Desi Curry Palace Halal Takeaway in Glasgow City

I’m a long standing customer of over 8 years and love Desi’s,however, tonight the Chicken chaat which is normally very tasty was very dry and not as flavoursome along with the vegetable pakora which was dry and dark as it if had been over cooked. Hope going forward it is better as this standard is not the usual from this eatery.

This was probably the worst donner kebab I’ve ever had in my life. It looked, smelled and tasted like complete 💩 these guys are literal frauds for even charging for what was delivered to me because it wasn’t edible but luckily I’ve been refunded by just eat after showing them the garbage that was delivered to my doorstep. Never again!!!

Desi's is great - but I wish it was more consistent. If I order a curry that says it has mushrooms, it doesn't seem like too much to ask for it to actually have some mushroom in it - instead, it sometimes (like tonight) has no mushrooms, but loads of green peppers. It is supposed to have no green peppers. Likewise, why ask if I want onions with my donner, if you are not going to put onions on the donner? The food is good, the service is good, but the reliability of getting what you actually order could be improved.

The food was great although sadly they didn't make the nan crispy as per special request.

Brilliant Chicken Biriyani, loved the sauce.

Delicious food - nice pakora, fresh dips, fresh and tasty nan bread and mouthwatering slow cooked lamb in bhuna sauce. Crispy, nicely cooked poppodoms and sweet, flavorful korma with tasty chicken breast. Perfect fluffy rice. Great local gem.

●Ordered biryani once. It was just gone in bin.Very bad taste and quality wise vv poor. It was really a waste of money. I think kept for too many days. ●Always put small chicken Patti in big burger 🍔 not of standard size. Small like kid's burger size. Food authorities should check them regularly as its not safe to sell stinking food.

The seekh kebab on Naan with chilli sauce was amazing. The 12" munchi box was enough to feed 3 people. It's good to see a takeaway that provides both quantity and quality. The service was also 5 star. I can't recommend Desi Curry Palace enough. Amazing.

Was visiting Glasgow at night and just managed to catch this place before it shut. Quite a busy wee takeaway and ordered a chicken tikka nan kebab and was significantly cheaper than other establishments that I normally go to outwith glasgow. I was surprised at how great the kebab was considering the price points in this place. The food was amazing and exactly what I needed. Small takeaways/carryouts can be ery unpredictable and sometimes its always a nerve wracking moment as you never know wether its going to be worth it or not. In this case this place definitely lives up to its standard and beyond. Considering the prices the food was exceptional I couldn't help but think why this place was so reasonably priced compared to other alternatives considering all of them pay costs etc. Worth a shot and amazing fast food place and definitely great food so highly recommend.

Donner meat wasn’t good. Didn’t try owt else

My second bad experience with this place. The first time I got a pizza which was dripping with oil and I just couldnt eat more than a few slices of without feeling sick. Second time was the first time I had saag paneer which i didnt like. Everything was extremely oily in a bad way. I dont mind eating oily food sometimes but this was just extreme and nothing was fresh. I feel like i wasted my money twice, so dont make the same mistake. Unless you want to clog up your arteries !

Got a munchie box put cheese all over it also paid £5 for chicken pakora and was only 6 pieces even though it also came with box phoned and guy said be another 30-60 mins for correct order told them to forget it as waited over an hour already

It arrived in bits and pieces. The boxes all squashed and the food as well inside. Couldn't identify any of it hardly!

Pakora was soggy but ok taste, naan was soggy but ok, tiny tub of spiced onion is really bad service. Currys were tasty though. All in all ok, if the quality was improved with the rest of the meal to the standard of the curry would be great.

Its the best restaurant i have ever went in Glasgow.

Both kebabs came with everything on it after specifically asking for 1 to be plain and the other with only sauce. Poor customer service as well as lack of communication from shops end!

Realy Good and always fresh food

This was take out, but ordered online for pick-up. This used to be my favourite Indian in all of Glasgow. It no longer is. It was not well falvoured and he appetizers were greasy and doughy and smaller than they used to be. I think that I will not eat there again unfortunately because it was that disappointing.

Food is good. Only thing is I wish they’d put their bottles of juice in the fridge as they are always warm.

Delivery driver was very helpful and fast. Can't ask for anything more.

This was ny first order from Desi Curry Palace. The food was delicious and it arrived super early! Good sized portions. I got the meal for one and chose lamb moon lite curry. Delicious and not too hot. Full of different spices and the lamb was soooo tender! Great price too. I will definitely be ordering from here again

Great food - I just wish they could deliver a complete order. Of my last 3 orders, all 3 have been missing something. They are always apologetic, and happy to deliver the missing items - but I'd prefer to get it all at once, and not have to chase :P Here's hoping they'll work out where the problem is, and fix it.

Was looking forward to a donner kebab. It was sooo salty, I ate some of it because I was starving. Big mistake, it made me unwell. Avoid this place!

So I ordered a peshawari nan and kashmir korma the korma was spot on no complaints whatsoever. turning to the nan, nan was lovely however it was a little to sweet now I know peshawari nans are sweet however this one was too sweet. Excellent size no complaints there was little over done but again to an edible standard Delivery was longer than expected however food did arrive hot 🔥 so again no complaints Chicken was fresh lovely 😍

I received my order surprisingly very fast. The food was cold and poorly cooked. The restaurant also never delivered a large mixed tango ice blast which I had ordered. I tried calling the restaurant they answered and hung up I tried many times after that however no one answered my call.
