Broken Shaker in Belfast

Got SHOVED and told to “F OFF all because I questioned whether a male bouncer should be in female toilets shouting at girls by himself. Bouncer did not to take that well and this is what I got for questioning it. Bouncers are meant to make you feel safe not intimidated and certainly not shoved as you walk out of a place. DO NOT go to this place. Get ready to feel on edge and uncomfortable from the get go

. No seats poor music and acoustics. Toilets not clean

Unless your wearing fake tan, (and thats just the fellas) i could go on, don't even bother showing up at the door, such a fake place, made in Chelsea. Minus 10 stars if i could give it.

Was booked for my 21st to be told at the door it was over 23’s, we hadn’t been told this when we booked it and we’re laughed at by the security men saying “sure it’s all over our social media.” Bearing in mind my twin sister (also her 21st) was allowed in just 5 mins before me and the rest of the group. The security on the door turned us away and proceeded to be nasty and ignorant this then turned into a physical encounter. My 2 friends were kicked and punched by 3 security men on the door, it was that bad that people from the bar came running out to help. Would definitely avoid it your looking to have a good night out.

Went out on sat night with two friends from Londonderry and friend from Brazil visiting Belfast. The door security extremely cheeky and ignorant, no manners at all. Absolutely no need to speak with anyone like they did. Safe to say I will never ever be near the place ever again.

Doesn't even deserve the one star but its the only way I can post here as I'm very angry as to what my daughter has told me the way she was spoken to by your aragon door staff including her friend who was reduced to tears theses young girls give custom here theres no need for the attitude from your door staff im pretty sure they would nt like their own children being verbally abused by such creightons

He asked for name of booking to get giving a table 20 minutes later he comes over to tell us he had given us the wrong table. So I asked in a calm manner what was he going to do about it (with current restrictions you are not allowed to stand in a nightclub you must be seated and no tables free) It was obvious that he didn't have anywhere to put us! His reply was out the door with that attitude!! Because I asked a question knowing he had nowhere to put us! Rude individual with no organisation skills who cant even read names from a clipboard. Definitely not fit for this role of work! The same host previously couldn't even take a drinks order because he had one to many. New staff needed or some serious training. I definitely wont be back.

Welcoming and friendly staff with a great atmosphere

50 minutes and four attempts to order one round of drinks. Waitress did apologize but was still really bad service.

Enjoyed a few drinks and live music here during summer 2021. Covid measures were in place but very well organised with friendly bouncers showing us to our seats and good table service.

First visit to this place. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff

DO NOT GO! Doesn't even deserve 1 star! Arrogant staff who all have attitude problems. Tried to overcharge our party and don't serve advertised drinks.

This place was disgraceful! From the bouncers at the door to the manager & the bar staff, everyone was so rude & unprofessional. The food was disgusting and so over priced plus you were scolded for dancing IN YOUR SEAT!! Would honestly never go back, the staffs attitude was appalling but the food was worse! AVOID!

We had a booking last weekend and were treated like lepers from the minute we arrived. Unless your 16 with hair down to your arse and a dress you’d need a magnifying glass to see, I wouldn’t bother going within a country mile of this place. The experience began with the ignorant looks and attitude given to us by the bouncers at the door despite our booking. We were a large group all buying cocktails and food but yet the service was abysmal.. one particular waitress was nothing short of aggressive and dumped our bill on the table before everyone had even gotten their food. Avoid at all costs!!

Absolutely disgraceful service from the ‘manager’ and waitress. Served us food with consisted of crisps for a £10 which was meant to be nachos, made us pay before we even ate our food. Would not be back!!!

Absolutely disgraceful... Treated us like we were an inconvenience... Charged 10 pounds for a plate of crisps and called them nachos... Asked to speak to the manager and he had such an attitude... Even though there was 10 of us all buying cocktails and food.. Waitress was so rude... Will never be back.. Save yourself the stress. Kip!!!!!

Spent a weekend in Belfast, found the broken shaker on the Friday and loved it so much we went back the next day! The only place that didn’t laugh us away as a group of 10 without a reservation and went out of their way to accommodate us, bouncers were lovely, can’t thank the manager, Marty, enough, he couldn’t have been nicer to us! The cocktails were also amazing -thanks to our barman Mícheál Can’t recommend enough 10/10

Don't even think this receives 1 star? Door staff are appalling. Young women was thrown out due to being drugged in this place and just left outside? Myself and 3 friends helped her get a taxi home as she was in no fit state to even lift her head. We was refused entry as was being - 'cheeky' and had too drunk to get in. Shame we had so many recommendations to come here or wouldn't have wasted our time to come here. A group of 11 of us was over at Belfast for the weekend for hen partt. Shame you was ao rude, sort out the problem

This place is a joke!!! Me and 3 others were refused entry even though we was all sober!! We witnessed the bouncers throwing a girl out because and leaving her on the street in freezing conditions with no one and no jacket!! Absolute joke of a place!!!

Glorious cocktails and a great vibe

After having food in the rusty saddle my friends and I wanted to try this place..Got to the door and obviously are faces didn't fit as we were told why dont go we go next door for a drink..I asked him why? He then proceeded to go "what" to my friend, and when she answered him he was like shes drunk..go next door! Ive never met someone so rude!! On top of that he turned another group of guys away because of their trainers but let his "mates" who greeted him with a hug in who were also wearing trainers..I questioned this and he said.."different trainers" Maybe a suggestion for this place is look into door store being retrained as how they speak to people!! And it seems one rule for some and another for others!! Depending what you like like!! I was furious!..in the end We ended up in Cuba de Revolution...no problem with getting in and having an amazing night!! Would recommend there!!.

Been a few times. Decor is poor, prices are high and the staff dont have a clue. Door staff are probably the worst I've seen when it comes to professionalism. Avoid at all costs.

Didnt know this place existed until my other half spied it while we were in Belfast last weekend...we usually go to the Rusty Saddle down below and wish we had of instead of here. Waited ages to be served and when asked for a cocktail menu we were told there only was one menu for whole bar...finally decided what we wanted to drink and i ordered my fav..pina colada....ive honestly never tasted anything as vile in my life..it was slush and tasted revolting....at almost a tenner a cocktail it was a rip off....the cocktail menu stated 2 for 1 cocktails but the bar girl informed us that the offer no longer is valid!! Decor is nice and staff were friendly enough but i wont be back and would advise anyone to avoid this place at all costs!!

A nice night out with good prices and decent music, with staff who are always friendly and accommodating. The Christmas cocktail menu in particular is very impressive with a good variety of drinks to suit everyone’s taste. My friends and I were served by Thomas who was both hospitable and very pleasant to speak to.

Nice decor and seating area. Lovely cocktails but depends who is making it. So no consistency. Music is the worst. Its super loud,, so You cant even have a decent conversation. Not only its loud but also a very bad selection of songs. Cheap R&B, 2000’s throwbacks. For such a nice looking bar i could imagine something like more housy, to keep atmosphere in but not screaming loud. Bouncers are the Worst part. Ive never been refused. But the way they treat you.. no greeting. Once u try to get in they would just block whole entrance look you down and ask your Id with no please or no thank you. Never coming there again. Although im 31 . So not sure why my id needs checked.

We went for my best friends birthday and it was a great night! They don’t fill the place to capacity so no pushing through crowds or waiting ages for a drink! Lovely boy working behind the bar called Cameron was very efficient and looked after us very well! He was lovely!! Will be going again!

We visited the broken shaker for a few cocktails on Saturday and were very surprised how much nicer it is inside compared to when it was the Washington. It isnt overly expensive and has a nice atmosphere. I would return.

Whilst being very busy, the place is not over crowded, plenty of people enjoying their night on the dance floor! Met a young chap attending the toilets name IK who was one of the nicest human beings I've ever spoken with, a chap behind the ground floor bar mixed a drink like a trained professional! My overall experience of the place was very enjoyable, whilst I may not have lost my umbrella, I believe if I had, it would have been delt with in a professional manor!
