Tartan Fish and Chips in Glasgow City

Ordered on uber, they missed my partners supper out of our order, he phoned them and they said they would get it sent over. This was at 7pm it's now 10pm they won't answer the phone and my partner is still waiting on his dinner this is an absolute joke do not use this place they are ridiculous!

Bought king rib supper at 12 noon , Omg chips disgusting ,hard, dry cold ,,,they hadn't been rinsed with cold water to get rid of starch,they tasted so bad ,king riib even the batter was so undercooked it was like paste

Absolutely shocking god knows how this place is still open, tired it more than once thinking it was a one off bad experience, nope it’s there set standard which is pretty low, the classic over priced drinks of juice they buy from multi packs and over charge you, and to add insult it’s not even cold. The standard of food is cheap and nasty, lunch time and dinner they never have anything ready, this is not cause it’s busy, they told me three self they don’t put anything on unless it’s ordered ? So if your on lunch break from work, these guys don’t care, food was under cooked and unable to eat, I phoned to complain saying I can bring it back to show them, so they knew I be as telling truth, and thought they would want to sort it out to show they care, and I was told to F off, if you care about your health don’t eat undercooked food from here and go somewhere good.

Sublime. Top 5 in the UK no cap. Only neg was the Polis woman investigating the stabbing that had happened 20 minutes ago and I had to stand outside because I was stinking of the merch.

The food was packaged well so arrived still hot however the pepperoni pizza was far too greasy, I couldn’t even eat it. The pepperoni being placed underneath the cheese made the grease soak through the base and meant the pepperoni wasn’t cooked and was chewy instead of crispy. I would recommend putting it on top of the cheese for next time.

In Scotland for a visit, I was lucky this place was just across the street. The food was tasty, black pudding and fries were good as well as the pizza. But what made it stand out was the pleasent service. Thanks for the friendly service.

1.00 pm in the afternoon ,i went in for chips expecting freshly made chips , well i think i got last nights bye the taste and texture of them , and for the server he looks like he has lost a fiver ....just a smile and a hi ya would be enough ....would not go near again ....and to think this place used to be ok aswell ....VERY POOR QUALITY AND SERVICE!

Prices are heavily up, the girl who supposed to serve you, chatting with her pal, no one has mask or gloves on and if you're lucky, you can meet 50 schoolies cramed in the 2 square meter shop floor...I've visited twice, first and the last...

Popped in for a quick snack. The gentleman behind the counter had his Face mask on his chin and his fingers resting on his lips. As I walked in the door, he quickly pulled his face mask over his nose and mouth. I asked for a roll and chips, fully expecting him to wash his hands before touching any food after touching both his face and mask. He didn't wash his hands and picked up a roll and prepared my food. This level of hygiene is not acceptable any time never mind during a global pandemic. Needless to say I won't be back.

Express delivery. Ordered around 14.30 got delivered by 15.00. As always tasty food for good price. Definitely recommend and will be back

We were at The Premier Inn Quayside.... opposite The Scottish Hydro Concert Hall....we were too late to get a table at the hotel.... We used the JUST EAT APP to order Fish and Chips and a Meat Feast Pizza. The PIzza was fantastic and the wife said the Fish and Chips were great too.... good stuff guys..... if your in the hotel give them a bell.... good food 👍👏👏

Worst chippy I’ve ever had. Oil tastes old, fish batter was white it was so under cooked. Chips were dry and oily at the same time. We’ll never use again!

Placed order on sunday 26th July 2019 OMG!!!!!...... worst ever, chips had a plastic taste, fish that is supposed golden brown and crispy was a pale yellow colour🤬no salt an vinegar either never order from here again, delivery guy even said they rushed your order because of the time, that's my third order,definitely the worst 🤮🤢😷

Just bought a ‘king chicken tikka kebab’ from tartan and it turns out all you get is a nan bread with scraps of burnt chicken. Worst I’ve had 🤢😡 TOTAL RIP OFF !!

Poor very very poor fish was poor chips were poor and the worst part was the customer service skills from the bloke behind the counter at lunchtime on Tuesday 14th of may 2019 he was more interested in talking to his pals on the street than serving anyone after I got my food he through the change onto the counter without so much as a thank you or anything. Will never use again felt like I wasnt wanted in the place.

Ordered food order was minus fish supper, other food freezing cold, complained to be told that the full order was sent which was not the case, no apology no replacement no refund just abuse for asking where my food was, would stay clear of this place and told to shut up with the delivery driver who I thought was an oompah loompah from wonkas choccie factory nit amused and will never be using this service again.

ordered on uber eats a few times. the food is average to above average but they never get my order right. They will pack the wrong sauce or not salt it or give me the wrong drink entirely. Go in person and its fine but never order delivery from here.

WORST CHIP SHOP EVER! Ordered from this place on just eat and definitely won't be going back. Ordered a kids chicken strips meal, the chicken was far to spicy for my girlfriend to eat never mind a child. Also ordered chips and a fritter they were absolutely rock solid and couldn't eat them. All of the food went straight into the bin after 2 bites. Staff at the chip shop were so rude, didn't even so much as say "hi" when we walked in. We god handed our order without 2 words been spoken. another staff member was kneeling outside the shop with a cigarette hanging out his mouth right at the shop door.

My husband and i waited over an hiur and a half first call oh its a new driver will be there soon. Second call oh new driver and its leaving now. Thirty minutes later new driver leaving the shop now emmm you said that thirty minutes ago. Never ordering again and i bet its cold when or if it gets here.

Ordered through uber eats, wish I'd looked at other reviews first! Pizza crunch was disgusting, seemed like the cheapest pizza from a supermarket and was really soggy and greasey, I couldnt finish any of the food and felt ill afterwards. Waste of money.

If I could leave no stars i would. So, ordered from this place many times, it was never very good but it was cheap as chips, exscuae the pun! However. This one evening, i ordered theough just eat. Its only a two mintute walk. Im on elizabeth street and tartan chipps is just up the road but i was in pain so didnt feel like walking. Placed the order through just eat. They added 40 minutes onto the delivery time, which seemed a bit mad to me seen as it would take me 5 minutes to walk. Anyway, i had giests round so the time passed quickly. Then it was 30 minutes late on top the the extra 40 minutes, i kept calling and calling and they kepy saying it was on its way. It eventually arrived. They forgot the juice, forgot the cheese on the two cheesy chips (how stupid can you actually be..) everything was cold, they gave me a scotch pie instead of a steak pie, my smoked sausage supper was overcooked. We phoned them up to ask for a redelivery due to such poor quality. Then this is where it got reaply bad. The qoman that answered was so unbelievably rude and started telling us we were lying and wrong and ahe cooked it heraelf then ten minutes later, started telling us she didnt cook it. Ahe proceeded with this arrogant attitude qhich i tthough was simply ridiculous because at the end of the day, i paid for it. All i wanted was what i asked for. They eventually redelivered it. Will never, ever order from here again. Lost 4 different customwrs from that stunt. Also similar experiences have happened before but nothing this bad.

The worst ever. Shame, this used to be a good chippy with great chips. Thought id treat myself to chips as i was passing. When i opened them at home what i saw can only be described as a 3rd generation re-heat.....brown....tough....rubbery. If i hadn't driven home I.d have take them back and threw them about the doore faced nuckle dragger that served me!!! Obvo happy at his work.......NOT!!! Wont be back.

RANK*********** Place is disgusting !! Ordered 2 chicken nugget meals one with cheese on chips and first thing was that the cheese was solid and cold !! The chicken nuggets were cold and had a wet/rubber feeling to them also !! Oh and the main problem ... The curry and gravy "sauce" ,honestly there was big lumps of un-mixed curry sauce which looked like lumps of fat and was absolutely rank ! This gravy sauce was the exact same and don't forget was cold !! Can honestly say I'll not be back and after all that it cost me £17 for 2chicken nugget meals + cheese on one and 2 sauces !! £17!! Honestly RIP OFFF Absolutely rank

The menu is cheaper during lunch times and the chips are usually nicer at that time also. Other than that it's a pretty solid take away.

I would rate 2.5 however I don't feel 3 stars are representative. Batter on both items wasn't crispy which was disappointing for a pizza "crunch". Chips are reasonable, quite average. Perhaps I'll try in again a little earlier in the evening and the freshly fried stuff will be better.
