The staff service could be better, it is good, but could improve. We travel in a group with people with limited mobility, they do not have a ramp!!!!! It is incredible that they do not have everything necessary for this type of situation, in that sense, the hotel must improve. From then on, good place to stay.

The truth is that this hotel is pretty bad, even if it were a Motel the experience would be more decent. But the Hotel is horrible, the rooms are small and uncomfortable, the beds are super uncomfortable, the bathroom did not serve very well, during the night there were a lot of noises and footsteps in the hallway; The breakfast was the most deplorable, the egg looked like vomit, the ham was old and had something white that was disgusting and the pancakes were very ugly in texture and flavor. The elevator was very slow, they also didn't allow you to leave your suitcase in the lobby because they were supposedly in the way a lot.

I booked two rooms last September 2023 for a group going to the British open golf in July 2024. The hotel cancelled my booking without notice in June .There was no explanation except to say that they overbooked . Alternative accommodation at late notice cost me £300 and we could not change the weekend as flights and golf tickets were paid for . I think the hotel took the opportunity to get a higher price . This is terrible treatment from a chain like the best Western .

Ideal for a holiday in Glasgow, also to get to the center quickly. Good public transport connections, or 30 minutes walk to Buchanan/Agyllstreet. Restaurants and pubs on the parallel street. Highly motivated service. Delicious, varied breakfast, also for vegans. Good food a la carte. Hotel's own parking lot.

This is literally a smelly, sweaty hotel. The rooms opposite the lift stink of bins outside or fast food. We moved to the opposite side, tried to open the window and it was broken. It’s really hot but the hotel have no fans to provide. They have a ridiculous rule about no external food or drinks and threaten to charge you £30 if you break this. Guests shouldn’t have to be anxious about getting a nice coffee delivered or sharing a bottle of wine in the room when you’re having a trip away with friends. I’ve never experienced such nonsense in any other hotel. Seems like a con to make you use the hotel bar and breakfast which are extortionate. Had a pint in the hotel bar, paid £7 and immediately returned it as it tasted like egg. They charge £17 for breakfast but after seeing rats round the bins outside we opted now to eat here! It’s also very noisy all night!

Well located hotel. Big room. The shower wall wasn't completely tight, so you had to be careful that the whole bathroom didn't get wet. Little noise can be heard from outside, but very noisy inside the hotel. You can hear your neighbors very well. The staff were all very friendly. There are parking spaces, but not that many. Breakfast just the bare essentials, not a big selection.

My room was clean and spacious with hardwood floors. It was in the basement but still had plenty of light. I would give it 5 stars but the walls are really thin. I could hear everything my neighbours were doing/saying, which was annoying. The staff was lovely and the hotel is located in a very nice area.

Stayed here the night before an exam in the morning as I commute from far. The location is good, half an hour walk or so from the other end of sauchiehall street. Plenty places to eat around the area. The room was fine, get what you pay for. Nice size TV, tea, coffee, hairdryer. Although it was roasting and you can't control the heating/air con. Bed wasn't very comfy, especially the pillows. Bathroom was good. Had a meal in the restaurant, food was excellent but service quite slow and it wasn't busy. The no food from outside rule is a bit odd, first time I've seen this. I can understand no deliveroo, justeat etc to increase business for the restaurant, but surely something like a banana or biscuit in the room should be fine? Who knows.

A deposit is required for check-in but it will be refunded soon after check-out. There is no heating and it is very cold. There is a private parking lot but the parking spaces are limited. It was a weekend when we checked in, so parking on the roadside was free. There is a supermarket within walking distance and there are many restaurants nearby. You can dine, but there is a notice in the elevator that no outside food is allowed.

Simple hotel (?) that serves the purpose. Excellent location. Depending on who mans the front desk, you could get varied services. Either super strict (basically, you can't do this and you can't do that) or a bit more personal experience. Breakfast staff were generally nice. Room... well, housekeeping isn't the best. Mixed experience for the 4 nights stay. Heating is mysterious. Too cold or too warm, and no, you can't control the temperature. Shower felt cramped and water leaked to bathroom floor. Toilet wad also a bit mysterious, as it worked at times, and didn't at other times. Location was great, near by University of Glasgow, where u needed to be, and great restaurants near by. It's no Hilton or Marriott.

The room is not very convenient, you have to walk through a room like storage and the housekeeper's office outside. The view is very bad. Looking out, there are bricks for construction outside, there is a cement wall that doesn't look good, the breakfast is not delicious, staff like as Chinese(1man) and Scottish(1woman) not friendly I regretted the money I paid because I felt it was not worth the vacation.

What a great hotel right close to the Hydro and the West End. Lots of pubs and restaurants in the area. Gabriel the concierge was so helpful and very friendly. Robin the owner even helped park our car. The room was specious and clean. I would definitely recommend the vegetable curry with rice and nan for just over £10. Overall, a fantastic experience what a wonderful hotel.

I recently stayed at a hotel on the west side of Glasgow, conveniently located near the university and the SSE Hydro. I was value for the price given. The breakfast offered provided a great start to each day of my stay. The accommodations were lovely and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. One of the standout aspects of my experience was the approachable and friendly staff. They were always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed during my stay. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this hotel and would definitely choose to stay here again on future visits to Glasgow. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay on the west side of the city. Parking and wifi was free

My partner took me to the Devoncove as part of a Christmas/ Birthday treat which I was very excited about. Unfortunately our stay wasn't up to what we expected. The rooms were very clean and it is situated in a brilliant area in Glasgow. We unfortunately had noisy neighbours which was frustrating. Our experience allowed us to observe that some staff seemed to be ran of their feet compared to others who appeared to observe the chaos. Especially during check in and dining. However more shockingly, if you bring any food or drink into the room which wasnt from the restaurant there was a £30 fine. This was never disclosed on the website we booked through or at check in. We did eat at the restaurant which was an unpleasant experience. The food was vile. My partners dish was clearly burnt and was turned over to appear cooked and my own was so oily that I only ate a few bites. Both myself and partner felt ill after eating at the restaurant. The poor waiter who served us seemed completely unknowledgable about the drinks and food on the menu (we assumed a new start) and was on their own. Overall not the best experience/ service and won't be back.

The location is good~^ I feel bad that they are so strict about what guests eat in their rooms. For one thing, I don't like the check-in process of having people read the text and sign it. You can hear a lot of noise between rooms, so much so that you have to hold your breath. I can hear hallway sounds better. The parking lot is in the back, but it is almost full, so street parking is possible until 8 a.m. the next day.

started with lack of parking at the hotel but understandably as busy weekend at the Hydro concert hall. Staff not a clue to parking (thank goodness a lovely couple helped me and found I had free parking in 3 hours). Stood in checkin for 20 mins as very busy again no issue...yet! Then my turn, Im English I travelled a lot in my career and in Scotland and NEVER EVER been asked for photo ID. I checked the 'rules' and still nothing changed as you DO NOT need photo ID. Told to ring my kids and ask them to take a pic of my ID , My kids were in London the other in Bali, so told well we can't check you in and the whole of Glasgow booked up. Also prepaid so no refund!!! Then asked for the manager and told well if you authorise £100 on your CC we may be able to check you in BUT need to take a pic of your CC front and back! By this time I said do what you have to do but feeling very uneasy my credit card details are freely available. Then at 3.40 checkin told ' go check your room but don't think it's been cleaned yet. Went to our concert and looking forward to a drink at the bar (10.30pm) and the bar is closed! Told there is a pub down the road. Then got back to the room OMG it was absolutely freezing , my friend an I in single beds shivering and scared to fall out of bed as neither slept in a single bed since we was kids. The room was tiny the bathroom way too small. Finally got up at 5 waiting for breakfast to find it was cheap horrid bread, options were ok for a continental breakfast but no service. Would we go back no no no, oh and if you needed to get out in an emergency try find the stairs, not impressed at all.

HELLO I stayed in this hotel last week for a concert in the Hydro Arena , the location is great and it is a short walk from the arena and the Exabition train center. The area it surrounds is lovely there are a fair few restaurants and bars and shops. we went to the pizza restaurant and it did not disappoint. The train from Glasgow central was not long or expensive on the day the train was 1.25 . The hotel was nice and snazzy. But the service was not the best we had to wait for a long time to get into our room but I understand it was check in time and lots of people were there for the concert. Then you have to leave a £100 refundable deposit buy card on the day, you have to use your real card you cannot tap. which is a pain in the arse as most people dont carry card any more. I did not bring my card so my friend had to leave her bank details. the hotel was amazing for the price and most people dont have a spare £100. Other than that they room was amazing for the price, the bathroom was a bit rundown and could get re done but im not complaining. I would defo stay there again. Just be ready for the £100 pound deposit !!

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay as I watched a concert at OVO Hydro. Location was good and just about 15mins walk to arena. Room was clean but the lift was not working when I stayed there. The heating is also timed, only opened I think at around 4PM and when I came home around 11PM-ish, it was not working again until the following day. Showering at around 5AM was uncomfortable because although there was hot water, the heating was not working. Otherwise, the room served its purpose for a short overnight stay if you’re attending an event at OVO Hydro.

I stayed here as it was super close to the OVO Hydro Arena (15 min walk and very easy to get to). For the price I paid for the room, I cannot fault anything! There was the odd area, mainly in the bathroom which needed sorting however, the room itself was make up lovely and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing I would comment on would be the £100 pre auth when you check in. This is for damage or stained linen. I was so conscious of marking any linen that I put the pillow in a T-shirt to ensure no makeup or marks were left even after showing and wiping it all off! Overall a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend for anyone going to the OVO
