stars I buy some plain naan from deai khana was rubbish, not cook from back side and quality was very poor. Sadly through in bin.

Popped in for takeout, as travelling back from Hudds to Leeds with kids.. l have been coming here, as a treat, for over 30 years now? A proper hidden gem, still got the original chef, Pav, ordered the Large chicken masalas and garlic naans for lads, l had a medium karahi? With green pepper and a tomato, all done to Asian taste with green chilli in mine.. The serving guy was very polite and respectful, came over to help open the door for me even! 3 curries , 2 naan and 2 chappatti, 3 waters and should have had 2 boiled rice ( they do not do pilau) , unfortunately chef forgot the rice! Was £32 very good value indeed! I microwaved some rice at home for lads! Not an issue, l obviously didn’t get charged for it! Will be back as soon as we can Prices had gone up £2 due to cost of living, still the best flavour and curry and value in Bradford! 5 star, no frills, Best curry we have ever tasted from this backstreet Gem 💎

The chicken donner kebab from here is huge and tasty. Only advice I would give is to maybe make things a little cleaner inside. They have recently refurbished so the interior may be better.

This is a fantastic place for Asian food. The chicken masala is to die for and the prices are extremely reasonable

When we were kids our Dad used to bring us to Bradford once every couple of months for a good old fashioned curry. It was usually in a very non descript establishment with a 'Chaachi ji' (Uncle from the old country) cooking in the back. Bearing in mind in the 70's Bradford there was none of the famous upmarket eateries you see now like Mumtaz/Akbars/Aagrah etc. In those days most of the curry joints were very casual, but that was the thing....it was all about the food and not the place it self. The food was amazing. Recently I was coming down Leeds Road and decided to stop and check out this place (Desi Khana), and it is basically a takeaway with 4 tables, one of which I managed to get. I ordered a traditional Lamb Haandi on the bone, it came with 2 Tandoori Rotis, for that 20 minutes or so of eating it took me back in time to the 70's and the Chaachi ji style cooking, it was well cooked lamb in a lovely sauce with just the right amount of spicing, I loved every mouthfull!!!!! with a bottle of water the whole thing came to just £6.00. Value for money or what!!!. I'm thinking about now and look forward to the next visit.
