread All dishes were good We then had a selection of main dishes, including fish, lamb kebabs, chicken kebabs, lamb chops which came with rice, chips or naan All the meats were well cooked and tasty There was a problem with deserts and we were offered a small plate of baklava to share instead We had 2 bottles of Gavi to go with the meal The price overall was moderate, the food tasty though I wouldnot want to return on a very busy Saturday evening

Our first time ever in Wimbledon - gone yo the theatre for Player Kings performance - and six of us had dinner after the performance on Saturday night. The place was extremely busy. The service, however, was very good. We shared the falafel, dolmen, fatoush salad, khiywr shor and garlic naan to start with. All excellent. We then had the joojeh torch, sea bass, ghafghazi, joojeh and kobideh. Again all excellent. A decent wine list with very good prices.

My friend and I popped in for dinner so that we could catch up. My friend had been before, but it was my first time. The decor was pretty and the seating comfortable and not cramped. The food was delicious, but I urge that you go there truly hungry as the portions are incredibly, incredibly generous indeed!

Visited Diba for the first time as we were going to a matinee in the theatre which is very close by. Friendly greeting when we arrived, and the service was good all the time that we were there. My wife and I had two chargrilled dishes, Kobideh and Joojeh. Before they arrived, we were given some complimentary olives with dips so this was a nice touch. Had some Persian tea while we were waiting. The dishes were really good. I tried both, and my preference was for the chicken dish (Joojeh). Had coffees to finish. Total was £50 including service. Mastercard cards accepted. A good experience and I would go back.

Wow what a disappointment. Worst Persian food I have had and I consider myself someone who eats this food regularly (monthly). First of all, you can tell a lot by the menu and this was a mash-up of Lebanese and Persian which should have been a big red flag. People who try to do everything tend not to be good at anything in particular. The tahdig is a particular dish that tells me a lot and Diva’s tahdig is frankly awful. Instead of the delightful crunch of saffron rice you get a mushy rice pilaf. No flavour either. The soltani is normally a favorite of mine and this combo of grilled meat skewers was insipid and uninspired. The meal had almost no taste and was hard to even identify as Middle Eastern, to say nothing of authentic Persian cuisine. What a shame! Please go to Berenjak or Mohsen or Beluga or any other fine examples of this magnificent food culture.

Welcome addition to the neighbourhood - must point out my review is for the BLANDFORD STREET restaurant which I believe is newly opened. heading somewhere else, paused to look at the menu and walked right in. All the Persian staples here - mainly lamb and chicken in kebab, grill and stew versions. Lots of lovely herbs and vegetable dishes too so one could order a mezze/tapas spread instead of the conventional 'starter, main course, dessert' option. Persians understand sharing. Very generous portions, well cooked and hot!. Finished with a divine faloodeh bastani and memories of Shiraz. Very interesting wine list too with Georgian wines a feature - not often you see qvevri wines on a list in the UK. Service excellent. Will return

Diba Persian Restaurant has a chain of branches all around London, the most popular of which is in Wimbledon, which is rated 4.6 stars out of 1,631 reviews on Google. The Wimbledon branch is located South of London, a 5-minute walk from the metro station. Despite that, it's quite far and out of the way, unless you live in the area or have another reason to be there. The restaurant boasts an inviting ambiance, with beautiful decor and Iranian music playing in the background. The waitress I spoke to was fluent in Farsi, which was a pleasant touch. Speed is something that the service could improve on. Waiting to be seated, ordering, asking for the bill, and paying took forever. I ordered the koobideh, which was served on a big plate. Half of the plate was rice and the other half was salad. The koobideh was long and thick, and there was a big chili and whole grilled tomato too. I wish there was more rice, though, as I found myself rationing the rice during my meal. Digging into the koobideh, it was obvious it had just been barbecued. The meat smelled nice, was very well-cooked, and was juicy. But it lacked in taste. The flavor wasn’t enough to distinguish it from bland koobideh. The rice and salad were okay, though. My order of koobideh costs £13.95. Although on the pricier side, it’s still within the average price range of koobideh in London and around the world. My experience at Diba was generally average. I hope I can come back and have a much better experience in the future.

Diba Persian Marylebone. Poor service and food presentation. Had to wait a very long time for food, others that came in after were served first. Pretentious staff and attitude, maybe theyj should look at the food presentation before trying to act like this. Please see the attached photo, of food served in foil! Never been to a restaurant where food has been served in foil. Do not recommend this Persian restaurant, avoid!

This was an excellent find. We stumbled upon this by chance when walking around in Wimbledon Town centre. The restaurant has a lovely, enchanting feel and decor with lots of traditional middle Eastern elements. However unlike a lot of restaurants that lure you in with a pretty feel, the food and service completely exceeded all expectations. We shared a garlic naan to start with, which was super tasty. We both then had a the lamb shank (baghali pollo mahiche) and lamb neck (lobiya polo gardan) respectively from the traditional specials list. The lamb was as tender as I've ever experienced, the sauces were delicious and the rice and beans were divine. The lamb shank was also delicious from all accounts and came with a pistachio and berry rice. I found the donut dessert a bit sweet, but would probably work if shared by a group. The service was excellent and friendly throughout. I've eaten Persian a few times now, and this place is one of the best! I would 100% go back here and recommend it without any hesitation. The meal worked out to around £30pp. Thanks Diba, we loved it!

This is a review of the DIBA chain and its booking and communication process. These processes are careless of customers and their experience. The issue started when I was looking for a restaurant for a Saturday night meal with family. I booked this via the DIBA website for their restaurant in Marylebone as offered by the dropdown list on the website and subsequently confirmed by email. You can imagine my disappointment and loss of face when I took my party to the address listed to find a building site (a stripped out unit, completely bare). This was followed by the stress of finding a nearby alternative in a busy area on a Saturday night. I emailed DIBA via their website’s “contact us” section , but have received no acknowledgment or response of any kind. So, in summary, the organisation is poor as it allowed a booking for an as yet nonexistent restaurant as well as ignoring an attempt to alert it to the issue and perhaps prevent other customers suffering the same fate. I waited well over a week to post this review to give DIBA a chance to deal with this issue directly.

Llevar.
