Debenhams Restaurant in Eastbourne

Caminando por Debenhams hoy con una abrumadora sensación de tristeza invadiéndome. El personal una vez feliz y sonriente mostraba una cara valiente, aunque era fácil ver que se sentían perdidos ya que todo estaba desnudo. Los mostradores de maquillaje, una vez relucientes, estaban despojados y las hebras de perfume a su alrededor eran inexistentes. Los recuerdos de que mi madre la arrastraba por la tienda después de la escuela volvieron inundando, comprando ropa de bebé, ropa de vacaciones y viniendo a desayunar y viendo a la feliz dama irlandesa que servía detrás del mostrador, ahora parecía un recuerdo lejano. Por decir lo menos decir adiós a esta tienda no es solo decir adiós a los ladrillos, sino que marca el final de una era, una caja de recuerdos y el corazón de nuestro centro de la ciudad. Lamento que las cosas se hayan puesto en este estado desesperado, lo siento mucho por el personal y les deseo todo lo mejor.

Lamentablemente, Debenhams cerrará sus puertas pronto al igual que el destino de C&A, BHS, Littlewoods y los otros dos grandes fanáticos cerca del paseo marítimo. Esta tienda por departamentos ha estado sirviendo a Eastbourne desde que no sé cuándo. Cuando vas a la tienda, te reciben todos estos olores de perfume en el primer piso. En el segundo piso hay un restaurante donde se sirve toda la comida deliciosa. De todos modos, triste verlo ir.

pedimos una taza de té cuando compramos aquí y nos dieron 2 pequeñas tazas de té y una jarra de leche que disfrutamos mientras nos gusta el té, es un pequeño café y un agradable descanso para tomar una copa también puede obtener algo de comer si lo deseas

Die Scones sind sehr lecker und das Personal war freundlich. Der Milchkaffee schmeckte leider als hätte die Milch nur mal in der Nähe einer Kaffeemaschine gestanden. Und die Atmosphäre war leider schrecklich. Die Stühle so dreckig dass ich mich ungern in kurzer Hose drauf setzen wollte. Passt überhaupt nicht zum restlichen Ambiente des Hauses- welches ich sehr ansprechend finde.

Estábamos desesperados por una taza de té después de haber caminado un rato. ¿Nunca esperábamos tener tan estofado? ? té caro El ambiente era abismal, y había una música ruidosa terrible. El personal parecía aburrido hasta las lágrimas.

Visited Debenhams restaurant on Saturday. My Husband decided to have a Pie this was £5.95 (just for the pie) Veg was at an extra cost.... I looked and the menu and thought I would try the Mac and Cheese but, at £7.25 NO CHANCE.... I understand they have overheads but really.... My husband did not enjoy the pie....The coffee was weak and my pot of tea was cold...I love shopping at Debenhams but will never go to their restaurant again....I will walk further and find a more congenial place to eat.

We went in to Debenhams to do some shopping and thought we would have a coffee and snack first. We ordered a cheese scone and fruit scone each plus a coffee and cappuccino. The coffee and cappuccino were very nice but sadly the cheese scone did not taste at all nice and I only ate one half. The fruit scone was however very nice with butter and jam. We also ordered a minty slice which wasn't very nice either, hardly minty at all. This was all very disappointing as it is rather hit and miss as to the quality of the food. Also the trays were all very sticky and had not been wiped properly and tables were slow to be cleared although it wasn't all that busy. Shame as the restaurant is very nice and spacious with tables overlooking the town and staff were pleasant and helpful.

I've eaten here many times over the years and always found it very good. I recently discovered they do a toastie, that is kept in the fridge and you take it and hand it in to be cooked. You pay first and then it's brought to your table. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, I've never had a problem with any of them. It's always clean too. If you have a Debenham's credit card, use it to pay for your food as you get an extra 10% off. It's a very large restaurant and it is always easy to find a seat.

I came here for a quiet coffee and some buttered toast and jam for breakfast. It was the first day that the lovely summer weather had turned cold and it was raining heavily too. The first thing that disturbed me was when the older gentleman took my sliced bread out of the packet with his bare hands which I thought was bad practice as he was also working the till and the coffee machines. The older lady on the till was unfriendly and brusque. When I sat down my table needed wiping down from the last customer but I just made do and put my tray over the sticky patches. I soon noticed that the air-con unit nearby was blowing out a freezing cold draught towards me. I went and asked the older lady if she could possibly turn it down. She barely looked up at me and quickly replied “it’s like that because of the hot weather”. I reminded her that it was no longer hot outside but she just replied “I’ll have to ask someone”. After 5 more minutes I went to remind her and she snapped back at me “I’ve asked them”. After another 5 minutes I got fed up being cold so I asked the older gentleman and all he could say was “I think she’s asked someone”. There was zero friendliness or concern shown and I realised that clearly nothing was going to be done in a hurry, so I gave up and moved seats where it was marginally less breezy. Consequently my coffee went cold very quickly. I wouldn’t come back again, the atmosphere is far too frosty in all respects!! It’s a shame because apart from some uncleared tables, it seemed quite clean and spacious in there. Customer care courses urgently needed here please!!
