Devitos in Sunderland

Excellent pizza prepared quickly for takeaway. My wife and I shared a 14 inch pizza and had it made half and half with the toppings we wanted. It was hot and tasty and the toppings were so thick we couldn’t finish the pizza entirely. Would definitely go back. Less than £11 for dinner for two. Brilliant.

Absolutely disgraceful the delivery from the Silksworth one !!! Waited over 2 and a half hours and it’s only 10 minutes away ! … everyone was shattered by the time it came . Was cold .

Absolutely shocking customer service food cold and wrong order told my wife was at fault because she swore on the phone had lots of issues over the the years with orders but stuck with them as the food was good but not now total poor quality service food always late and cold the last few times been orderd time for a new take away after years of service

It's the Silksworth one not over here as they got nowhere to review over 2 hours for 2 wraps absolutely terrible service bar the young lass who took the phone call she was full of apologies but manager isn't at all bothered won't be going again that's for sure!!!

The food was stone cold. Spent 30 pound. The delivery driver was parked over the road from our house arguing on phone for around 30 mins. I rang and complained he said he'd take 10% off next order. I told him.... The manager I wouldn't be ordering again..... Looks like I was right. SEABURN CHINESE IS UNREAL HOT AND ON TIME. EVERYTIME

This was the worst kebab I have had absolutely shocking tasteless lukewarm meat how this place is still in business is beyond me

We arrived late this evening and they had just closed. When I asked if there was anywhere that might be open as I was starving, the lovely man that talked to us offered to make us pizza. They didn't have to do anything, but he was so nice and knew that we wouldn't have tea otherwise. The pizza was gorgeous, so generous with the toppings. The service was amazing, and we can not thank them enough for being so kind and saving the day. Thanks so much.

First time ordering from Devitos, Silksworth and it will be the last. Food was ordered at 6.30pm and food didn’t arrive until 8.55pm with only half the order. The delivery driver was very impolite and refused to refund for the missing part of the meal. Absolutely terrible service.

Cold pizza and food had to wait 3 hours and the food had hair in. Also the customer service wasn't particularly good

Absolute rubbish best place for this food was the bin Really poor quality food with no seasoning or sauce. Had a vegi burger said it comes with lettuce and mayo, did not have anything was dry and the burger bun was hard. Partner had a American burger with cheese but no cheese, chips was cold and old. The only way this place can make money is staying open late and cooking for drunk people. Would not eat at devitos if it was free, save your money and go a somewhere else.

The food is actually nice but the service is terrible. It’s totally unacceptable to allow people to order via their website, take their money and then make them wait 2 hours and 15 minutes for their food to arrive. I rang after 1 hour 30 mins and was told my order was on its way and would be 10 minutes. 30 mins later it still hadn’t arrived so I rang again only to be told, “this time your order has definitely gone out and it’s on its way”. Why was I told it was on its way 30 mins ago if it wasn’t??? The girl on the phone told me “it’s because we’re really busy on a Saturday night”. I don’t have a problem with a long wait time but let people know before taking their money and let them decide. A take away is supposed to be a treat on a Saturday night, it’s not supposed to ruin it. Look at the reviews before ordering, I wish we had. Nice food but disgraceful customer service which I can’t abide.

Been waiting over hour and a half for food now and still not here. Should have some sort of message and rang twice and still not here. Don't order from here if your hungry !!

Ordered from the one at Silksworth- same owner and some staff. Sent the wrong order after waiting 25 mins over the time which was 1hr 15mins anyway. Wouldn’t send new one, went out of the way to try and tell me to pick the wrong bits out of pizza etc. Said they would send half a new pizza. Ringing back and forth. Hear them say they would “hockle on it “ Ridiculous. Rang back asked for a refund as was worried about the comment.. and after another 30 mins. Told everything has to be returned as it was even after they said to pick bits out of pizza. 20 Mins wait for refund. Rang up and said 5 mins. Sent driver out with another order! What a joke.

Food is nice, however waited 2 hours for it!!!! Thought it might be a one off, ordered again the following week, same again!😡Won’t be going there for our takeaway again

We tend to get a take away from here when we're in the area. Online odering is so easy. Collection super fast staff are lovely and food is delicious.

Ordered two kebab boxes £28.50 ,content is now approx two thirds of what it used to be,Advertised "spend over £22 and get a free 12" pizza with 3 toppings"I can see note on Just Eat to Devitos saying "Free pizza pepperoni,please"I got a free 10" Garlic bread,Regular customer for last two years,Bye,Bye Devito's wont be ordering again,plenty of other shops out there ...... :(

Ordered a box meal kebab meat rubbish and chicken not very good,don't think I will order from here again or pass number on to friends and family

Received food eventually, was sent wrong food, when called up to query, they were very unhelpful, I had order confirmation of what I ordered but they said it was different on there end & were generally Rude. Wouldn’t recommend as basically called liar and when said I’m really unhappy and won’t be ordering again, I just got a sarky ok no problem

Large kebab and chips and two pitta breads enough to fill anyone.Also excellent range of pizzas to satisy all tastes

Having been in Devitos before and had tasty pizzas, I was with a friend who is gluten free and asked the girl serving who did not have a clue what gluten free was so asked the gentleman doing the pizza bases, who said they did not do gluten free so decided to order a chicken wrap and potato wedges, I was asked if i would like chips with the warp, when i got home i thought i had not got my wedges so phoned to ask why, I was informed what i thought were chips were in fact were the wedges ( made from the smallest potato's) they were just chips, I was informed the chips were in the wrap (should have been with the wrap) next to the driest piece of chicken you could cobble your shoe with, in all it was not good and after two bites it went in the bin. will not be recommending them

Lovely food if they got the order right. We've used Devitos for about 4 years and the food is lovely. We ordered a sweet chilli chicken pizza tonight (as we have for 4 years) and they sent a plain chicken one. We rang them to be told the sweet chilli sauce was on the base...now I'm very familiar with this pizza and know where its meant to be. There was no onions, sauce or peppers either. Very disappointing. Delivery guy is lovely and very apologetic.Can clearly see the difference in the pizzas... top one is what it should be!

I have to say the pizzas here are first class as well as the "chips" which are much improved . The place is well run and has a great menu. The service is very quick and can deliver. But its the tasty pizzas that keeps me coming back. 10/10 lovely.

We are staying in the area again and fancied a pizza or two and going on the reviews we gave it a go.

My first visit to Sunderland our host at the bed and breakfast recommended Devitos we were not disappointed

Service is good, they do diluver and the drivers are always pleasant. The pizas are lovely. The family mix deals they do are great value for money. My favourite piza shop.

popped in for a kebab and chose an extra large one to share between two of us...it was very LARGE...we created good portions in the pitta breads and had enough of everything to have the following night with pitta bead we bought separately...all for £5.90...we will certainly call again when next staying in roker

One of the best kebabs in the area plus they deliver the only thing that i think lets it down is frozen chips put a lot of people like them so who am i to complain

Nice enough place with nice food. Some good deals on aswell. The garlic bread was nice and chicken was cooked well, all in all a decent takeaway restaurant.

Visited in December while on a return visit to see family in Sunderland, having heard good things about this place.

My father and I ordered from this pizzeria whilst staying with my grandmother because, let's face it - Domino's is terrible, and she had heard good things about this one from friends and neighbours. It is slightly difficult to find when going to collect, though we got there in the end after turning the wrong way a few times - it is located down a series of small alleyways in a residential area away from main roads, and neither the Tomtom server nor the Google Maps server recognised it as a business entity at that point.

never normally bother but had to say something, ordered an extra pitta bread, I know on a small amount of money but is now regular, they seem to hope people don't complain, I collected so by the time I got home it was not there, used to be ok but getting worse!!!!!!

My hubby had a chilli burger and chips, well presented the menu offers a lot of choice, very clean and well presented.

Good food and cooked fresh. The chicken parmesan and pizzas are great! Everything is cooked to order and they also deliver.

Had to give this order a 1 just to submit . Not worthy of the one star! Ordered a delivery which took one hour 45 for a pizza and cheese and chips. Clearly specified on the website no mushrooms as they do not agree with me. When it eventually arrived it came with mushrooms. I contacted the shop and the staff told me they had recieved my request however they hadn't wrote it on my order slip. I got told a new one would be sent in 20 mins taking it to 2 hours 5 and staff were reluctant at first to replace full order. Never again will I be ordering from here.

Ordered a take away and it was delivered within 20 minutes although I was told it would be roughly 40 Food was delicious and still hot.

Ordered food to collect, 2 items were completely wrong so we rang and asked them to deliver which took another hour to come, by that time I would rather have my money back. We used to go there regularly but now that it's under new management it's been disappointing.

Love this handy pizza place. the pizzas are very tasty and good value for money it's very popular now, and I'm not surprised. They do a wide range of food and it's all good stuff. 10/10
