Delicious Authentic Caribbean Cuisine in Merton

I don’t know if these people know how to cook or even know about food hygiene and well keeping of food but when I tell you I could really sue this place. I ordered jerk chicken and rice and peas, first of all I don’t know why the chicken looked like that(horrible) and rice and peas is literally white rice with peas. Over the course of 2-3 weeks my stomach was hurting and I kept going to the loo. I will never step foot back there again.

Food was awful made me projectile vomit 🤢 as an acquaintance of Katherine HRH Princess of Wales she recommended the place specifying the discretion and attention to detail when they went out hoping that their visit wouldn't draw too much attention unfortunately we had little George with us and were lucky that after begging them to be quiet that the press never turned up nonetheless I definitely wouldn't recommend that goat and tripe curry 😢

I spent the evening with a group of friends at Delicious Restaurant in Mitcham. The food was delicious, and the service impeccable. Our every request was addressed and no request was too much trouble. The conversation flowed easily because the background music was pitched just right, not too loud but enough to create a relaxing atmosphere. The ambiance of the surroundings was conducive to a wonderful evening. A totally enjoyable experience. Thank you Delicious Restaurant 😋

Rang me. I missed the call. Called back and lady on other end of the phone was very rude and hung up on me. Very disappointing

I love eating here, always a calm and relaxing ambience. The setting is always clean and welcoming. Beautiful, hospitable staff They serve a wide variety of amazingly freshly cooked foods. My favourite is the oxtail, it falls right off of the bone and is so flavoursome.

Visited the first evening of our London visit and it was a very nice experience we will remember for sure. The food was great, just the 2,2 M SHU sauce on the table should have warn us earlier that the basic hot level of meals might tend to be higher. I recommend to ask in advance, when visiting with kids or people not used to spicy meals. They offer also meals without any hot peppers, that the children could eat and enjoy. Thanks also to a very friendly atmosphere this restaurant is definitely worth visiting.

Went for a takeaway but the rain made dining in a must. Stew chicken, rice and peas, steamed vegetables with a side order of plantain. Worth the walk in the rain and pleasant service.

Waited for 10 mins to be served then when I was served some regulars came in and I had to wait even longer as they decided there Gona do theres before mine. So waited a total of 30 mins for my goat to be warmed up. I also got the bottom If the pot as it tasted burnt if i hadn't paid already I would have walked out good trick that is take my money first everyone else got there food first b4 they paid but hey ho my face didn’t fit

Amazing food! Everything tastes outstanding from the bbq chicken to ackee+saltfish. I love the dine in option and great service provided during my visit. I will defiantly return - the best authentic Jamaican food in London!

I dont understand some of the negative reviews here. Everything I have had from this place has been delicious (as the name says). The oxtail, plantain, colesaw, fried fish and brown stew fish have all been sublime, looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Sadly, I have to echo Sade's review from 2 weeks back. Lady on the counter comes across as unfriendly and disinterested. Calalloo, my particular favourite, £3.50 and inedible, barky, tough, unstripped so went straight into the bin. Learning the customer service lesson is so overdue, time it was learned, especially as the food (stew chicken & Oxtail) is average at best, scope for improvement all round, I hope it's heeded and the business goes from strength to strength.

Where should I start, the attitude from the server from the get go was off putting just by going into the shop. No welcome or interest in who came into her shop. Ordered two dinners and both were disappointing and BLAND!!! Jerk chicken was undercooked and pink inside. Honestly you’re better off going to another shop for the prices you put for rubbish.

This is the best place to get Proper Caribbean food I was pleased with the food and the staff. I will definitely recommend you guys to all my friends and family.❤

Trust me the food is what it says on the name of the shop , food always warm and nice not found anything on the menu I've not liked the taste of for sure is one to visit , you will not be disappointed 💯

I am fussy over where I eat. That being said I can eat almost everything on the menu at Delicious... it certainly lives up to its name. Staff are friendly, portions are sufficient and phone orders are welcome. I recommend you not just takeaway but come and sit down for a bit, the vibes are as good as the food!

Our family LOVE to eat here. The chicken stew, rice and peas is my favourite and the Jerk chicken loved by my husband. I absolutely love their coleslaw as it reminds me if when my mum used to make it. Lovely manager and I love the uplifting music played in the shop. There's alot of LOVE from me for this place. A true gem. X

Ok, the view from the street is not exactly awe-inspiring. Don't even start me on the name; experience tells me that food from a business which calls itself 'Delicious' will be anything but. Without any local jerk chicken cuisine choices on offer which i so urgently craved, I dove into the deep end - expecting, ultimately, to be massively disappointed. Oh, how my taste buds proved me wrong! Tender, juicy, marinated chicken. Rice cooked to perfection, and all delivered piping hot - in super-speedy time - by our friend from Just Eat. The authentic Caribbean jerk flavours sung to me (Lovers' Rock reggae-style) as I sank my teeth into this plentiful culinary feast. I double-checked my receipt, assuming I'd been charged a King's ransom for this delectable treat - but, no: it was mere pennies! I shall return!

Great customer service, no veg meal options apart from callaloo and rice, pepper steak wasn't spicy and wasn't to my liking. The shop looks nice and fresh. Will give another go and try something else.

I had a jerk chicken dinner. The service was very good. The food delicious, hot and a good amount for the price. Great experience. I also love the fritters, which are a meal by themselves. Highly recommended.

The Employees waa Rude. As service does not exist. Dish was normal. The price was expensive for that meal.

Carribbean food ok can vary and may not always have full range. A recent refurbishment and management and staff changes have improved.

Have been going here for years. Lovely food and friendly staff, only negative is when they run out of food you want.

Went in for a lunch time meal which after being served with no passion whatsoever was amazed at how little the portion was..small portion of rice and 3 tiny pieces of chicken..After telling the depressive server she simply walked away and said that's what you get for £4.00..Totally disgusting service and quantity..Never going back.

OMG, Pepper Steak, Pepper Steak, so delicious. The cuts of meat are devine. Soft and tender to taste and she even made sure I had enough gravy! Wonderful stuff when it's my turn to cook!!

Popped in after walking past and seeing the refurb finished ... got to say the Goat Curry was outstanding.... will try the jerk chicken next time

Just around the corner from me sits "Don's Jerk Centre" and mighty pleased I am too. From the outside just another shop and the same on the inside but this is where the ordinary stops and the excellence starts because the food is of outstanding quality. Jerk chicken Jerk pork steamed fish etc all cooked to perfection, a taste of Jamaica. An oasis in Mitcham. More of a takeaway than an eat in (there is only one table). Have a chat with Don while you wait he's an interesting guy.

A little pricier than a burger and chips but the prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are good, food is prepped ahead of time instead of made-to-order so you'll be asked if you want your order heated up. Only down-side is an apparent lack of home-delivery.

What sort of food restaurant sells cold food? There was a reason I came got a take away. I get home to see my jerk chicken cos as F! Such a let down dont waste your time. Disappointing portion disappointing would not recommend

Amazing food, great flavour & priced very well. Gentlemen that serves during the day is polite & curtious. Shame I live so far on the other side of London or else this would be a regular for me.
