We ordered two nibbles to start our evening meal, followed by two starters and two main courses. After waiting 30 minutes, what arrived wasn’t even what we ordered. Frustrated, we debated our options and ultimately decided to leave and go elsewhere. The service was completely amateurish—how can you get such a simple order so wrong and keep customers waiting so long? We had also ordered two drinks when we were seated (£16 for a pint of lager and a vodka & Coke), and they still attempted to charge us despite the poor experience. After a lengthy debate, they reluctantly agreed to waive the cost as an apology, but there was no sincerity or acknowledgment of their mistakes. This was supposed to be a relaxing evening out with my wife, but instead, we ended up ordering Domino’s and eating it in our room. I’ll never return, and it’s clear from other reviews that poor service is a recurring issue here. The customer service urgently needs improvement.

Having read the reviews I was expecting something terrible. Not at all. All the staff were lovely. I thought the breakfast was well above average for that type of buffet. The bacon, haggis and black pudding were great quality, and ever the presentation had been done nicely (bacon all lined up, not just thrown in) A good selection of both hot and cold food. Honestly, what I had does not tie up with the poor reviews I read. Maybe the hotel made changes, or maybe those were the types of people who like to find fault and moan, who knows. But I would say it was good. Would I come here and spend my own money on breakfast if I wasn't staying, no. But I would never choose to eat in a hotel restaurant! For hotel breakfast. It was great.

Was hesitant to try the food because of poor reviews in the past, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found the food to be a good balance of convenience and quality, especially if you desire to eat multiple plates of food in the morning. The chef, Vivienne, makes wonderful omelettes.

Very average to sub-par food for above average price. Never experienced parmesan fries like them a few tepid fries with huge chucks of parmesan dropped on top. Positive the dining area appeared clean.

The food is super good, the meat is just right. I ordered a side of rice, which I had better not have ordered but I understand that in Glasgow it is not common to eat it. Josue's excellent treatment made our lunch more than pleasant.

Don’t recognise the comments made by previous reviewers-Were they in the same restaurant?! Mega service for me-Greg even made me a Margarita that wasn’t on the cocktail menu! Beth’s food preparation and presentation was worthy of the West End! Get yourself down here, you won’t regret it!

Had breakfast here whilst staying at the Marriott. Was not very impressed and the breakfast was not great. Poor selection of items for the continental breakfast. The cooked breakfast was ok, but not brilliant. No square sausage! Coffee was decent enough.

Just horrible. Please take your business elsewhere…. Burger wasn’t beef. It was a veggie burger! 3 of us at our table ordered beef and got veggie. Steak fries were under cooked, drinks weren’t refilled, one of our party got his meal after the rest of us were done eating what we could. (All half eaten because they were so bad) overall waste of 80 pounds.

The service was average considering the restaurant was in the Marriott. The steak was even worse than the service. I ordered the medium rare Sirloin steak, and the steak I received was medium/well done. The meat was tough. Lacks atmosphere and a bit slow for the service.

Does u sell any goat, I think it’s a very nice delicacy meat would be great with a side of rice! Excellent atmosphere would totally recommend, fab food and staff! Q-Do you do parties? Thank you! Thumbs up from me!XDDD

Big barn of a place, so it was a bit on the cool side, but worth a visit for their great selection of beers and ales.

We had fish and chips. Had them a few times over the years and they were lovely. Today, horrible. Batter was brown and hard, fish was very dry and hard. Horrible. Waitress said it was previously cooked and then warmed up. She offered us another one and it was a lot different, batter was golden and fish was quite tasty. However, we won't go.back again as we were looking forward to.it. My partner is 83 and I am 78 and we were very upset by this. Will not be back.
