Personal amable y encantador que nos recibe a la llegada. Increíble selección de pasteles. El café era muy bueno. Gran ubicación en la calle tranquila con grandes ventanales para ver el mundo pasar.

Delicious tomato soup but would have preferred whole meal or seeded bread than plain white. Large selection of cakes, cake and latte were top notch. Overall a relaxed place to catch up with friends, and fairly priced, would definitely recommend!

The owner and staff tried their best and were super friendly with my kids. Gave them a free lollipop as well. Unfortunately that's about what the place has going on for it. The food I got was average at best...the pancakes my daughter got were super market ones reheated and dry with some spray can whipped cream...i mean crap like that shouldn't be served at all at a so called cafe...everything was way overpriced and the cherry on top was the bad smell...the whole place was smelly,the cutlery stunk of old dirty water... I'm surprised they're allowed to serve any type of food... they should start with a good clean and probably hire a cook cause those 2 have no idea of serving a professionally made dish of any kind

Vino a comer algo y fue recibido agradablemente por el personal. Nos tomó más de 10 minutos para que nuestro pedido fuera tomado, a pesar de ser solo una de las 4 mesas en, pero de nuevo el personal era amable cuando finalmente llegaron a nosotros. Sin embargo, esperamos durante 45 minutos dos simples pilas de brunch, una de las cuales enviamos de vuelta cuando encontramos un cabello negro largo en ella. Lamentablemente el personal no ofreció disculpas y tuvimos que pedir que se retirara de la factura. Preguntaron si queríamos rehacer el plato, pero en este punto el café estaba más ocupado y no podíamos esperar media hora más para que saliera. Si bien podemos apreciar los errores que ocurren, la larga espera para el servicio y la falta de reconocimiento de su culpa nos ha pospuesto el regreso.

We ordered two espressos, one of them was the size of an Americano. When I asked if these were two espressos, they said yes. I ordered some water, and after drinking a glass looked at the bottle of water more closely. There was actual grime inside the bottle, I made sure by putting my finger in the bottle to see if would come off. It did. There was also fluff and what looked like a small hair. When I went back to tell the staff the bottle was really dirty, they gave a quick apology and billed me for the coffees. Coffees were on the higher end price compared to other local cafes with much higher hygiene standards.The coffees also didn't taste great. Will never come back or recommend! Sorry guys xoxo

I just visited the Deli Zola cafe & bar today. I am suprised that hygiene inspection hasn't pointed out issues with cleaning standard in the all areas, there is BIG room for improvement of cleaning standard. Dust was everywhere including tables where serving the food, everything looks very untidy, sticky and filthy. The toilet bowl was covered in old brown stains, all the toilet area was very dark and also unpleasant very strongly smells of urine. I just don't want thinking about how look there kitchen areas. The owner of this place should often check the areas and make the improvements in the future. I felt embarrassed to take there my family members. I am suprised that more visitors do not complain about this. Unfortunately I will not be back in the future and never will recommend this filthy coffee shop.

Service was good as was food. Had bacon and red onion chutney focaccia roll and Sourdough black pudding, poached egg chorizo and pastrami stack and 1 cappuccino/americano coffees but a bit expensive as £26.20p for this. Also as it was early, around 10am it was quiet so not much atmosphere in the place.

Charged £2.50 for a Cup of hot water. We did order food. When we questioned why they charge for hot wate we were told its always been the case. Will not be back.

Looking for a Sunday cafe lunch in the area and looked down Skirving Street. Dropped in, friendly welcome and shown to a booth. Place was quite busy, with a nice chatty atmosphere and good music in the background. Menus provided and our orders quickly taken. I chose the stack, waitress apologised they had no black pudding left, but offered anything on the menu as an alternative for that part of the stack. Our food came, freshly prepared and well presented. The stack was amazing. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Well worth a visit.

I'm afraid that, even in this day and age, £14 for a toastie in Shawlands is an absolute joke. Why would anyone in their right mind want to pay that for something they could probably make better themselves?

This has instantly become a must visit when I'm in Shawlands. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee was perfect and the coconut and raspberry cake was absolutely amazing! Bellissima!

I have a lovely trip to Deli Zola for brunch with my boyfriend. We were welcomed by a lovely member of staff who showed us to our table. The menu is very good with plenty of vegetarian options. I had the full breakfast which was delicious and great value for money. I really recommend visiting here!

Warm welcoming cafe, with the best coffee in Glasgow. Recently refurbished it has managed to retain the cosy atmosphere. Recommend a visit to taste the new menu.

Popped in for a takeaway soup. Had to wait til it got heated up. Small cup of soup £7 to take away. Even by Shawlands standards a bit over priced

Good location and outdoor seating, but a little expensive compared overall to the high standard of places on its doorstep.

Really nice staff, nice vibe & good menu choice. The falaffel bagel was okay, but I feel overpriced & it didn’t have the most pleases taste - it was overloaded with rocket. I would have liked something more, like a sweet chilli sauce & grilled Mediterranean vegetables rather than salad vegetables. I’d like to come back, but I was disappointed this time. Thanks, Alex

Heavily Overpriced. Slow service, coffee not the best either. Would not return. Seen much nicer looking establishments further down after leaving and wish we had selected one of these instead.

This cafe feels a bit outdated, the menu is quite broad and the food was a bit subpar - I ordered a sandwich with vegetarian square sausage and egg and there was way too much sausage and dry bread compared to everything else.

Not been for years, used to love this wee place, not sure if it changed hands but I was unwelcome by the rude staff member referred to below. Place was empty - was told I could not stay and do some emails on my laptop as it’s ‘laptop’ free?! Fair enough but maybe advertise that? Deliver the message in a more friendly way so not to put off customers completely? If you want to stop people using laptop because it’s not the vibe then maybe apply the same to your one table who was sitting on their phone. A shame really but more than a Enough better and more welcoming places to choose from. Will not be back and will recommend anywhere but here.

Got a lovely coffee here so went back for breakfast. Was not disappointed. The French Toast is delicious. Nice vibes and really friendly staff.

Made to feel very unwelcome by young female staff member. Don’t want to go back despite being a customer for years. Unpleasant and upsetting. Raised the issue and was ignored.

Quirky little cafe. Quite cozy. Eclectic mix of people. Food ok but could be better. An extractor fan is very much needed. We left smelling like a chip shop. Two sandwiches and two coffees, £21.00.

First time visiting and won't be back, prices are higher that other eateries in the area and there is no justification for this as the service was slow (staff stood chatting whilst I waited to be served, must have been something interesting as it was a long conversation), upon the foods arrival it was not well cooked (I'm no chef and can rustle up better than this) and I ended up leaving most of it as by that time I'd been there over 40 minutes and a "quick bite" this was not, and I was in a hurry to go. Not the cleanest of places either, cutlery was dirty and I had to ask for a clean fork. There are so many places locally that for this price you could get much better. Having read other reviews I can see I am not alone in this opinion.

My favourite place for coffee /food & most of all the warm welcome & chat. Dog friendly with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of food and cakes, great coffee!!! Goats cheese salad is one of my favourites but anything I’ve tried is great.

Lovely cafe and staff were so accommodating. We had two young children with us and they got us a high chair and a lovely spacious table. Food came quickly and was delicious.

When we arrived the owner, (I presume) pointed to a table in an offhand manner. My toddler and I waited to be offered a menu while the owner and another staff member chatted by the crepe machine. When I noticed a large group who came in after us getting served, I went up to the staff at the crepe machine to explain what had happened. One staff member said she’d just started her shift, accused me of being rude and said ‘it’s a family day ‘. The staff member/owner , who had pointed to the table when I arrived said the menus are by the door (which I wasn’t told on arrival) and that I was waiting for a friend, as if this was a reason not to get served. Their manner was extremely rude and confrontational. I left with my 3 year old feeling absolutely stunned. I will not be returning.

This afternoon my wife and I popped in to this quaint deli for lunch. The menu has a fair range on offer. Staff were attentive and the food was tasty. Overall reasonably priced with god service.

I had a toasted sourdough sandwich with rocket, pine nuts, sundried tomatoes and vegan mayonnnaise, plus a pot of tea for one: £12.95 which I think is overpriced. Having visited this cafe once before, I found the atmosphere had changed for the worse as well as the prices and would not recommend it for vegan food.

Sat outside in the glorious spring sunshine. Decent vegan selection, attentive service and a welcome with water for my dog. Lots of choice in the area and I can't compare, this was my first visit but great first choice!

This is a perfect place for Tete-a -Tete, breakfast, brunch, lunch etc Great food in an intimate atmosphere where good conversation is possible and can be heard. There is a terrific range of gourmet sandwiches to suit every taste. Today i had an ample portion of scrambled egg and bacon on sourdough with side salad washed down with flat white coffee fpllo3 by a soda water and lime all for £12.50. Good value indeed Staff are really nice and friendly and service is prompt. Situated on Skirving St. Shawlands this place is most certainly worth a try.

Very poor attitude from tall blonde waitress. Asked for extra hot coffees and sweetners - told no sweetners just sugar - pretty poor for diabetics. We were then given luke warm coffees and waitress refused to heat up!! Said that was as hot as she can make them!! Been here a few times before but won't be back.

This is one of the best eateries in Shawlands. It's exeptionally unique in the continental twist that differentiates it from other cafes in Shawlands. There is great outdoor seating. The coffee is good and has improved over the years. I had one today and it was super smooth. The staff are always really nice and helpful and the proportions always generous. It's important to mention the produce. The sandwiches are always great; I have never got a stale baguette or limp salad from Deli Zola. The produce is always fresh. There are a few places in Shawlands were the bread has maybe stayed a little longer than necessary but not here. Should you be going to Shawlands for lunch and a natter, Deli Zola is perfect.

Located in the south side of Glasgow, I was attending a Euro 2020 match at Hampden Park, and decided to go for a pre-match brunch in Deli Zola beforehand. Tucked away just off Kilmarnock Road, its a great little family Italian bistro, where you will get a really warm and inviting welcome. Great menu with everything prepared fresh for you. I had the club bagel and a coffee, and both were really delicious. Will 100% be back here again in future.

It was such a WONDERFUL experience! Total recommend, me and my partner walked in very queer presenting and the two members of staff made us feel so welcomed! Such a beautiful vibe, and the food OMG. I ended up having a made up off the menu options and it was just incredibly delish. Loved it 🌹

We didn't go inside so I've no idea if they sell things in the way a regular deli does, but I presume so! However, the café element is well done with a variety of (mostly) bread products on offer with a variety of fillings. I had a brie and bacon baguette, with red onion chutney, that was simply perfect. The sort of thing I might tire of if I had it everyday, but once in a while - just stunning. The hot chocolate came with a stirrer stick to add your own chocolate to it, which was whimsically pleasing. Decent service when we required it, and out of the way when we didn't. Tables outside to enjoy the Scottish sunshine and chat with passers. Lovely!

Popped in with my friend for a coffee and we were completely ignored. I understand staff can be busy but a simple “hello” or “I’ll be with you in a second” wouldn’t do any harm. Ps. It wasn’t busy. Staff extremely rude, especially a lady with a blonde bob. I was astonished how rude she was just taking our order huffing and puffing. Literally no food, no complaints, nothing to argue about, almost like she was annoyed that we were there. Before you say anything I worked in hospitality for years from waiting staff to management and can’t imagine treating a customer like this. And I have to say being this angry and rude and not being able to hide this behind a mask is a quite a skill. Won’t be returning. These are tough times, yes I know customer “isn’t always right” but being civil and simply polite is normal not something extraordinary. I watched this lady speaking with other customers, absolutely appalling. If that’s the owner - you are losing customers acting like this and almost every second review is about staff. If that’s your staff it’s maybe time to have a word with them. Everyone is allowed to have a “bad day” but this is a different level of rudeness. I couldn’t wait to leave. A real shame!

I frequently visit deli zola for breakfast I have always found the staff friendly efficient & always welcome my little dog with treats & drinks Having read some of the negative reviews I am very surprised as have never encountered any issues Unfortunately I have been unable to visit recently but look forward to visiting again soon

Tuvimos un almuerzo encantador recientemente, pero el café estaba muy ocupado y caótico y muy difícil de distanciar social. Ningún personal usó máscaras (usted dice que no es obligatorio), no se tomaron datos de contacto (usted dice que no es necesario para la costumbre externa, pero me han preguntado en todos los demás lugares externos que he visitado). Muchos restaurantes hacen todo lo posible para garantizar la seguridad, incluso cuando no es obligatorio. Tuve que hacer 2 viajes al interior: para ordenar y luego pagar y los menús se mostraban encima de las tablas, así que necesitaba acercarme a la gente para leerlos. La comida era deliciosa, pero nos fuimos inmediatamente después de nuestro almuerzo sin sentirnos cómodos.

Nada que ver con el estilo de café francés que intentan copiar. El lugar no está limpio, el personal, especialmente la señorita que toma órdenes, no es amigable e incluso grosero. Muy decepcionado. Nunca volveré.

Uno de los primeros lugares en los que estuve después del cierre y mientras que otros cafés en el área claramente estaban tomando precauciones de seguridad, no había ninguna evidencia aquí. La camarera no llevaba mascarilla ni visera e incluso acariciaba al perro de un cliente antes de volver a manipular la comida. No volveré.

Was so pleased to be here today. With a limited menu and seating Deli Zola had a friendly and welcoming environment. The rosemary focaccia with honey peppered bacon was immense and couldn't recommend enough. Good coffee too. All in all glad to have come along.

A friend told me of this place and having been on today, I'll definitely be back. As I'm gluten free, it's always difficult for me to get a lot of choice, but there were gf bread options which was great. Had a lovely brie and ham sandwich. Look forward to going back and trying the cakes ☺️

A wee find. There is a lot of competition in this Street and in the southside, but this is actually different. It's licenced. Yes. So that lifts it over the rest of the cafés. But it's not pubby, this is not the Tassie, Granary, or the Spoons. Genuine continental café culture. Seats and wee tables on the sun trap pavement outside. Booths inside. Food pretty good, and surprisingly reasonable too. Good menu. Really nice vibe. You have to get up and order, but after that it's normal waiting service. Free WiFi. Nice pictures and stuff to look at, good for people watching outside. Music nice and cheesy. Has obvious regulars. The staff shout goodbye. Relax and have brunch. This place welcomes dogs and children. Would recommend but with great reluctance as it should really be my secret.

Deli Zola is a locals’ favourite in the South Side - but still retains the charm of a well kept secret. With bagels like these, specially sourced wines and beers like those, and friendly, attentive and informed service, who can be surprised. Highly recommended. (Oh, and ask for Victoria - a staple of the Shawlands café scene for the last few years. Superb.)

Siempre una cálida bienvenida en este acogedor bolthole continental en el corazón de Shawlands. Estamos dispuestos a ver a la familia varias veces al año y siempre hacemos tiempo para visitar este fabuloso café. Los desayunos y almuerzos son de gran calidad, el café es nuestra bebida habitual, pero se sabe que participan en la extraña cerveza / copa de vino más tarde en el día.Esperamos un verano soleado para que podamos sentarnos afuera y disfrutar del bullicio.

Buen ambiente a este lugar. Tengo una especie de café / bistró francés. Servicio relajado y agradable. La comida era buena y buen precio. Fuimos aquí en lugar de lugares habituales de Shawlands como "cerveza extraña", ya que queríamos probar algo nuevo. Es donde solía estar la escena de frijoles, un poco fuera del arrastre principal, pero aún visible. Me recordó mucho a un café parisino con algunos fayre similares también. Crocque Madame, etc. Volvería a probar otros elementos del menú. Bagels grandes bien rellenos y recomendados.No estoy seguro de que sirvan alcohol, así que tal vez no sea un bistro: me han pillado antes con esas definiciones de "café vs bistro", así que no me he comprometido; )
