De Fresh in Leeds

Ordered a load of food for a birthday with 15 + people. It was piping hot when delivered and was restaurant quality. Hard to believe this is take away food.

Food is delicious. I order from here regularly and it never disappoints. Great service staff are always so friendly.

Never used this place before lady serving was excellent . Food was terrible and not what I expect for a Special Curry that’s where it ended there was nothing Special about it and the majority of it was binned . The meat had been boiled in the very bland watery non tasty curry sauce instead of being primarily wok fried then curry sauce added. Very dissatisfied and would not return I love Chinese cuisine and this was very under par . Sorry .

Very very poor, fried rice not fried, salt and pepper no salt and pepper, curry sauce tasteless water, chicken soft and boiled not nice, hands down worst chinese Ive ever come across

Have used this takeaway for years and the food is good. However, on the last few occasions, the food has not been ready at the time I was given on the phone. I don’t think they have the capacity to deal with phone orders AND online orders.

First class in ever way. Our go to Chinese takeaway every time, but delivery driver is very rude... Everytime!!!

Got told 1.5 hour wait for delivery. Hadn't shown up so rang back after 2 hours of waiting to be told its only just started to be cooked, so had to go and collect it and had to wait another half hour whilst there. If they are really busy and behind schedule they should stop answering the phone for a bit and catch up will not be ordering again.

Excellent food at a fantastic price. Better priced than anywhere else we've tried in North Leeds. Gluten free options too (write in the notes at the end).

Thank you so much for your kindness tonight. My husband came to collect our order and unfortunately tripped and fell outside of the shop. This was seen by one of your staff who offered to re do our whole order as it ended up a bit scrambled in the bag. The food was delicious as usual. 🥰

👤Great customer service, friendly staff, beautiful smelling food but went downhill from there. ❌Bland noodles, gravy that tasted like typical bistro gravy, dry special fried rice and soggy prawn crackers. ✅The chips and the spare ribs in OK sauce were nice.

De Fresh is my favourite Chinese takeaway. I am fussy how rice is cooked and is always cooked perfect. The beef is pure beef and not mixed with hard pieces of grizzle and the prawn crackers are always Fresh. Really friendly people and top service and delivery. "BIG 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 UP from me"..

We decided to have a takeaway from De Fresh in Leeds and it was more than what we expected. It was delicious and we were impressed by the quality and service. We would order from them again.

Tasty food but awful service. Phoned up and was told it would be about 70 mins for collection - fine it was a Saturday evening. Turned up 70 mins later, it was another 30 mins before my food was ready. But it was wrong (missing a noodles), then was told it would be another 5-10 mins for what I'd ordered. No apology or anything. Won't be coming back. Food was pretty tasty which is a shame as won't be going back again.

I am very fussy about my rice and i absolutely love the fried rice, one of my faves! I also got salt and pepper chips ( well done, that’s the trick! ) and they were amazing!! The prawn in black bean was a really good portion, lots of veg and cooked to perfection! Prawn toast was thick too with actual prawn meat! I have been here quite a few times due to the fact they do quorn! I love this place and really do feel their food is amazing. Thank you so much for my dinner last Saturday me and my son really enjoyed it!!

Ordered several dishes including sweet and sour prawns and duck pancakes. Amazed how big prawns were. All food was delicious and on time. Great service!

AVOID - terrible food awful service! Chicken tasted like it has been sitting in salt for a week and that’s coming from someone who has salt with everything! Soggy “crispy” cod was one of the worse we have ever had! Probably around 3/4 of our order went in the bin! Won’t be using again!

Can’t really fault it. Food was very tasty. Was responsibly priced as most Chinese takeaways can be slightly expensive. Salt and pepper chicken pieces, egg fried rice and a sauce - £8.50, which I don’t think is too bad. Prawn crackers included and a couple of extra little bits free as we had a large order - they did look after us. Definitely seen a gap in the market with them open on a Monday so if you want a Chinese on a Monday, go here. Only negative is it is cash only.

Brilliant food and customer service. The lady on the phone is lovely and she still remembers my address, no matter which number I phone from or how long between ordering. Hands down the best Chinese takeaway in the area.

I have to say although the food is good, I have never come across someone as rude and disgusting in their attitude as the relatively elderly person that is on the front desk. To the point you leave muttering under your breath each time, horrified. I have been here quite often in the last 2 months as I live locally, but having previously preferred another local takeaway and decided to try this as they do a veg chicken dish (plant based I think). Ordering different things either Veg and or chips, side dishes etc

Food is great, but sadly have been short changed multiple times in there which is out of order, won’t use anymore!

Probably the best quality Chinese takeaway in North Leeds. Family run, and always friendly. So much so that my daughter refers to this place as ‘the smiley man shop’. It’s cash only though, and the nearest ATM over the road at the petrol station is unreliable. There used to be one at the post office a few doors up, but that’s been removed now.

Vile!!!! Will NOT be returning. Waited a long time for the food initially to be disgusted when it arrived. Beef was thick and chewy and went STRAIGHT in the bin. The rest of the food was very average and it was an overall very unpleasant experience.

2 simple dishes..... disgusting. Better food previously, but i think its different owners, would not rush back.

Made an order over the phone for 4 people. The woman on the phone was short and impatient with me. When we went to collect our food the same woman gave us a wry look (perhaps because we are black??) and asked if we were there to collect the special fried rice etc. We wanted to pay £12 separately but the stone faced woman would have none of it. We handed her 2 £20 notes and my God, the woman must have checked the damn things at least 8 times (no exaggeration) Customer service was atrocious, made us feel really uncomfortable, uneasy and unhappy. What a shame because the food was nice. Not outstanding but nice. We ordered special rice (nice) Singapore vermicelli (nice) salt and pepper wings (bland with very little chilli and there were more onions than anything) salt and pepper ribs (good) soft noodles (dry and bland) Won't be going back. There's too much choice of good chinese food takeaways with good customer service to go back to places like this. It's because of us they earn their bread and butter. Appreciate your customers regardless of colour, creed, shape or size! Peace to all and a happy New year!

Usually enjoy food from here but they clearly had a bad night tonight. Took 1hr 45 mins to arrive and then forgot to send drinks ( although they have offered credit for them off next order) the curry sauce was more like a curry paste and by the time we had sat down to eat it I had gone past hungry and couldn't even eat it. the rice and chips were cold and needed reheating. Very disappointed defresh you have let yourself down!!!!

Rude rushed service. Prawn crackers had a ' chemical / metallic' taste to them. Main course was ok. Would not rush back. Very disappointed as I used to like the restaurant.

This place has the best Chinese take away restraunt I have gone to in Leeds. Even though it has moved from being a big restaurant to a small take away, it is still worth it. I recommend this place to anyone who is interested.

Excellent food, good value and friendly service
