Delight Cafe Gallery in Aberdeenshire

We happened upon this lovely cafe in search of somewhere doggy friendly and we are so glad we did! What a gem of a place. Lovely food, great hosts and lots of lovely souvenirs available. We will be back!

Came here for food with my son today on the way to the Macduff Aquarium. Staff were very friendly, the food great and came out very quickly.

Have a new job in the area and been twice so far, will certainly be back, as lovely atmosphere! Great quiet place for a nice morning coffee with comfy sofas! Service top notch! They also have a nice gift shop to with lots of lovely unique gifts to buy!

Great welcome and hot tasty food. Premises are very clean and service was excellent. The owners daughter makes perfect Flat White coffee. Try one. What more do you want from a place

We enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and atmosphere. We very much enjoyed our soup and ciapanini and coffee. Will certainly be visiting again soon.

Lovely Cafe and shop. Dog friendly which is plus in my view. Food and coffee were excellent and will be back 🙂

What a lively place, warm and friendly welcome, amazing food highly recommend the excellent coffee and especially the Bakewell tart, made in house. Highly recommended and will definitely go back if I'm in the area

Nice and cosy, with a warm welcome. At first it looks rather small, but then you discover a spacious upper floor. I especially liked the toffee scones.

What a lovely cafe! I can't recommend it highly enough. The food is nice and the lovely owners and staff create such a welcoming and warm atmosphere. It's also a very baby friendly place - high chair, changing table in the toilet, they even had a baby feeding spoon today for us since we forgot to bring one.

Nice wee cafe, mixed with arts, crafts and nik-naks for sale. I had a cheese sandwich, but it could have done with some pickle or mayo as it was a tad dry. Cappuccino wasn't bad, a little hotter than it should have been, but it's hard to get a good cappuccino anywhere in the UK.

Lovely place with a nice atmosphere! Delicious food, a great cup of coffee and delicious deserts. We were welcomed with a great service and to top it all the gallery had a great variety of gift from the area. Definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful time at the Cafe. Its hard to find really good coffee in Scotland and we really liked the roast they served. The cake was nice too and the absolutely nice staff helped me dry my books wich are very important to me and got wet. The included shop is also very sweet ✨

Nice place to go. Interesting and good quality gifts on sale. Cakes were tasty but portion sizes very small given the cost of them.

Love this café! I don’t live locally so anytime I’m in town this is the spot I go to. Always have wonderful cakes to go with the perfect hot drink. The staff are all lovely and I love the gallery/shop and beautiful products they have for sale here. Highly recommend making a stop here!

Popped in for a late lunch with husband and son. The cafe is very open, fresh and clean looking. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming, and the food (we had toasties and homemade soup) were delicious 😋 so much so, my husband and son went back for seconds! 🤣 There is also a delightful gift shop full of local handmade crafts, some stunningly beautiful pieces. The Delight Cafe Gallery was a hidden gem we are delighted to have found and look forward to visiting as often as possible 😍

Lovely family run cafe. Very welcoming, with a great, friendly atmosphere. I have been many times, and enjoyed whatever I've had. There is a great selection of drinks and light snacks. Lovely little gift shop too. Very central, just round the corner from High Street and Castle Street. A real hidden little gem!

We had lovely coffee and cake, and we enjoyed looking at the beautiful hand made crafts on sale. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. It's worth the very short detour from the main road! Thank you for a great visit.

Stopped in for lunch, food and service were great and the Latte was the best I had on the entire trip!

Visited today and wasn’t impressed with the abruptness when I asked if they catered for gluten free, a very straight to the point no was the reply. Eventually the only option was a lukewarm bowl of soup which wasn’t what I’d hoped for. Won’t be rushing back unless they change the menu to cater for gluten free

Sweet little café, beautiful, friendly staff, tasty cakes (the Mars bar scones were surprisingly delicious), good drinks and very affordable (at least compared to London prices)! Has lovely crafts and beautiful art from local makers on sale and if I wasn't poor I would have bought a lot more 😊 Would definitely recommend and would love to go again! 🙂 We had a ... *ahem* ... delightful time 😅

Came across this lovely wee cafe by chance ,with lovely gifts and art work,the food was excellent had a bowl of tasty homemade soup and sandwich, definitely going back.

Just off the High Street but well worth a visit for properly made flat white and delicious cakes.

Didn't get a chance to try food or drink but it's a great place to go to if you're looking for a gift or souvenir from your trip because they've got beautiful items!

Excellent coffee shop and gallery with great selection of sandwiches, toasties and scones. Some lovely local art is on display for purchasing.

Lovely soup Waited quite a while on food but nice when it came it felt cold in area with the sofas some heating would be nice apart from that it was lovely

A real find. Round the corner and up the street, this cafe is welcoming and the staff are friendly and provide a good service. We had soup and proper toasties; simple, but delicious. Pleasing walls of photographs and crafts to admire from your seat or to have a wander and look at whilst waiting for your food. And the blueberry scones were lush. Worth a stop for lunch.

Great place. Its a tardis.... looks small outside but very big inside. The food is fantastic and there is a picture gallery to look over while you are waiting for the freshly made food and coffee. Well worth visiting..... you will not be disappointed

Having been turned away from a few places because we had our dog with us, we chanced upon Delight which was tucked up a side street. It was such a lucky find. We, and our dog, were made exceptionally welcome by the very friendly staff. We had soup and a sandwich....just right for a dreich day. It was all homemade and delicious and the sandwich was made with lovely bread which really made a difference. So often sandwiches are put together with supermarket sliced bread but not here. It was top quality. We were quite loathe to leave and venture out into the cold again so stayed and had a coffee too. That, too, didn't disappoint. It's just off the main thoroughfare but well worth the deviation.

Wonderful cappuccino and snacks. Delight is everything a café should be but is even more with interesting framed pictures of the area on sale and quality gifts also. I'm hooked.

Went in for lunch yesterday on a wet and windy day. Wonderful coffee and toasties, lovely staff.... and dog friendly, can't ask for more. A little gem well worth visiting

Great cup of latte and a tasty scone, 1st class service and very reasonable prices.

Welcomed by the very pleasant manager, I felt at home immediately. My 'Coffee of the Month' flat white was excellent, and the cakes gobbled later (they have a really good takeaway service too) by my wife, daughter and grandson were greatly appreciated. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the ambience of the whole place is lovely. To quote Arnie - "I'll be back."

We had a lovely lunch here, homemade soup with ciapaninis (a cross between a ciabatta and a panini) for the adults and the kids sandwich option.Staff were very friendly and they had a solid handle on the coronavirus measures, it was the safest I've experienced since eating in cafes again.The kids decided it was the best cafe they'd ever been in, at least partly because of the babyccinos with chocolate smily faces

Gorgeous home made soup with fresh bread followed by tasty toasties. Service was really warm and friendly and atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Best Coffee I have had house blend is incredibly smooth and the cakes are delicious especially the Turkish delight slice.

Genuinely best coffee going - the Guatemalan blend is divine..! Lovely (socially distanced) lunch as always. Superb service. An absolute must if you are in the area... and if you aren’t in the area, TRAVEL

The service could not be better and the soup and scones were good. The range of cakes was limited although what we had was good. Although there is disabled access it is still somewhat challenging as the path is not flat

A friendly welcome, good choice of cakes/biscuits, interesting photo gallery, jewellery section and comfortable seating - even ground coffee for sale. Will definitely return.

We came here due to other reviews and are so glad we did! Both had excellent soup and toastier with a really tasty side salad and crisps. Really glad we called in and just about to enjoy the rest of our coffee. Friendly, peaceful and free wi fi too!!!

Had a delicious cheese scone and coffee of the week here, with my husband and elderly mother. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and clean, accessible tables and facilities Will definitely be back when we’re next in town.

What a lovely place to rest and have a coffee or lunch. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is clean and interesting. The coffee and cakes are first-rate. We bought some place mats which were of a high standard. The photographic gallery produces some quality items. We were especially pleased to see the Christian input as well. If we go to Moray again we will definitely re-visit this café. if we lived up there we would be regular visitors to the best coffee shop in Banff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I visit this cafe quite frequently for a takeaway coffee, I had the gluten free brownie this morning and it was the best I’ve ever had Every time I’m in I have a look round at the photography by Andy. Fantastic staff that are always up for a laugh.And the best part? They have a loyalty scheme!! Free coffee? Yes please

What a hidden gem! This Cafe is well worth heading up from High Street to try out. A great selection of scones and treats, and hot drinks to match. I had a cheese scone (warmed and really cheesy!) with an echinacea and raspberry tea, which was lovely. I'm no coffee drinker, but my friend is, and she thought her coffee was really good, and knowing it's supporting local growers make a decent income is an added bonus. Do try out Delight Cafe if you are in Banff. They also sell photographs and can arrange photography sessions.

We visited the cafe on the CAVA shopping trail. Staff were very friendly, coffee and cake delicious, hidden up a side street. Proprietor is a photographer and had his pictures of local scenes on display which you could purchase, enjoyed our conversation. Enjoyable visit.

My second visit to the Delight Cafe & my second cheese scone from there Delicious! Comfy seating area & brilliant staff I'll be in for my 3rd cheese scone very soon.....

Absolutely love this place, in it a couple times a week on my way to work. Coffee is lovely and available to take away Nothing is ever to much for the friendly staff! They make you feel very welcome!

I have a caramel latte and a piece every time I go, the coffee is always excellent and the homebakes are delicious. Cozy atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Beautiful local photography and interesting artwork. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a hidden gem in Banff. The Delight Cafe is worth visiting due to the nice atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely decor and freshly baked produce. Also great coffee is available too. Thoroughly recommended.

I try to visit at least once a week, they do the nicest coffee & scones in the area, all with really nice, friendly service. Andy & Rosie are always welcoming, and happy to chat about things local, as well as the lovely displays they have. A real asset to the area.

What a lovely place - just tucked off the main road but with very easy parking. Amazing ethically sourced coffee in beautiful surroundings - the cafe is full of beautiful landscape photography which is available to buy. Excellent staff, gorgeous cakes..... definitely a place to go if you are in the area at all.

Lovely place, very chilled, beautiful pictures to look at, browse and buy. Love the hot chocolate and coffee! Cakes are always amazing! Very friendly staff, always making time for conversation, never make you feel rushed. Have had a few photoshoots done here too, brilliant pictures!

Great atmosphere (adore the lighting and comfy couches). Great service (the staff couldn't be more accommodating). Gorgeous Scottish landscapes on every wall. Plus, I can ask them to print my pics or if there's a photo of theirs I like, they'll sell it to me on the spot OR reprint it in any (standard) size I like - often while I wait! They also have the best scones in town. I take my 9-month-old daughter there at least once a week, often to meet up with a friend or two and their littles.
