Dempsey's Bar in County Durham

All my years in Seaham and never been into Dempsey's until tonight but what a wonderfully welcoming small bar with wonderful stuff and a nice little covered beer garden.

Real good, friendly place for watching sport. Barman very welcoming. Service at the bar was excellent

Really nice pub with reasonably priced beers, nice cocktails, lovely outdoor area out back, they don't serve food but do allow you to bring food in, dog friendly too which is great

Enjoy popping into Dempseys good atmosphere and a nice beer garden covered longe area

Lovely place. Right on the seafront. Nice inside. Lovely friendly staff, always a warm welcome. Sports on several TVs inside and outside. The best beer garden in Seaham. Which is also partially covered, with loads of heat lamps, throws and cushions. So perfect for any time of the year x Dogs are welcome too. Drinks only, no food, but you can bring a takeaway in and eat it in the beer garden or on the tables outside on the front.

Didn't eat in there but the bar and atmosphere was great. Very friendly and buzzing

I felt I'll but was not the drink, it was people vapping etc and smoke coming into main pub had to go out front it was horrible

What a great atmosphere, staff were so friendly and I loved the decor, we had a great evening there on Friday

Great place,friendly,good barmaid only problem was the f1 was on with no sound and the football was on 3 hours later but the sound was on while the f1 was on spoilt the experience

Outstanding customer service. As stated the landlady is lovely, welcoming and efficient. Prices were reasonable, atmosphere was pleasant. Wonderful little pub! Outstanding pint too.

Great Guinness, friendly good service, even brought round free bread rolls which were extremely tastie, well recommended.

Classy place, bit more expensive than other places in seaham but worth it

Called in to watch the Newcastle v Manchester City game and really enjoyed it . Good quality TV's on the walls, that are positioned well to optimise the viewing. The decor is also very good with some good photos on the walls. Above all a bar is only as good as its drinks and staff and Dempsey's has good lager and excellent staff, that made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in

I'm here from London attending a course nearby and I have been into this establishment a few times and found it very welcoming and friendly, they always show live sports and have an amazing range of drinks.... all bar staff are very nice too, I would highly recommend this bar to anyone visiting the area.

Cosy and good football coverage

A small, cosy bar with views out to sea. This is the best bar in Seaham to watch the football. The beer is good, reasonably priced which isn't spoiled by idiots.

This is without doubt the nicest pub in Seaham, it's beautifully decorated and has a lovely homely warm cosy feel to it. I call in a couple of times a month when I'm in the area and I'm always made to feel very welcome by the owner who bless her is getting on a bit but is such a lovely lady. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, great beer, good crack and an all round lovely pub. 5*****
