I will not be back. I have said this several time before but today was the last straw unless I hear of good reviews. Lunch time today 12.45. One very pleasant young chap on his own behind the counter doing his best but could have done with help. Tables all over the place full of dishes and unclean floor. Also, scones very hard as I have experienced previously before, breaking up into crumbs when trying to cut them open prior to butter them with plastic knives. Management needs to take a serious look at these issues and more as I think that the whole food counter needs to be reviewed to make it more attractive and hygienic looking for customers. Bangor disappointed Visitor.

Ignorant, gossiping staff who don't seem to know the meaning of customer service. Very sad that they bring down the good name of Debenhams. I won't be shopping or eating here again.

Cup of tea and a croissant served by a funny and engaging member of staff. Very pleasant and reasonable price. If you get a seat by the window you can watch the world go by.

Generally go here for coffee when visiting the big smoke -food offering is reasonably comprehensive and prices are par for the course in Belfast however spped of queue when there is one at times can be abysmally slow -this generally depends on who is on the counter - if it is the big guy then things more quickly but if he is n't on then it can be very slow however having said that it is not bad for a snack

On the top floor with an unexpected beautiful view of the city and river. Make sure you sit where you can enjoy the view. Very clean and not overcrowded the day we visited for lunch. Convenient location. Attentive service. Very good, fresh ingredients for lunch while shopping or just in the area.

9.05am Tuesday first americano and raisin swirl ordered by their first customer of the day. The raisin swirl was so fresh it was mouthwatering and the coffee absolutely excellent. All served by Connie with a great big smile. This girl could teach a few so called coffee houses a thing or two. What a way to start the day. Missing this is your loss.

Still trying to work out why Debenham’s Restaurant in Belfast had to close before 5pm on Tuesday evening last when the store closing time was 6-30pm?? This needs to be sorted out. I feel this coffee shop/restaurant is long overdue an upgrade and this might increase the demand and meet customer requirements.

Was in Debenhams yesterday and as it was around 1 ish decided to have lunch there. I ordered a Panini and tea. The girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I took my tea and had a seat and waited for around 10 minutes. Another girl came out with my Panini which also had a small side salad and crisps. She apologised for the delay (which I had thought was acceptable anyway) and even asked if my tea was ok as I had had to wait for the meal. I thought that was very good as I have been in other places where it would not have occurred to the staff to ask that. My tea was ok anyway. The Panini was tasty and in my opinion pricewise in line with a lot of other establishments in Belfast. I would certainly visit again for lunch or even a cuppa and traybake as they looked nice too. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Having been in many Debenhams restaurants in the UK it was nice to visit the Belfast branch. You notice intially how polite the staff are, courteous and happy, old to young. The restaurant was clean, pleasant, quiet, slightly away from the main store front, but within the travel section. We had breakfast, scrambled egg and poached egg, both cooked very well, and presented very tastefully. Extremely enjoyable.

We called in here for a light lunch. Although busy, there were tables available. My wife chose the baked potato with chili, nachos, guacamole and sour cream. I had a chicken sandwich with additional items such as guacamole, corn and peppers. The sandwich was freshly prepared and had plenty of filling. The baked potato was hot and the chili was nicely spicy. The mug of coffee was excellent. It's not the cheapest place for lunch, but worth the extra expense.

Stopped off here today after shopping. Dont think I will return and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. My friend ordered glass of milk and a scone. The scone was so hard you could have played ball with it and she was told only kids get glasses of milk. She doesnt drink tea or coffee. I ordered a traybake and tea. The tray bake came on a plate that was half washed and instead of a pot of tea it was a mug of hot water with a teabag in it. There are plenty of other places and much cheaper.

I visited this 'restaurant' today and ordered a coffee for myself and requested a pot of cold water to cool my baby's bottle in. I was refused the cold water and told it was 'new policy'. I was told that I could request a glass of water for me to drink as long as I did not mention the word 'baby' - which I did, however my baby's bottle would not fit in the glass to cool it down. When I asked for a larger beaker to transfer the cold water into I was told "no". This restaurant is not family friendly and goes against the HSC Public Health Agency recommendations regarding the safest way to make a baby's bottle when out and about which is to use a flask of boiled water and cool to the appropriate temperature.

Visited here today for quick bite. Went early to avoid queue. Stood for 20 minutes waiting for breakfast croissant and pot of tea. No clean teapot so given cup of hot water and a teabag. Till operator not very friendly. Sat at uncleaned table and waited a further 20 minutes for my croissant by which time my tea was cold. The croissant would have been quite tasty but it was served cold. In spite of being a debenham,s card holder and therefore entitled to free tea or coffee I will never be back to this cafe. I felt like telling the rest of the poor unsuspecting people waiting not to bother.

Can't believe that on such a busy afternoon the staffing was so short that they couldn't even deal with a couple of simple soup orders. Expected waiting time at least 15 minutes after queueing over 30. I don't think so!

Stopped here for a bite to eat yesterday while shopping. Although the young man serving us at the counter was nice and the roulade dessert was lovely the girl serving us our food didnt even speak to us when she brought us down to our table, not even a hello . She just plonked it on the table and walked away stern faced. Also the strawberry shakes were tasteless. Bit pricey too. We wont be back in a hurry

Visited here whilst on a trip with my Mum. No atmosphere and staff not very friendly. Plastic glasses for soft drinks. I got a plain scone and it was so dry and tasteless. I asked for extra butter and was charged 10p. I advise you try Treat Boutique if you fancy a cuppa and scone. Very disappointing!

Dropped in here for a quick bite with my wife while on a shopping trip. "Quick"? That's a joke. As I stood and whiled away my life in the queue I observed the staff. Nobody appeared to know what their role was. I nearly felt sorry for the manageress as she tried, in vain at times, to give direction to a clearly unmotivated, disinterested group of young people - I lost count of them because they kept disappearing into a room at the back. The choice of food was limited and highly overpriced. Three strawberries in a little plastic tub for 75p. Scones at £1.75. Little pat of butter 10p. etc. 1 x tea. 1 x Americano. 2 x scones = £7.45. AND the scones were dry and practically inedible. Will I be back. No chance. Will I tell others not to go and spend their hard-earned money here, where it is not appreciated. I certainly will.
