I rarely give reviews to anyone, but you do. Together this place deserves a "0" Expensive, Disgusting coffee served after 15 minutes, I threw up after it, terrible service, terrible mess everywhere, especially in the toilet, owners please close this place!!!

Just waited 50 minutes for a single scoop of ice cream, they were unapologetic and unhelpful for the time they wasted, my friend also ordered a maple syrup pancake that arrived with chocolate sauce that when corrected they just added maple syrup on top.

Awful experience - took over 40 minutes to just get drinks and there were only 2 tables in there! Also charged too much! Overpriced, awful lengthy service and nothing special when the food finally arrived. Wanted to have a nice family gathering together and had to rush. Avoid!!

Was really happy to see a new place opened in our area in Castlecroft. My husband wanted to surprise us with pancakes! But i was horrified to open the box and see what was inside. A cold pancake with some cheap sickly swwet sauce and chopped up bits of Turkish delight, accompanied by a tup of cheap catering ice cream. When i tasted the pancake it was inedible and rubbery. Obviously not fresh but made goodness knows when. And all for the princely sum of £7.25! A rip off and horrible. After looking at the extensive menu it is clear that everything is bulk bought, nothing is freshly made. A scandal!!! If that is what the british public wants good luck to you!!

Best like always Staff are so friendly and kind Lovely waffles delicious ice cream and cookie dough.

Placed an order over the phone waited 35 mins called to see where it was to be told it will be 20mins another 30mins passed still nothing called again to be told very busy another 30 mins really!!!!!!!!! Get some more waffle machines maybe

Bought a chocolate milkshake and really did not enjoy it. He used the same spoons as before which had banana on it which then made my milkshake taste like banana. My friend bought a cookie dough and by the time it came to our table it was cold and went all hard and couldn't eat.

Ordered our dessert this evening at 7:20 which did not then arrive 9:05, 25 minutes after expected delivery time. Both desserts arrived cold, wasn't appealling when box was opened. Would of been quicker and more appetising to do it myself. Delightful desserts need to change there name to dreadful desserts!

Took my grandson to the new one in Worthing today. I was told that there was a 20 minute wait which was okay. Over half an hour later and the order still had not arrived. When we did get it, it was wrong! I had taken my family there on the Monday before and it wasn’t much better then. I will not be going back

Went to the Stourbridge branch and very disappointed. We were the sixth customer to complain and with only 5 tables seated and still had to wait an hour and a quarter. They served a drink with a wrapper in it, in complete food and our ice cream was given to us as we were leaving as we ran out of time on the car park. Warm flat drinks that came half way through our food. They had to replace nearly half of the food they served and dirty tables. Serving area and counters were chaos. Staff need re training and didn’t see to wash hands after cleaning tables and using disinfectant. It is not clean and filthy, highly disappointing. Menus covered in food. I have spent a lot money here previously and i won’t be returning. Many other better priced desert cafes in the areas with far better service. Other customers were reimbursed whereas we were left with melted ice cream. We are clearly not the only customers to feel this way after reading the reviews. I will await your response

My £5 something pancake took about 50 minutes to be made, once it has come out i was even more disappointed due to the fact that the lemon tasted like cleaning products and the sugar was icing sugar so it tasted horrible, I won’t be going there again

A late night visit here on a very warm day was a good ideal. Plenty of great selections on the menu and a good kids menu. Friendly staff and nice place but very warm on a day like that

Decided to have desert after visiting Shimla peppers, got to the bromsgrove delightful deserts place at 9pm to the doors being locked.

Took my grandson there for a milkshake and an ice cream. The milkshakes were very good and there is a very wide selection of ice-cream flavours.

Came here with a freind fancied a sweet treat. The girls serving didn’t look happy to be there. Very short and blunt, they didn’t have half the ingredients we wanted to put on the crepes. When we ordered something they did have - it came out cold and undercooked. Far too over overpriced for what it is. Wouldn’t choose to go here again.

Very nice little place in Stourbridge, been a few times now. Often not to full but that is nice allows for a good chat while enjoying delicious desserts. Food is always lovely and staff are polite and always say hello, seat you and say goodbye when leaving. My sister and I had a lovely Sunday afternoon crepe.

Delightful Desserts in Bromsgrove. What a treat... when it finally arrives. Me and my six friends visited the new desserts place in town. There were only a few tables occupied. Half of our order arrived but 50 minutes later the rest of the order came. By that time we had finished our food and drinks. Food tasted great but appallingly slow service.

Went to Bromsgrove one , which isn't here to place a review. Placed our order and was told there was a wait. 35 mins later we chased our drinks and when the hour was up and our desserts still hadn't arrived we cancelled our order and left.

It's ok if you just want to go out for a huge dessert. The portions are pretty good and the deserts are nice but you will have to wait a bit.

Well what was expected to be a lovely treat with my husband and 2 boys turned out a bit of a disaster.... my husband ordered the white chocolate and raspberry swirl waffle... this started of excellent until he realised there was small bugs on the raspberries. When I brought this to the attention of the staff without making a scene nothing was done about it except the simple words sorry about that.... this is not good enough considering the total cost of my bill was £30.65

This is truly a lovely place to visit for a variety of occasions. My wife and I have visited as pudding after a meal elsewhere. We've taken our daughter as an afternoon treat!

Staff cannot speak English and simply cannot understand customer. One of them couldnt even see over the counter she was that short !! Got the order wrong. Place was nearly empty and most tables were littered with leftovers. Place looks tacky. Saw staff (the real dumb one) cough into her hand then carry on preparing food. Menu must have been written on a fag packet as it's very boring and samey. Was charged for the wrong order but the staff then couldn't work out how to do a refund......... And in an empty restaurant they wouldn't and couldn't take the order till they knew which table we were at. OMG !

Really enjoyable food all round. The pancakes, waffles and cookie dough is top notch. The only slight gripe is that while there is lots of choice of ice cream flavour, the quality isn't fantastic. Still not enough to take it down from 5 stars though.

What a treat, I popped in, taken to a table, handed a menu and was spoilt for choice, from waffles, pancakes and loads of ice creams. Loved the place

Met up with a group of friends for a night of cocktails and puddings. Had tables reserved upstairs. There was such a delay on getting drinks and puddings if I'd have been on my own would not have stayed. Staff were apologetic and the puddings were worth the wait. Finally eating pudding at 9.20pm. Would only go if a social event.

I visited this place a few days ago.. although im local id never actually been here. On an outing with friends in the half term i decided to finish our day here with desserts. Upon arrival the miserable old lady refused to serve us.. she told us to go see if there were any spare tables first. Once we confirmed there were.. she said the people standing BEHIND us were there first n refused to serve. After finally placing our order we waited for a good 45 mins for our desserts. Kids got cranky. 2 big tables beside us who were there before us werent served STILL so we figured were probably going to be here for quite some time. We finally gave up and got a refund and went home. When we came down to the counter for our refund.. to our surprise.. the place was dead!! The 3 workers were just steolling around.. the waffle machines pans etc all empty and they were literally just messing around walking and talking with a full house upstairs. Appauling service. Asham really because the desserts looked amazing. And the ice cream selection was beautiful too.

Had a truly outstanding Strawberry Waffle at the Redditch branch. It was really impressive and the people were friendly and the service good. One word of warning; the waffles are very big, a meal in itself or best to share.

We booked quite a few weeks in advance for an afternoon tea for a group from work. It was a nightmare to book as no one answers the phone and there is not an option to leave a message. When we arrived we were seated upstairs, we informed the lady that two of our party wasn't able to come, we'd tried ringing and again that morning but again it just went to an automated message with no option to leave a message. The staff member who served us was quite miserable and it took ages to get served our tea and coffee. The afternoon as nothing special, shop bought white sliced bread and no option given for white or brown. The ham sandwiches had mustard on and the cheese had pickle on, we weren't asked in advance if we wanted that. The cakes were ordinary shop bought and quite disappointing, the staff were not very attentive and did not check regularly if we needed more tea and coffee, there was one lady who brought the extra drinks who was very pleasant. When we had finished we were told that we would have to pay £4.95 each for the two people who couldn't come, which we refused. We won't be returning. As far as afternoon teas are concerned they really need to up their game as what we were served wasn't worth the £14.95 we paid.

Visited on a reletively quite evening. Had to wait ages to be served, then even longer to receive the food in which they had messed the order up! In the end only one dessert was given which was of poor standard and quality...defintley not worth the money. Dirty tables with left over food that hadnt been cleared up.

Phoned up to place an order, got there to collect our order to find they had messed the order up. Won't be going back anytime soon

So before my wife came home one night with a waffle I was like wow this is amazing

Whilst the waffles we ordered were good having to wait more than half an hour for our drinks was unacceptable and then a further 10 minutes for the waffles having been told they would be another 20 seconds. The apology was half-hearted and insincere saying that they were very busy (they weren't!). Downstairs seating was uncomfortable too with too wide bench seats and low tables. We'd heard very good things about the place but won't be going back unless they improve their customer service, the young lady who served us was actually quite surly, a great disappointment!

This is a review for the new Redditch Branch NOT THE STOURBRIDGE BRANCH, which I have been too and it was lovely... The Redditch branch is nowhere near the level of the Stourbridge one, first of all it's not finished, bare wires hanging from the roof, filthy mirrors etc lacks a friendly atmosphere. the food is shocking!!! ordered three crepes with various fillings, they were all cold and put on the plates with the fillings slapped on top, no fillings in side and squirty cream on the side of the plates!! Ordered a peanut butter milkshake and after you had got through the mound of squirty cream tasted like chocolate milk, ordered a Mango cooler this was clear with loads of ice cubes in it tasted like cheap squash when you have paid £3.45 for the privilege you expect a bit more. Overall a terrible experience and its not worth the price you pay. My nine year old son could have presented the puddings better.

We had booked a groupon at another place, but had been let down (just a sign on the door saying they were closed). Even though they were really busy, the ladies at Delightful Desserts said that they would save us a table for just a short while later. We all had different things, but everything was delicious, service was quick and friendly, cafe was clean and welcoming. We will definitely be going back for afternoon tea soon (you do have to book for afternoon tea 24hrs in advance, but that is not unusual)

Took a while for us to be acknowledged when we walked in. Waited 40 mins for drinks let alone our food. Tables all around us remained dirty throughout the whole visit. There was only our table of 4 sat down stairs!!? Only 2 people serving!?

Very large portions, make sure you are hungry! Choice is extremely wide and so many lovely ice cream flavours to choose from. Was fairly busy even on a week night so must be popular. Prices are reasonable and certainly worth what you get. Experience was slightly shadowed by the seating as the tables could do with being higher when you're eating and need cutlery etc. The staff were friendly and accommodated any changes we wanted to make

delicious! Appropriately priced for what you get! Would highly reccomend the milk chocolate chip cookie dough!! The ice cream was really nice too!

I dont understand the previous bad review?? This place is small but they serve wonderfull desserts. The waffles are quite large and are delightfully decadent! We chose the waffle topped with fresh blueberries, raspberries and banana covered in a chocolate sauce with some cream and tutifruty gelato on the side. Amazing! Loved it. Will definately be making a regular visit to this shop.

We heard so much about this place so we're expecting it to deliver. We had a milkshake that was literally just milk. So liquid it was vile. Waffles are sickening and not much to choose from. Awful value for money

Have been a few times as I just love warm cookie dough. Prices are reasonable, but not cheap. Seating is quite cramped (purely due to size of the building) and it gets busy. Would definitely recommend booking as we have walked away a few times after being told there is a wait of an hour or more. The food itself is great; tasty, lots of options, and HUGE portions. There is always LOTS of staff behind the counter, but sadly this doesn't seem to speed up to the process. I wouldn't expect to wait nearly an hour for very simple food, but we have most times we have visited.

I'm sure this place is lovely when it is quiet, however due to my experience today I can't rate it higher than 3.

I visited the kingswinford branch for afternoon tea last week and loved it so much that I took another friend to the Stourbridge branch today. It continued to exceed my expectations with a fantastic variety of cakes, delicious sandwiches and scrumptious scones and tea/coffees. I am glad I have visited both stores and genuinely think the afternoon tea is value for money! The customer service is brilliant and booking in for the afternoon tea was easy over the phone. The time slots suit me and it's great that they accommodate bookings for the weekends. Thank you

We were enjoying a tasty dessert and then my boyfriend nearly cut his mouth open on a large piece of plastic in his ice cream and we only got an apology! The place seems like it's been bodged together, there is a sharp screw end sticking out under the booth .. little dessert shop Wolverhampton is much better!! Oh and some girls sat near us said they had to wait 45 minutes for there desserts to come out after they had there drinks!

Been for a visit, very small place but keep an watch out with your desserts! Found a big piece of plastic in the desserts, luckliy it wasnt swollowed! Just a good job a kid didnt eat the plastic!!

Party of five were told that we would have to sit upstairs as two out the four tables downstairs which would of been perfect for us had only two people sitting on them? Went upstairs to find the tables really grubby, they obviously had been wiped with a dirty ice-cream covered cloth. Unfortunately there was a group of about 8/10 12 year olds literally running riot (no adults were present) we sat for a few minutes but it was so noisy! We went back down stairs to order but there still were no tables free so it was leave or go back upstairs! Came to the conclusion that they fill the tables downstairs first regardless of party size to save the staff having to go up & down the stairs? Such as shame as the foods was delicious.

Called to place order for take away and drove up to collect which was about 10/15mins . Went in to pay and was told that no one had taken order , asked if I had called one of there other stores . I showed them the number I had called on my phone and it was there's , instead of then asking what I wanted to get it going , the staff were trying to find out what had happened to my order . They then found order which had "fallen off " there holding system . They did say sorry , but I stood there another 5-10 mins till it was done , no reduction in price or a extra scoop of ice cream .... Poor customer service , but great waffle

To be honest this isn't my first time visiting and certainly will not be my last! Since it opened I've been several times and cannot fault he service once!

The menu is varied, plenty of choice although vegans and those with a gluten intolerance have only one dish. A chocoholic would be at home and even my wife who doesn't eat chocolate has plenty to pick. The milkshakes are delicious too.

I've been here a few times, once with my mom who was disappointed at the lack of actual cakes. We didn't have anything that time because she found the smell of the waffles really sickly and nothing took her fancy. Then I went with my other half, we waited absolutely ages for a table before they seated us at one that had been empty the whole time. They looked very busy, but it wouldn't have hurt them to just sit us at the table and explain there might be a wait for food.

We have been here a handful of times as a family and the food is gorgeous. However, they do not and will not cater for anyone with a food intolerance. I even offered to bring my own soya milk for our son to have a milkshake and they said no. Surely they should have just one dairy free ice cream? A gluten free batter option? It wouldn't be hard to provide these.

Large selection of ice-creams and sorbets. Waffles were tasty with a nice variety on offer. Great enthusiasm from all the staff who seemed very happy working there.

i can completely impressed with everything here at delightful desserts! when i left my taste buds were intensely tingling! the atmosphere in there is really great and there is a wide selection of yummy food there to choose from. as soon as you walk in the smell of divine desserts hits you like a bullet train.

friendly greeting....not a lot off atmosphere....long wait.....food didnt all arrive together.....waffles werent hot......poor serving size for banana split for 6.00...very expensive for what it was..... wouldnt bother again

Visited here today with 4 of my friends and their babies, so in total there were 5 adults & five babies. We rang up to reserve a table the day before & when we arrived the table was reserved with the high chairs ready for our babies. We asked if one of the tables could be moved & the staff were more than accommodating following our request. We were handed menus & told to take our time choosing our order. Due to us having our babies there we all ordered separately but our desserts all came out together & were all hot. Portion sizes huge! All of the adults agreed our desserts were delicious. Theres so much choice of waffles, crepes, cakes, milkshakes etc. I opted for a ferrero rocher crepe & it was absolutely huge I couldn't finish it. It also came with a scoop of ice cream on top. After we had finished our meals we weren't rushed out by the staff. We all agreed it was a lovely visit & luckily all the babies were very well behaved. Staff were friendly & very attentive. Will be returning again very soon :)

As a family of 4, we waited for 10 minutes before anyone of the 6 members of staff behind the counter actually acknowledged us. This immediately annoyed us. There were only 2 tables being used downstairs and 3 upstairs, so it wasn't even busy. We were told that someone will clean the tables shortly. Another 10 minutes later someone slowly cleared away the dirty tables. After cleaning them we were then told to sit upstairs!! where we could have been told to sit 20 minutes ago!! Food was average. Waitress forgot a side order of icecream and bought it over when we had finished the desserts! All of the staff were young and have poor manners and very little customer service skills - a smile wouldn't hurt!!! Won't waste my money going here again.

My friend called ahead to check if we could get in with a wheelchair and was advised yes. We arrived to find a step inaccessible to a 'powered' wheelchair, the staff were lovely and apologised and called the boss to check if they had a ramp and the answer was no. It doesn't cost that much to get one and I am sure can be offset against tax? Disabled people also have money to spend which we had to go elsewhere to do. Sorry we couldn't leave a more positive review.

I love ice cream, I love waffles. The combination would be delightful. Happy to hear that this company had moved into stourbridge and made a visit. Sadly, not so delightful. Hate vegetable based ice creams, and it tasted cheap. The waffles, well chewy and didn't have the crispy crunch that a waffle should have. Shame. Staff nice, but very young and stood around gossiping rather than working and at £19, there are better desert outlets. Just awaiting for the novelty to ware off and another novelty to take its place.

I was happy to discover a nice dessert place near home ..been here few times before and always had to wait to be seated but was Saturday and busy but today is Sunday and was around 11 it was only 2 other tables...they have so much staff but not proply trained ..for a scoop of sorbet and one of the crepes been waiting about 35 minutes or more ...that just ruined the mood...

It took a long time to get seated. We were told it will be five minutes but we waited 20 minutes or more. The waffles were not very good as they were quite tough compared to other places.

Booked for 3 people as we heard that it can get busy, we went at 8pm on a Monday night. At this time there was plenty of parking on the road in Stourbridge so that wasn't a problem. Inside the restaurant had plenty of space upstairs and downstairs, and we chose to sit upstairs. If we could order the whole menu we would have done!! They had sooo much stuff on the menu that looked amazing, waffles, crepes, cookie dough, gelato, shakes and more! The desserts came out quite quickly, and they were absolutely delicious! We each had a combo waffle and some shakes - sooo much food! The waffles are bigger than your face and the gelato that comes with it is to die for! The combo waffles cost £7.50, and it is reasonable for what you get on your plate! We were stuffed but made sure we finished everything as it was just too nice! We will be going again, 3 pregnant ladies need this restaurant in their lives!! I have reccomended it to lots of people, and lots of my friends have been already and said how great it is! Can't wait to go again!

We visited on 1st October in the evening. We were all really impressed, a very extensive menu which is full of exciting options. The place itself was clean and pleasant, staff were friendly and attentive. We would definitely visit again!

Booked for 12 teenage girls as a birthday party. Highly recommend. Food was excellent and customer service was outstanding. Staff remained attentive throughout the party.

This was my 3rd time visiting this lovley place. Fast service, big portion (perfect size) amazing selection of ice creams and milkshakes.

Delightful desserts was a very average experience. The half and half waffle with coffee came to £10 and although it was very nice I felt it was slightly overpriced. Customer service was ok, but staff didn't seem eager to please, curious but bland. The food however was excellent, the ice cream was lovely, just a shame that the cream was not freshly whipped but looked like it was out of a can, for the price I would've expected it to be fresh. I'd definitely X recommend it if you're not too fussed about the budget.

We had been advised to visit the "delightful" place to eat, by a few friends of mine, so we decided to pop in since we were in the area.

A nice place to go for desert. Went there after a dinner and enjoyed every bite of all order. And the presentation was sublime.

Today I arrived at Delightful Desserts, Stourbridge. I had heard good things about this place and was expecting a luxury variety of sweets. How wrong could I have been. I walked through the door and was not greeted by anybody at all for at least 10 minutes. Me and my friend were just stood there like lemons where it said 'please wait here for a member of staff to take you to your table.' There was a long queue forming outside the door and everyone was getting pretty racked off too. There was at least 8 people behind the counter and only one of them was actually doing real work. The rest were just doing whatever they wanted, having a little chit chat whilst on their phones! After 10 minutes, one of them came over and said 'someone will be with you in a minute.' She then went back to do nothing worth while again. Eventually, to everyone's amazement somebody FINALLY came over to us. We were then absolutely ASTONISHED when she told us that the café was FULLY BOOKED, when in reality the whole place was completely empty, with nobody sitting in there at all. A place like this should not fully book their restaurant and leave space for walk-ins, rather than turn away customers. Everybody in the queue was extremely annoyed and walked away after hearing the ridiculous statement that they were FULLY BOOKED. To top it off, the way this woman spoke to us was ghastly. She seemed not to give two flying pears about customer service. Overall I am more than disappointed by the 10 pointless minutes of my life I wasted in 'delightful' deserts and will never be returning.

Expensive and small portions - disappointing. Cakes were a little stale. Service average but I am afraid to say not very professional.

Visited late on a Sunday morning, so the place was not packed. Obtained a table for five (including small grandchild) downstairs. I had a coffee others had milkshakes which they said were delicious. We had to wait a while for our desserts. I ordered a waffle combination of Nutella with chocolate and nuts & chocolate. The portion was sizeable. I was full, having eaten it. Other members of my family who had ordered a milkshake beforehand, could not finish their desserts.

I went here on recommendation as I have a sweet tooth and love cake. So I decided to try. Although the cake was delicious I also had a milk shake which came I a jar and was way to big for me to finish. And at the price it was I have had better for half the price.

Poorly trained staff, some were standing around, chatting. It's the longest time I ever had to wait for 1 scoop of ice cream. The place feels a little chaotic and the ice cream is mediocre. Don't bother.

I went to this restaurant for my Birthday, upon entry, a young member of staff making some of the desserts, turned to look at my mother and I to which she gave us a dirty look, turned back to one of her colleagues and shouted they will have to wait. In a VERY unfriendly tone. I was shocked and appalled at her behaviour, my mother was very put off and wanted to leave. As we had come out especially for my birthday we decided to stay, and whilst waiting to be seated I spoke to a member of the management team regarding what the staff member had said. After complaining I got told to go and sit down, he didn't take the issue very seriously considering the affect it had had on my mother and I. we were then offered complimentary ice-cream. when our food was brought over we asked if there was anything else we were waiting for to which I said, two lots of ice-cream from the manager. This eventually got brought over after we had to listen to the previous member of staff complaining at the fact they were giving away free ice-cream, regardless of what her manager had told her, which is downright disrespectful to both her manager and their guests. I will not be returning to this establishment as it put a downer on my birthday, and as I can see from the other reviews of this restaurant the management obviously don't care about their guests. Disgraceful.

Well, after reading previous reviews / comments about the customer service here, I walked in and saw all youngsters behind the counter and my heart sank. However, we were greeted immediately, asked to wait whilst they cleaned a table upstairs for us and not once did I feel that I was being ignored . I took my daughter and her friend in, one had a waffle with extras and one had a crepe with extras, plus a milk shake each. One thing my daughter said was " you usually go somewhere and the food never looks as good as it does on the menu - but here it actually does!" And they said everything tasted delicious too. So we will recommend it, and we will return.

Place was not busy when we arrived, there were five young girls and one young lad behind the counter just chatting. Not one of them gave us a greeting or eye contact so we waited by the "wait here" sign and waited and waited. Eventually a girl came down from upstairs and greeted us and took us to a table upstairs. The bannister of the staircase was sticky as was the menu and the room we were taken to was hot.

I really enjoyed going to this desserts shop. It is a highly recommended place where it has friendly staff and a wide range of selections on the menu.

We arrived at the restaurant and were ignored for the first five minutes, despite the numerous young members staff floating about. None of the members of staff looked happy to be there. We were finally greeted by an older women who was very pleasant. Service was quick, when our food was ready it was handed to us with no goodbye or thanks for coming.

When visiting I had anticipated a nice relaxed time eating some tasty desserts however it was far from this. The decor was old and dated and looked tatty. The staff where very unpleasant. The tables where sticky and some had residue of the previous customer. The food was average nothing spectacular and in my opinion slightly over priced. So all together it has been a visit that I could have happily lived without and I'll not be returning!

We visited on a busy Saturday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by a young member of staff and given a menu to look at whilst our table was being prepared.

OMG was so lovely we had ice creams couldnt decided what to have, if you have sweet tooth you'll be in heaven we are so going back again.

The desserts were amazing I had waffles they melted in my mouth and the bubble gum ice cream was superb. The place was easy to find, the staff were really nice and helpful. The only down side was the place itself, seating was uncomfortable, the decor is old and tatty looking.
