Had a takeaway following a recommendation and was very disappointed with the quality of the food - in fact it was one of the worst Chinese meals we ever had, £24 down the drain

AWFULL !!! Our order was over £45 and the food was cold .,. as well as missing ingredients (for example the young chow fried rice was a simple fried rice with come chicken and char siu leftovers maybe from another returned order or from previous days). Contacted the takeaway and I’ve been told I will get a replacement of my rice as long as I give the rice that I have to the driver to be taken back to the shop!!! After a couple of minutes they cave contacted me saying that this what I am supposed to get, and after an argument they have put the phone down .... WTF ... really !?!? I don’t have an issue with anyone but this is unacceptable in my opinion !!!

Awful food - Seaweed was covered in sugar, empty spring rolls and fatty duck , it’s also not cheap 🤮

First delivery was two hours, disgusting. Thought we'd try it again as the food is good but no, still waiting two and a half hours later, no food.

We’ve ordered from here a lot of times and for a while now the food has been abysmal! Can never get orders right and still charge for the whole order and refuse to bring the missing orders We got a chicken meal and it had a prawn inside (I am allergic to prawns) and now feeling extremely ill and now off work till I’m well enough. Extremely rude staff on the phone. Not a poulton standard takeaway will NEVER be ordering from here again. Absolutely disgusted If you are ordering from here and you’re allergic to something on the menu. BE CAREFUL! Check before you eat anything!!!

We were staying near Blackpool for a week and was recommended to go here for a takeaway, on our first night ordered over the phone, said ready in 15mins was just lacking it when we arrived, food was really nice, free chicken wings, prawn crackers and mini spring rolls 👌 All the food was hot and had plenty of meat in, kids loved the salt and pepper chips (we don’t get these at our home Chinese) noodles tasty, very impressed, so much so that we had another Chinese before we left on our last night, if I was in the area again would definitely return, gentleman who served us was very pleasant too 😊 We are very critical of Chinese takeaways when we are away as we are used to having such a fantastic one on our doorstep, this one did not disappoint

Had a takeaway from Delicious this evening. We are very critical and often disappointed with takeaways, but this was superb. It was clear that each dish had been freshly cooked to order and was excellent. Generous portions, with a few extras kindly thrown in and not just the standard prawn crackers. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommend!!

Weird experience - ordered a Chinese last Sunday. After an hour the food hadn't arrived so I rang, they advised that it was on it's way. 5 minutes later they rang back to say their driver had gone to the wrong address they were making it again - it was swiftly delivered and we were given an apology. Food was nice, no complaints. Fast forward a week and Delicious Chinese turn up at my door and claim that I rang them last week and told them I'd received the food twice. They show me a number that's not mine and claim that I have to pay for it again (a week later). I explain they told me that their delivery driver was lost and therefore they sent a new delivery out. This conversation goes on for a good 5/10 minutes where they're half expecting me to pay for food I never received on a Sunday night at 9:30pm... Very weird/surreal experience but safe to say turning up on my doorstep unannounced demanding money hasn't left the best impression! While I totally understand they have probably been scammed in the past, would it not have been better to call back this number they've got logged rather than appearing at my house particularly when we're supposed to be social distancing!!

Very poor service. Our take away order arrived with an item missing. We rang to let them know and they told us we didn’t order it. We did. And I have 2 witnesses. So instead of apologising, the person on the phone was rude and hung up. Spoilt our meal. Lost our custom indefinitely now and we were regular customers before this.

Food was well salty and when I mean salty I mean you could of scraped it off and used it on 5 more meals. The chicken had been cooked in old oil that tasted burnt and bitter, the batter tasted like a pleasure beach donut I would not recommend this to my worst enemy or Adolph Hitler wouldn't even give it a blank star rating. ..... vile never again

Tried Delicious after reading good reviews and due to my usual Chinese takeaway being closed. I ordered honey spare ribs, chicken satay skewers and a special chow mein with crispy noodles. The meal was delivered and cost just over £17. Wasn't too keen on being charged £3 for delivery. Spare ribs were probably the best part of the meal for taste. Chicken satay skewers were inedible and had a baby poo coloured sauce smeared over them. The chow mein was soggy and the meat was overcooked, chewy and fatty. The crispy noodles were just soggy and inedible. Won't be earing here again for quality of food or cost.

Was recommended this place, I ordered king prawns salt and pepper! Amazing! Crispy duck pancakes, crispy chilli beef, egg fried rice, and vermicelli noodles! Couldn’t fault food! Hot, fresh, Daniel in phone was helpful, and quick delivery! Great place, it seems consistent! I will review again in another few weeks!

The food was just about ok. I had salt and pepper wings (which were soggy) and king prawn (all 4 of them!) with ginger and spring onions. They forgot my sauce and prawn crackers. Forgetting things seems to be their thing from reading some of their other reviews. I’d heard such great things about them! Doesn’t live up to the hype.

Delivery was quick, almost too quick, must not have any other orders at 6.15 on a Saturday night? Food was pretty rubbish. Chicken Satay starter, sauce tasted like reconstituted powder with extra sugar thrown in - yuk! Husband had Salt n pepper ribs which he said were ok. Mains, tasteless chow mein and a special curry that got thrown in the bin. Came with free spring rolls which were all grease and no filling and the best bit of all about the meal - prawn crackers. With delivery, it was a waste of £25. Never again!

Ordered a 7 portion meal for family, only six arrived! A quick phone call and the error was swiftly addressed. The meal was tasty and hot will definitely use the service again.

I just stopped on the way back to the BnB after walking into town. The owner served me and, when I asked for some help to make my selection, he was clueless and not helpful at all. It was my first time and I hoped to have some information. I got none and I should have left.As I continued to push forward with some guesses (I confess I was tired and just wanted something to eat and go home), he appeared more about getting the order than meeting any expectation of service. More than once he keyed in what I was asking a question about rather than listening to the question - subsequently having to cancel the order.As I left, I double checked my order and realized that he had not given me the spring rolls. I brought it to his attention and he pulled out the receipt showing the item was not on the total. He had CANCELED IT in his rush to add then take out the other items. It was a two pound item that cost 25 pence to make. It was his mistake and it would have cost so little to fix. He offered to make it... But at full retail. I just left. The food was tasty enough. I had the hot and sour soup (7 out of 10) and the szechuan chicken (8 of 10).Based on the food, I'd go back if I needed to eat. ... But I would certainly walk past it for other options.

Please read the report on the Food standard agency website not good! Shame we didn't read it before we had a takeaway! My noodles looked like they had been fried in filthy oil they were black, I had a spoonful and a spoonful of special fried rice and couldn't eat it.My partner devoured the whole lot ribs included and 12hrs later we were both ill. I got off lightly only eating a small amount, my partner is still drinking only water 5 days later. We ordered early evening expecting a wait, but it came within 10 mins so not cooked fresh!

Love their food. Be aware at busy times it can take up to an hour for it to arrive when you ask for a delivery (we live in a village some 3 miles away). Always delivered with a smile! If you like Chinese food you won't go wrong here.

I was recommended this Chinese take out by friends who are locals. I wasn't disappointed. We had a massive order: Vermicelli Noodles, Hong Kong style sweet & sour pork, Chicken Curry, Chicken Wings, King Prawn Chilli, Spring rolls etc - it only took 10-15 minutes and was ready for pick up!

It arrived 10 minutes after the 10 minutes the restaurant added to the delivery time. The food has been a lot better in past orders.

The order was on time but the food was shocking. Wasn't a lot of meat but what we did have was extremely rubbery. The chips were hard and the fried rice was like boiled rice, tasteless. Paid £20 for food that would cost £15 anywhere else but it was not worth the money. Absolute rip off for extremely low standard food. Will not be ordering from here again!

Starters were great, really enjoyed the prawn toast and deep fried wontons. Mains were ok had the king prawn in vegetables(this was nice, lots of prawns and the veg was cooked well, not soggy and horrible,) and the kung po chicken which was very spicey! It had lots of cashew nuts in it. Egg fried rice was delicious! We would order from them again.

Food was lovely good size portions. Food was 1 hour late so 2 hours from ordering to delivery. It was saturday at 640 i put the order in, so peak time. Il will collect next time.

Whilst food quality was OK, this was forgotten by the 40 minute delay in delivery. Whilst the driver was apologetic it didn't help that we had 2 children waiting on food. My wife has commented that the soup was one of the best she has had.

chips, springrolls and curry sauce were cold. ive worked at chineses before and the curry must of been sat for about an hr b4 i received it to be that cold.. everything else was very nice. 3quid delivery is also rather excessive when i live less than 3 miles away from the shop

Use this take away most Fridays .. great food , large portions and great variety . Salt and pepper chips are a must ! Fillet steak in black bean and pepper sauce is full of meat and delicious . Highly recommend

La comida aquí es excelente. Tenía un problema enorme, la última vez que pedimos se olvidaron de nosotros. Nos dijo de donde el fibs comida era cuando llamamos. Cantidad de descuento ofrecido un irrisorios, teniendo en cuenta lo que nos había pedido! Esta vez nos dio otra oportunidad. La comida llegó caliente, temprano (me dijeron 45 minutos llegó en 20). Tuve carne kum po con arroz hervido que fue excelente. Los otros no deja nada en los platos, así que puede asumir la de ellos era igual de bueno. Se obtiene mucho por su dinero. También si su pase es de más de 20 libras te dan extras! Le hubiera dado 5 para servicio no hubiéramos estado decepción la última vez.

The food tasted very fresh and arrived quicker than expected and hot. Chicken satay was very tasty, Only downsides were the rice didn't seem like egg fried rice had no colour to it, curry sauce was an orangy colour and chicken and sweet corn soup was a tad watery but did taste nice x

First time ordering from Delicious Chinese Takeaway & we'll certainly be back. Ordered the set meal for 2 - plenty of food, delicious, hot & spicy. Loved that the meals were curry & satay - makes a great change from the usual black Bean. Food was excellent. Things of meat in the curry, same too with the satay as well as loads of crunchy chestnuts. Fabulous!!!!

I asked for the food to arrive at 20:15 yet it arrived an hour early, also on the special instructions I requested that there was no curry with the egg fried rice, yet when it arrived it was all over.

Food lives up to the restaurants name and the last few times we have ordered delivery time has been uber-quick, the last time was within 20 minutes and that was on a Friday night. Really good.

Ordered aromatic crispy duck and pancakes with hoisin sauce and cucumber and spring onions. The cucumber was off and spring onions were not fresh and must have been days old had to throw away, will never order from here again, poor food quality

Absolutely horrific service, food took 1hr 40mins and several calls to the takeaway; customer service was terrible, no apology or compensation offered. Will never use this takeaway again, nor will I use just-eat again as they have refused to accept any agency liability. What is the logic in using an agent?
