The best Indian I’ve been to in ages, lovely staff, amazing food, if I could order this food for delivery to where I live, I would every week!

The restaurant is in a fairly nondescript area - surrounded by light industry - but the food I had was excellent. The naan in particular was fantastic, but the garlic mushroom bhaji was better. Atmosphere early in the evening was so-so, but the service is friendly. Would recommend.

It might be situated a little outside, but the food is delicious and the staff is lovely! It's definitely worth a visit :)

A hidden gem in the Maylands industrial estate. Superb food and wonderful warm staff. Have never been disappointed. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice food but watch what you order. Very expensive even on the 'deal' night. Now I think £7 a pint is not only unfair but greedy. That said, very nice - can recommend the Tandoori Chicken

Located in an industrial estate. But don't let that put you off. Food and staff are great. Interior is nicely done. Wide selection with good prices, especially if to take the special deal £16 for starter, main, side and rice/nan. Open Mondays when several other places are closed. We had a great meal, and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

We were in the area and found this restaurant via google Maps. I would definitely recommend the onion bhaji, super fresh and tasty. Very friendly service too.

This in my opinion is the No.1 restaurant in Hemel Hempstead. The quality of food is equal to the attention to detail and service is just Quality. We really doing enjoy the whole evenings experience there.

From outside it is not something that you want to dine in but the food was good and I was satisfied.

Great welcome, amazing service and the food was out of this world. Probably the best king prawn jalfrezi I've had, the prawns were perfect and a nice amount of spice. Everything else great too. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful and the poppadoms were crunchy - A lovely dinner all round!

We've just moved to the area & were delighted to find this hidden gem.. Friendly staff followed by great food.. Poppadoms we're nice & fresh with four decent accompaniments. I had a Jalfrezy & it was tasty with a nice amount of chili peppers to it.. Will definitely use again..

Best Indian for miles. I drive for 45 minutes to meet a friend and eat here regularly. (Almost) all other Indian restaurants I try fail to beat the food quality, flavour intensity, and service provided at Deshi Spice. Dead easy parking in the evenings (when neighbouring units are closed for business) too! Keep it up guys!

Difficult to fault this Indian Restaurant. We were part of a party of 12 guests. So it's understandable that from time of ordering, expect longer than usual for the meal to arrive. What a superb meal, and everyone seemed as happy as me. Value for money was exception. At £16.00 for most combinations from the A La Carte. Starter, Main Course, Side vegetables and Nann Bread. So many choices of each course and more Nann Bread choices than I've ever seen before This Restaurant is situated on Mark Road and although this is the Heart of the Industrial Estate, don't be put off. Street parking at night is straightforward. I can't believe Mark Road has changed so little since I first started work there at the age of 15 in 1960. Except you've now got an excellent Indian Restaurant at your disposal.

5 of us Went to the Deshi tonight as we are here on business for the next 2 weeks and will definitely return before we go home. I ordered delivery from this restaurant, but the food was terrible. The naan was soggy, the aloo chaat was unpleasant, and while the curry was edible, I couldn't enjoy it because the naan was inedible.

My partner and I both dined here during the curry night promotion (£15pp for a starter, main, side and rice or naan). The food quality is impeccable, so good and so fresh. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant. Both Dine In and Takeaway options both taste great.

The food is first class and the staff attentive and friendly

6 of us turned up on what was a busy night with all tables filled. The service was prompt and polite. The food was excellent. And the Monday to Thursday offer for £14 doesn't disappoint. They don't skimp on the portion sizes at all. They are definitely worth a visit 👍🍻

We were recommended Deshi Spice by a lovely bar attendant at Holiday Inn and it did not disappoint! The service and more importantly the food was delicious. The staff made you feel like family.

We found this place, randomly while in this industrial area. We felt welcome, at home, pleasant atmosphere with some regulars, some lone diners after work, a family...the food was freshly cooked, generous portions and good price. We'll come back or order a delivery👌🏻

We have been in the area for a year and had the odd takeaway from here in that time. Always soooo friendly and delicious. We decided to book a saturday evening and were not disappointed. The welcome was a friendly one, the waiter (I shamefully, didn’t get his name) was very friendly and remembered me from take away orders (not sure if that’s a good thing!) I asked about 2 certain dishes on the specials menu and he explained them to me, we had those and they were delicious Will definitely be going back soon

In the middle of nowhere (after 17) is this superb little gem of a restaurant placed. Lovely staff who served us very well and also gave us some good laughs.

Absolutely lovely food. We had the Sunday to Thursday meal offer £14.95 for a starter, main, side and either a rice or naan. There were two of us so we split the rice and naan between us. Perfect. The chicken tikka jalfrezi was excellent and the aloo gobi was really tasty too. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and modern. One very small criticism is that they don't have draught beer. Although the large bottle of Cobra I had was nice and cold and good value at £5.95. I'm quite fussy about where I eat and I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were regulars here and it was our go to takeaway but we ordered a delivery on 11/04/2023 and it was really bad quality and made the family sick. We rang the restaurant and they said they’d partially refund the order via Just Eat. We still haven’t received this refund or any communication from the restaurant. We expected better service from the restaurant and were really disappointed with both this and our order.

Love this place.. for everything that it has to offer ... menu updated too , so something different to try plus new beer to be had , king cobra , comes out like a bottle of champagne @ 5.2% , yum ... but not the price lol.. I'll go back for sure for more tho .

This is a great restaurant that is definitely worth a visit. Especially if you are a fan of Indian cuisine. The staff is friendly, the portions are large, the price is adequate. I recommend it!

Terrible place. I had driven for hours and arrived to see 5 tables free but dirty. One guy said he would get me a table and he spoke to his manager. The manager told him to tell me they didn’t have a table for one because they couldn’t be bothered cleaning it. They then said I was welcome to get a take away which I declined. No idea what the food was like as they wouldn’t let me eat with them. Customer service at its poorest!!’

What a lovely little place. Well worth the trip. Staff are extremely friendly and Welcoming. The curry cocktail with lemon rice was out of this world. Chilli naan perfect. No space for pudding. Love the decor 😍

Very bad experience. For starters we ordered tandoori and chicken tikka and what they served is single plate containing two chicken legs and a few pieces of chicken. They also goofed up our main course chicken dish, instead they served 2 uncooked pieces of lamb meat in chilly curry. Overall not worth the money you spend here.
