Wow! Delicious! Fabulous service.

“As I was driving, I was looking for a coffee shop and came across Delicatessen. The shop doors were open, and there were staff inside. I went in to order a coffee, and they made one for me. After they handed me the coffee, I asked to pay, but a young girl, with had a strong accent, told me they weren’t open. Then, she took the coffee back and said, ‘We are closed.’ I was shocked.

Tonight we walked in and were greeted by the manergress, she sat us down and explained the specials. She then came over to take our order, she was extremely bubbly and friendly and very helpful. She gave us some recommendations and we ordered. our drinks came promptly and the food followed, for starters we got the beef taco, the pastila and the aubergine. the beef taco was disappointing, the meat was extremely dry, the other starters were delicious! The mains were very tasty. All in all a wonderful experience, amazing service from the manager and a nice dining experience. Would come again!

Fantastic Kosher restaurant with the best kosher steak dish I've had in London. All the food was full of flavour and presented beautifully. Service was excellent as well

This restaurant is simply exquisite. As far as Kosher eating experiences go, I haven't seen anything that matches it. The dishes are carefully crafted, each a work of art. The cuisine is health-conscious, but every bite is a journey- exploding with a unique blend of flavours and textures. We had a fantastic time, huge kudos to the head chef for his incredible work putting together this stellar menu!

The food is incredible and presented with care, highly recommend their mustard mayo. Prices are fair for the size and quality of the meals. Staff are friendly and their new head chef is very passionate about their level of service. Will happily visit again soon

Last night we reserved a table to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a great dining experience. The food was tasty, presented well, and came in generous servings. The staff were extremely attentive, took good care of our table, and delivered exceptional service. We hope to go back soon.

When we arrived, the grumpy waitress who presented us with the menus did not greet us with ‘Hello’ or ‘welcome’ but told us that there is no duck and no fries. She was chewing gum with mouth open. We felt very uncomfortable from that moment. Starters were delicious but there was a piece of plastic in one dish and a foreign hair in another. We showed waitress and she said a quick sorry but did not offer to replace the dish. Main course was delicious. Nearing end of main course manager came to say we had 45 minutes left at the table as another booking had just come through. We found this very rude and thought she might have said this in a better way, perhaps asking if we wanted dessert and when we said no, realising she didn’t need to say anything. We explained this to her but she didn’t seem to care. A minute later a second waitress came to clear the table and said that we have 30 minutes left at the table. We told her we have already been told that it was 45 minutes by the manager. Waitress who cleared table also seemed extremely grumpy. Shomer who came to open wine didn’t make eye contact or engage in conversation. Customer service atrocious. Atmosphere awful. Food delicious. Bill was over £750 including two wines and we paid the full service charge though I wish we hadn’t. We won’t be returning which is a shame as previous management and owner was so friendly.

Starters and main course arrived 40 minutes after ordering...together. Deli pastilla, which is like a beef cigar but with chicken, is £11 for one single cigar - I would be better off with a Falafel in a Laffa at Mazal for £11. Arrays were top! The Rib-eye Steak was served with a burnt piece of bone (apparently bone marrow - no marrow left since its all burnt), in a bowl, on top of a cabbage soup that was saltier then normal salt water. For the sides we had greens, half cooked broccoli with some pees - without seasoning at all, and their famous smashed potato with a garlic sauce that again...salty as heck. All in one, this dinner cost me £190 (incl. 2 cocktails and a Coke Zero) and was truly a waste of money.

This has to be one of the worst services I have ever recieved from one girl in particular. She was so rude and made it so clear she did not want to assist in anything. It got so uncomfortable I paid my 200 pounds plus bill and left without eating the dessert I paid for - thankyou for making my sisters birthday a total drag.

An incredibly delicious kosher place with a fun atmosphere, not only for kosher observants. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful dining experience! I went with a group of 8 mates and they kindly reserved a large table for us. From the moment we walked in, it was an instant cool busy vibey atmosphere. I heard they recently changed their menu so was keen to get there asap. And boy did it impress. Their starters and salads are a delight. The cauliflower tartare was exquisite as was the aubergine carpaccio complimented by the delicious home made fresh lafa. The mains were super filling , hearty and delicious, most of us got the ribeye burger with foie gras! Everyone was very happy. 💯 Recommend. Jonny

Kosher restaurant. The portions are large and tasty. We liked the hummus, cauliflower salad and also the shawarma. The price is a bit high for food with cheap ingredients.

We now bought salads and hummus to take away. It was really infuriating to see that the portion of Babagnosh that was charged at full price turned out to be a sample the size of a takeaway salad dressing.

Went for dinner and was absolutely beautiful food. This is definitely somewhere where I would visit over and over again, as well as recommend to lots of people.

Atrocious service let down what could have been a lovely meal. We came as a group of four for dinner. To say the service was below par, would be an understatement. It began with our waitress spilling a bottle of fanta over me, and only got worse from there. The service was beyond slow. The restaurant was by no means overly busy, and yet each course took an age to arrive, while we saw other tables arrive after us get served first. After the main course, no one cleared the dishes or offered us a dessert menu. Eventually we asked for the bill and it took around 45 minutes and another two requests before the bill arrived - all the while, the person manning the till was taking selfies with his friends. Surprisingly, despite the compete lack of service and our complaints, the restaurant still had the cheek to add a service charge to the bill! When we asked to speak to the manager, we were informed that they had already left for the evening (during the middle of dinner service!). That very night, we emailed a complaint to the restaurant and, three weeks later, have still heard nothing back.

Me and my in-laws came in as we heard there’s a new menu, and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, service was great!

I recently visited a fantastic delicatessen with friends, and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. Everything we tried was extremely delicious, even the simple starters like hummus. The Moroccan pastilla and sinaia duck were spectacular, and the arayes were equally impressive. And these were just the starters! Make sure to come with an empty stomach and prepare to eat a lot because everything is too delicious to resist. Highly recommend!

A restaurant in an excellent location in the Hempstead neighborhood. We were and really enjoyed the delicious food! Everything is presented aesthetically. Pleasant atmosphere, courteous and excellent service. Everything is very clean and pleasing to the eye (including polished toilets). The restaurant is kosher and it is definitely excellent for those who are looking for it. Waiting to come again! Highly recommend .

Best lunch I've had in a long time. So so tasty and happy to eat kosher. Perfect service, very fresh food. Just exquisite. What a treat for me who lives in France and never get to eat kosher and israeli, at least in the city where I live. Bravo

We ate here last night and having previously gone to Delicatessen many times, we were very disappointed with how far they've let things slip. Starters took over 30 minutes to arrive (we were the only people in the restaurant), hot starters arrived cold and cold starters felt (and tasted) like they had been sitting in a fridge for hours. The slow cooked ribs tasted like they had been defrosted and the falafel was cold (to name but a few issues). Portion sizes have shrunk and prices have increased. If the food and service was up to scratch, it wouldn't be that bad. For 2 courses of what turned out to be very average food, it cost just shy of £200. Not worth it anymore unfortunately.

Went here for our anniversary and I was blown away by the quality of the food! truly superb and worth the long journey from East London

The food was great (the mixed grill for two is huge and feeds four to six in reality, if you have a starter first) and the service was quite good. Unfortunately it was fully booked and terribly noisy like so many restaurants that lack any sound deadening and a curtain by the front door to cut down on draughts would be welcome too.

Probably the most israeli tasty food in london! Only-ve : venue a bit small so can be a bit noisy or difficult to get larger table.. but food and service is very good ! Pricing wise, not the cheapest but at least you get what you pay for !

Upon our arrival and throughout the meal, our server was phenomenal as was the food. The awkward and humiliating part was the last part when my partner was about to finish her glass of wine. Another server started to stare at us multiple times inevitably making us feel uncomfortable and what started off great ended badly. He was aggressive and unreasonable. For the sake of 4mins, we left with a bad taste in our mouths. We were excited to revisit but sadly doubt we will return. The fact that when the second servers bad attitude and unprofessional manner was addressed that he acted innocent and suggested we could finish, unfortunately it was too late and the damage had been done. It was totally disgraceful treatment.

Wow Wow wow . A. The service from the beginning is warm and cordial and they really try to adapt the dish to you B. The meat was soft as butter. We ordered ribs and it was one of the things!! Even the first dishes were really nice. What does take a while for the main dish to arrive but they said in advance And it is really recommended to make a reservation Highly recommend

I have been to Delicatessen many times but tonight it was particularly good. The service seems to have improved tremendously and it was all quick, efficient and delicious. The manager, Joel was extremely helpful when anything was missing or if we required extra help and all round it was a fantastic and very tasty experience - perfect for a birthday celebration. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

The food is excellent. Really very good. However, I’ve been here several times and although the restaurant is expensive, they repeatedly rush us from the table /“—completely inexcusable. That said the food is excellent.

Wow. The food is terrific. I had this Bone Marrow Bread dish to start with.. Its enough for 2 people and it tasted amazing.. For the main course I went for the glazed Lamb Ribs.. I love lamb but this dish blew me away. Succulent meat on on this massive to, perfectly cooked and surrounded by amazing vegetable like crispy Kale. And then we went for a share for the deserts.. The Chocolate Souffle with Tahini Ice cream and forest fruit. Yes I have tell you, we ending up fighting over this shared desert. This meal was def in the top ten and being my birthday it really was a great experience

For the second time i ordered here and part of my order was wrong/missing. I called and they told me i had to go through Deliveroo. It has been impossible to get assistance from Deliveroo - i tried 6 times- so i have paid for food i never received z

Not only is the food delicious, but Harry is one of the kindest people you'll meet at a restaurant. If you are interested in great food backed by great people, you have come to the right place.

What a feast. Been years since we last Went. Went with the family for a celebratory meal, kids menu really impressed and great value. Rest of the menu was tasty, large portions and quality.

A nice little pearl with delicious kosher food. Many locals eat here, plus many tourists like us.

Most of the food was amazing, the Caramelised Lamb Spareribs however was a little dry.

Unfortunately my expectations were not met. The patty of the rib eye burger was very dry with unchewable pieces, although the pulled beef part was tasty. French fries were too fat. Overall the food (incl. other meals) was bland and not tasty at all. Service was quite slow although the staff was polite. I'm sorry, folks.

Had a big birthday party here. We basically got most things from the menu. They do some nice middle eastern/Israeli food here. If you want Kosher this is a good option in an area with not too many options. The service was great, friendly, and attentive. The food was quite good as well and we ended up with a lot of leftovers too!

Feel like I’m on holiday every time I go. Service is unrivalled, and the food unbelievably tasty. Staff really helpful. Consistently great time after time and the best place to take people too. Great food. Not so great service. I arrived and was told I could sit inside if I came back in an hour. I came back in an hour and was told they could only seat me outside, even though there were multiple empty tables throughout my stay that were never filled. I was a solo diner and my dinner came over an hour after I ordered.

The steak was amazing, and honestly everything we ordered was delicious.

Some initial confusion over our reservation caused me to behave like a total a'hole, but thankfully it was resolved ..amazing food, great staff. Thanks to Harry apologies to Rami who I yelled at ( not good behaviour on my part) and despite that was great.

They say it closes at 11 so we drove a half a hour to get there and we arrived 10 pm they didn't want to serve us, after a long wait he said we can order only burgers. We ordered desert, and what came looked like a huge jelly blob, and it tasted like rotten fish that was fermented for 80 years. That's how terrible it is.

We had lunch at this place. The food was tasty. My in-laws were very happy with the food. However, the burger from the main dish makes my partner diarrhoea and vomiting for two straight days so far. He is still very sick. This is outrageous. I hope the restaurant can see this review and check the burgers and maybe take it off the menu in case the other customers got food poisoning too.

Possibly the best meal I’ve ever had. DO make reservations as we had to eat outside because we didn’t, still worth it. Got the bread with bone marrow, carmelized lamb and osso bucco fettuccine. Exquisite!!!
