Super cool place, excellent service and everything else. Top end prices in a top location.

We came here for summer lunch, sat outside. Their terrace is great, cosy on a busy street yet tucked away behind plants . We have bean tomato soup, fish and chips and monkfish prawn curry and avocado lettuce salad. Delicious

Vibrant atmosphere and delicious food to compliment.

We stayed in the Bigger Room at Dean Street Townhouse and absolutely loved it. The four-poster bed was incredibly comfortable, and the freestanding bathtub in the middle of the room was a real treat—such a unique touch. The space felt both elegant and cosy, with loads of character. Staff were warm and helpful, and the location couldn’t be better for exploring Soho. A perfect spot.

I used to be a regular client, I haven’t been in a while, so i decided to pop up the other day with some friends! The staff is all new, and to be frank, the new staff at the bar is terrible, the guy was cold like a stone, taking orders looked like he was doing us a favour. Nothing compared to what it used to be with Gennaro, Guido, Alberto etc! I was in soho for work today, i popped in alone for a quick drink at the bar, the guy at the door stopped me, Sir where are you going? At the bar…no no sir, wait…speak with the lady at the reception….the lady was too busy on the phone, completely ignoring me, after waiting for 3-4 minutes i just walked away. Terrible customer service. That’s last time they see me, and I was regular there, pity to see how such a nice place with good vibes turned into worse than an average bar

The food and cocktails are excellent. The duck is the best I’ve had. But by far, what made the experience outstanding was the service. In order of appearance Nitai, Anastasia, Natasha, Ridas, and Omar made and excellent experience outstanding. Thank you 🥰

We went for afternoon tea and it was wonderful! The sandwiches were fresh and high quality, and we especially loved the scones. I can’t say the same for the desserts, but they were still tasty. The tea was also of good quality. Both the ambiance and the staff were excellent. If you’re looking for a good afternoon tea experience in London, I highly recommend it!

Best townhouse on Dean Street. Very good for brunch and even just coffee. Great interior.

We stayed at the Dean Street Townhouse in early April 2025 for about 5 days and absolutely loved it. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of SoHo but out of the bar fray by about a block, right next to the subway line that takes you to Heathrow. We found that this location was in the middle of everything we wanted to do - in SoHo, easy bike or walk or subway to Mayfair, St James, theatres and the City. The SoHo club up the street is fantastic as are the restaurants within a block. We loved coming back home - the staff were wonderful and very helpful with recommendations. They also took great pains to get us into our room early when our flight got us there long before check in. The room was excellent - great bed, all the things like chargers that you need, and the most incredible amazing shower I’ve ever had in a hotel. London is great regardless but have to say that staying here would be a big decider in coming back to London again soon. Mi estancia en Londres no sería 100% sin desayunar aquí. Siempre vuelvo. El lugar es impresionante, exactamente lo que mi idea de un lugar perfecto es. Hacen el mejor kedgeree. No muchos lugares lo tienen en su menú para empezar, así que es bastante impresionante. El servicio siempre es impecable. Hasta la próxima.

Went on a Wednesday mid afternoon to meet a friend I haven’t seen in a long time. We were seated in the lounge alcove area with a crackling fireplace where we ordered afternoon tea. The ambiance was superb, the service was warm and attentive. It was quiet around that time too, which was nice. Great experience and meeting place to catch up over some hot drinks and nibbles.

I only used the restaurant. Four of us made a reservation for lunch, and although it was empty around 12:00, it gradually became crowded. However, most of the customers were gentle and the atmosphere was pleasant. It's better to make a reservation as it gets gradually crowded. The menu is British cuisine, and everything we ordered was delicious. I also ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I shared it. It was a good amount for everyone to eat. Since this is the place where Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan dined, I think you can't go wrong no matter what you order. The dress code isn't strict, but the people around me were wearing smart casual clothes, so it's best to avoid wearing dirty sneakers. There are also some terrace seats, so you can eat outside.

El servicio fue increíble y le comenté al gerente, Dionisis (que era el hombre más encantador) sobre lo bien dirigido que estaba y qué buen trabajo que estaba haciendo. I came here for a Sunday roast and every part of it was amazing. The service was exemplary, they were very attentative and welcoming. The ambience and decor was very upmarket. The food was equally as good. I opted for a 2 course meal with my roast. Steak tartar was very tasty, the chicken stuffing roast was faultless. Prices are worth it for the area and experience of eating there.

Creo que fue el peor almuerzo que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Completamente insípido y no digno del precio y la configuración. ¿Está este restaurante bajo nueva dirección? Tuve un clásico domingo de carne asada. Sabía a la peor de las cenas escolares. ¡Sin sazón, sin sabor! Las patatas asadas sabían como si hubieran sido fritas en una sartén. El plato de verduras sabía viejo y demasiado cocido. Los budines de Yorkshire eran de una gama congelada de la tía Bess. ¡El queso de coliflor era tétrico y robusto! La caja de tarta de ruibarbo se había comprado y está disponible en cualquier pastelería barata, típica de las cajas de pastelería de un proveedor de catering conocido. Vi spanderte på oss noen musikal-dager i London. Bodde på et hotell på Shaftesbury Avenue - uten frokost. Ved en tilfeldighet fant vi dette stedet. Og det ble frokost 2 dager. Perfekt egg, bacon, toast, friskpresset appelsinjuice. Dessuten hyggelig og oppmerksom service. Vi har nok funnet vår frokostfavoritt til neste Londonbesøk.

Couldn’t have wanted for more. Unfortunately I have found restaurants can sometimes be lacking in quality and originality these day not at the Dean Street Townhouse they’re not. Original menu and fabulous food. The drinks weren’t bad either. The restaurant is beautiful comfortable and the atmosphere is both buzzy and relaxed. People that work there to a man and a woman are friendly, efficiently and wear their sense of humour lightly. We had guests join us for coffee and the restaurant was very accommodating. Can’t wait to go back.

Delicious Sunday Roast, excellent service and great atmosphere (other than super loud neighbours at the beginning who fortunately left 15 minutes in).

Lovely place for lunch/brunch and boy over priced. The service wasn’t the best as got cold coffee services up then we had to get someone to bring milk then we had to find someone to bring a spoon and the wrong bread was brought but as I was a business colleague didn’t want to make a fuss whilst there

Don’t book a late table here you are not welcome. Seated given menus and told kitchen was closing so better hurry up and order. After theatre dining is not welcome here. Very abrupt service from staff. Food ok but will not return again.

My friend said her burger and fries were delicious. My roast chicken Sunday lunch however was tepid, with overcooked seasonal veg and very dry roast potatoes. Not up to previous standards at the Townhouse.

Fantastic experience - great food and atmosphere and our waiter was lovely. Close to our theatre, and perfect for a birthday celebration. Loved it.

La ubicación es inmejorable, justo en el corazón del Soho, con todo a poca distancia. Si bien la habitación era compacta, estaba excepcionalmente bien equipada, ofreciendo todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda. Las instalaciones eran excelentes, y la atención al detalle hizo que el espacio fuera elegante y acogedor. El personal era amable, profesional y dispuesto a ayudar.

Gorgeous, welcoming venue but the bacon and gluten-free bread were very disappointing. The bread was a poor-quality, processed type and the bacon, just like a cheap supermarket brand. I really expected something far more upmarket and well-considered.

Lovely breakfast spot, helpful staff and nice interiors. I would recommend this place for working morning meetings!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this time I had to. The atmosphere was spot on, the food was delicious, and the service? Absolutely incredible. But honestly, the real highlight was our waitress, Anastasia. She was so lovely, helpful, and made the whole experience unforgettable (even though she refused to leave me her number 😩). Still, 10/10 for everything here! Definitely coming back!

Amazing! They had a bagpiper for Burns night and it was so magical! Everything fabulous as always. Waitstaff are always such a delight!

Good value afternoon tea A very pleasant experience in Central London in a cosy and comfortable tea-room/restaurant. A choice of dainty sandwiches, including vegetarian options, 2 scones and a selection of pastries. A generous pot of leaf tea from a choice, to wash it down. Service prompt and courteous, so were the other waiters in the restaurant. My 2 guests, whose first experience of afternoon tea it was, left utterly charmed and delighted. Warmly recommended. (service charge added to the bill).

Timeless, delicious and with amazing staff. One does not expect to find such a place in the heart of London.

Booked an early lunch at 12. We were initially seated at a low table with chairs so low as to make eating very awkward. Asked for a change of location. We were re seated. Service was nothing special and although various people asked how everything was it felt that it was pure obligation with no personal interaction...almost just passing by. Service was slow and I had to ask for the bill twice which arrived from a completely different assistant. Surprised to see a 14.5% service tariff, Not worth it considering the actual service. Two of the party had the special. Very mediocre Butterfly Bass filet, certainly not worth the £29 price. Overall very disappointing.

We had an enjoyable early dinner at Dean St Townhouse. We have been several times though this was our first visit for a while. The dining room has a very buzzy ambience and can get busy very quickly - tables are quite close together which may not suit everyone - though for us ambience is part of the fun eating out. We had 2 menu staples to start - the soufflé and salmon - followed by the fish of the day and the Dover Sole + sides. With a shared desert of apple crumble and ice cream we had a great meal. Our bill did run away a bit helped by 2 coupes of champagne and an enjoyable bottle of Beaujolais. Service can struggle to cope when it gets busy though we could not fault the service on our visit. We look forward to going again - it was fun.

I ordered a coffee and pan au raisin. The coffee arrived straight away, the pain au raisin came 25 mins later - the waiter forgot I then got a bill with 12.5% service on it. Very poor

Fabulous restaurant with a great ambiance, food and service was outstanding!

We selected this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were certainly not disappointed.. Apart from the great reviews we chose if for location as we were going to see a matinee performance at a nearby theatre. Lovely welcome and such a great setting inside. Great to see that is was quite busy with diners when we arrived, which created a really good atmosphere. A really good menu, lovely food, the highlight was the crab starter, along with great wines. We would definitely return again and would highly recommend.

Very Glam I eat at the restaurant.

The value was exceptional. However, while the servers were kind, welcoming, and professional, they appeared to be somewhat overworked. Our server had to attend to the fireplace repeatedly, adding wood, a task that perhaps should have been handled by someone else. Finally, we weren't offered assistance with pouring our tea; this small detail would have elevated the experience from a 9/10 to a perfect 10/10.

This was my second time dining at the Dean Street Townhouse and it was fantastic again. Hearty meals, perfect for winter dining with a great wine list and friendly waitress. I look forward to dining here again when next in London.

Had a lovely round table, ordered the vegi breakfast which is very generous - 2 eggs ( which were perfectly cooked ) spinach steamed, feta with chilli - yummy, mushroom, beans, avocado smash - beautifully seasoned, potato patty in bread crumbs and sour dough toast - all of it delicious and filling. All washed down with fresh orange juice and delicious coffee. It’s fresh, tasty and filling. The staff are so lovely - attentive without hovering, nothing is to much trouble! Great value for money - the whole experience was a joy.

It was splendid. Dean Street Townhouse restaurant is always a welcoming environment and fabulous experience. It serves the best full English breakfast in London, in my view. I love the ambience and service created by all the staff. It was great to be there again. A must-visit for me when in London.

Everything was really lovely from the service to the surroundings. Food was lovely but lacked presentation & the dishes were on the small side.

We decided to revisit the Dean St Townhouse as he hadn't been for over a year and were looking for somewhere for a New Years Day meal. It was as good as ever. The food was good quality and still had some old favourites on the menu The service was friendly but diligent The ambiance was magical We hope to visit again sooner next time

The ambience is mostly British pub with a bit of bistro. The service was great. We enjoyed our fish and chips and burger and the burger was exceptionally good. Absolutely glad we receive this recommendation from the hotel concierge. We will definitely return.

I visited this restaurant because I wanted to experience the classical atmosphere typical of London, and also because it was the restaurant where Meghan and Meghan Markle had their first date. I visited around 11:30 on Sunday, but they said they still had breakfast available, so I ordered a traditional breakfast plate and waffles. Both were delicious, but the way they were presented and the contents were rather classic, for better or for worse, so if you're used to restaurants that focus on the latest trends in appearance, you might be a little disappointed. The atmosphere is perfect for people who value atmosphere, so I think they will be satisfied and have a fun time😌❤️

Had a great meal here on NYE. Food,service and atmosphere great as always. Had a great table for the 4 of us. Just one observation if only 2 dining, tables are very close and not as great. For heart of West end, reasonable value for money. Not a fancy menu, but good wholesome food.

Went for a generic Sunday brunch. Entry staff were fine. Serving staff were pretty shoddy. It took a good 5 minutes for anyone to approach an offer me a coffee once seated and the poor service continued. Highlighted by me eventually having to get up from my table to order. It didn't work, as I figured it wouldn't, but it did then lead to a waiter coming by to do their job. And the place was pretty empty. It's a weird one - being sat down, receiving service at a certain level, but also being able to see the same waiter / waitress give other tables more attention. Comparison is the thief of joy, but it's one of those situations where we both started to get paranoid that we'd offended the team somewhere. Maybe it's the post Christmas lull, but I wasn't overly impressed. And when booking my friend put it was a "birthday" event - this is the level of service we got when they believed it was a special occasion. There was no "was everything ok with your meal?" which was a tad disappointing, though I suspect the team knew they didn't give a fig. And there was a service charge, which was paid mostly as a "I won't be coming back" fee. Two stars are for the food, which was decent, and the location.

We had a wonderful time, the service was great, the food (fish and chips) was very good. The ambience is buzzy and very friendly. I would highly recommend Dean Street Townhouse for a great lunch or dinner. I would like to give a special mention the lovely Natcha. She is so efficient and always with a smile.

disapointed to be told 45 minutes after the alotted booking time that the kitchen is closed and we will be asking you to leave in 10 minutes . if you can not service the table , i suggest you dont take the booking .... its not a fast food restauarnt but such service really lets it down .

Was really looking forward to trying this place - we waited 45 min for drinks. And the food was served before we got anything to drink. We had to ask 2 or 3 times for everything we ordered. The waiter was really sweet but they were understaffed and the restaurant was 60% full 🫣 The food was good but the overall experience was just not up to standard.
