Demi Sports Bar in County Durham

Its cheap and average consett bar tbh bit to sporty and stinks of stale beer with sticky carpets probably to many fights and could do with some money spent on it and outside is god awful buuuuut theres worse places in consett for sure and the older regulars are good crack

Fast and friendly service. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Would highly recommend !

I was trigger happy last time and have asked them to remove my negative previous raring. I'll always be honest though. and this was clucking delicious. chips were crispy, chicken was amazing and enough to feed a family of 4 or me. not sure what you add to the skin but it's amazing. I'm glad we're back together

Love this place, and have ordered about 15 times, but I have to be honest - today was disappointing! Thought it felt very light, and sure enough, the chicken pieces were tiny, scrawny things. Hoped the pizza would offer redemption but most of the cheese and pepperoni had slid off into the corner of the box. The fries were great, and everything tasted good, just a shame we seemed to get children's portions. Let's hope it was a Friday 13th horror glitch and not a soon-to-be regular feature.

Chicken was aright but pizza was dead and garlic bread was the worst Iv had tasted bitter

I ordered a few weeks back and it was awesome. was hoping I'd get the same elite chicken today... (dramatic pause).... and that's exactly what I got mother cluckers 🐔 delicious

One or two bits of the chicken were good but the rest of the pieces were rubbery and not edible. Pizza base was good but tomato/cheese was not nice at all so it went in the bin. Delivery was really quick and pleasant, would try again if things were tweaked.

Burgers are great but the pizza and garlic bread where not nice very thin and also tough on the bottom.

Normally I don't eat chicken but tonight I fancied some and decided to give fancy a cluck a try. best fried chicken I've had! The pizza was also nice loved the fact it was sourdough instead of the bases that everywhere else do, but chicken was 💯 🐔. Will definitely fancy a cluck again 🤤

First time we ordered the food was great my only note would’ve been someone was a little heavy handed with the herbs on the chips but still really nice and not enough to put me off ordering again - today’s the second time we’ve ordered here and the balance is amazing - really nice food, will definitely be back and definitely recommend 👍 Excited to hear them expanding as well!

Won’t be back, tasteless cheap cuts of chicken, fries very under cooked soggy. Coleslaw didn’t get to my mouth, the sour smell stopped that. Fast delivery tho.

Best burger ever I think I did have a demi on

It's surprising at first to find the chicken pieces are fillets/strips rather than actual pieces, but you don't care after your first bite. This chicken is what KFC used to be... supremely tasty and addictive. Best chips from any takeaway in Consett, too.

Unfortunately we got the wrong burger delivered, we ordered a Kim Jong Cluck which was supposed to be BBQ but we got one with jalapeños and a spicy sauce, which was too spicy for me. Other burger was lovely as were the chips

chicken here is great, although a bit heavy on the salt. I’m partially embalmed now but at least I enjoyed the food

Legendary home of Consett Rugby Club. A must for any lover of rugby or cheap beer.

I’ve been to the Demi over the last 50 years for various occasions and it’s a great place. Kind friendly staff and atmosphere brilliant for a get together whatever the occasion happy or sad. The Demi is very child friendly I know this because I’m only 56 and as my family has continued to grow children have always been at our party’s I live in Staffordshire but always love returning to the Northeast and the Demi.

Good for watching sports with plenty of TV and big screen. Good choice of drinks. Pool table available for free. Seems to have become a bit of a youth club of late.

Haven't been in for years but was very impressed with it .

The staff have been brilliant throughout the hole event, allowing us to set up the bouncy bingo during the day, then they where so helpful on the night, everyone had a great evening and we will be back again for sure, we raised over £750.00 for the residents fund thank you so much this will make outing for the residents so much better

Fairly recently redecorated so decent modern decor. Good size function room with stage. Bar is very reasonably priced. Facilities are clean and staff are pleasant and helpful. Disabled access is good with a ramp up the side and plentiful parking if needed.

I'm not local but went here for a friends party. The staff were nice and the drinks were shockingly cheap!

A large and welcoming pub, with a good range of alcohol and soft drinks. Pool tables and sky sports available.

Rotten pub glass everywhere from outside at the front of the venue and behind the venue owners keep just brushing into the street instead of cleaning it up properly been asked numerous times to clear it up but they couldn't really care less

Busy bar, but got served quickly by a very friendly lady. Great pint at a really good price. Sports on all tv's and a good buzz around the place. Only went in for a beer on the way home......stayed for 3 ;)

Biggest day of the year as far as football is concerned. They have one bat open at 1442 and not opening the back bar until 6pm and place already full. Whoever manages this place needs to learn to manage as it is a joke. Why not get extra staff in and open the back bar as well. For the quarter final waited an hour to get in as they hadn't opened the back bar. The management should really start looking at their mismanagement!!!

The Demi isn't just a sports bar, it's part of the local community, everyone goes there and everyone loves it. People go there for a beer and to socialise, as well as family functions such as weddings and birthday parties. Staff always polite and courteous and you will be served when it's your turn. This place is always worth a visit if you're out for a few beers with friends. Definitely a five star boozer.

Bar staff are always friendly and welcoming. The beer is always good, and prices are very reasonable.

Only ever go to private parties there. Cannot comment on rest. But party room always clean and staff mostly helpful.

Great bar where you can have entertainment at the back. In cheap pint too two pool tables what are free to play on. And also play sports on there big screen.

Only visited as it was a conference / training session venue for me on this visit, but it looks to be a friendly, popular local bar/club facility normal hours of opening...
