Went here on the Saturday, table of two. Drinks were the same price as rest of the complex, food was expensive but I would have eaten 60 of those cheeseburgers if I had the capacity to do so. The lad that served us, Jack M, was a legend and made sure everything went smoothly, food came out quickly, Great night 🔥

Very disappointed, I visited @5pm on 21.2.25 very expensive, sticky dirty table, peeling paint everywhere. My son had a pint of Estrella which was fine. Only 2 real beers on offer Wainwright's and Pedigree. Lack of any real choice, other decent lager (Hawkeshead) had run out. I opted for a half of Pedigree, flat, dull and not very good no head, girl behind bar hadn't got a clue how to pour a beer. £9.40 for a pint (ok) and half of awful beer. So I thought I'll go for Guinness, girl couldn't get tap to work, I tried it, it had gone off. Watery and smelled bad. I would not recommend this experience to anyone. I will not be returning. Poorly trained staff, far too expensive and other far better pubs within a few miles at Lowdham.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great coffee and hot chocolate always at the right temperature. Spoilt by a loud group of elderly people who appear to meet there ever morning and stay all morning. They all try to speak at once and you can even hear them clearly from the toilets. They drown out your own conversation. Now going elsewhere or afternoons only.

Stayed here for a three night break . Got a genuine welcome on arrival and we were looked after by all the staff during our stay . Breakfast menu is excellent as is the food menu with so many choices and reasonably priced . Bedroom was comfortable and I slept so well . We had room 2 . 5 mins walk from Sherwood Forest visitor centre . Lovely little village . Love that the locals use the Forest Lodge too - always someone in the bar enjoying a drink or meal. Just our kind of place and we will be back . Bridget and Steve
