1st time here. Came in for drinks and was made very welcome. Good selection, we had cocktails, mmmm delicious. Excellent service and attentive staff. We're planning our next visit and plan to eat here. A hidden gem, go here if you get the chance!

Good menu and a lovely atmosphere. Service is a bit slow at times.

Fabulous place, great atmosphere, lovely location. Nice outside seating area. Very interesting. Wondering why they're empty so been there for a glass or wine. Can't understand those people who are saying reasonable prices because it's rip off. £10 for a glass of wine. It's better be empty.

This is one of the best wine bars in London. I've attended a couple of their wine events and I cannot recommend them enough. The staff are amazing and they have a great selection of wine and food. It's a must do when visiting London!

If you want to enjoy a good wine and a delicious meal it is a good place, and if you are just planning to drink something relaxing on the terrace it is also a great place for that. They now have a giant screen on the back terrace to watch the games

OK pub just on the outskirts of Greenwich. Excellent decor, very olde worlde, but toilets were freezing cold and the service came with a scowl. Fabulous in the summer. A bit pricy but good selection of wines and lovely outside seating area.

Worst place I’ve ever been to in the area. Only ordered 3 pints, they took 20 mins to come out. Service horrible, really not pleasant the people working here tonight. Card machines were not working and took really long to work. Charged us service charge without stating this. Given the service and all of the problems that happened in the little hour I was, I can only say one thing for sure AVOID. They even switched off the heater and lights without advising. Absolutely horrible experience. Wouldn’t come again AT ALL

We had a lovely Roast Dinner great choice of food for mains course. Also very good dessert menu.

Echoing comments below. Terrible service today. Particularly bad as they appeared to be having a staff party in the yard. All well and good, but either shut up shop for the day or those that are working need to be focussed on customers. One older woman particularly and only focussed on what food and drink she could stock pile for herself at the end of the bar to consume and rolling her eyes at the younger (and hard working) members of staff simultaneously barking orders at them. Sort it out… looked to be a table of four “senior” managers inside would perhaps will action this….

Davys used to be impeccable. On a few recent occasions I struggled to get service. I went this time on a saturday afternoon, when the place was relatively empty. Did not have anyone come to take order for over 20 mins, at which point I went to the bar to order, where the folks were simply hovering around (something that would continue for the next hour). I was told that they had a great deal (a small pie and a glass of house no1. red wine for 21! pounds). That's ridiculous and expensive. Waited for over 30 mins for the food, and asked for water, which came another 20 mins later (almost when I finished my food). Other tables with guests next to me were waiting for service as well. Really poor service staff, impolite conversations and overall not a great experience.

We met friends on Sunday night, the bar seemed pleasant enough but very quiet we went to the bar and although a member of staff was standing behind the bar he was too important to serve a customer so we waited for another member of staff. Eventually we were asked what we wanted. We ordered one glass of red wine, 2 g&t’s and one vodka & coke £32:30 seriously. 250 ml glass of red wine £12.50 no wonder the place is empty. When you rip people off they don’t come back.

Good wines at fair prices. Friendly professional service. Good cheese. Food well cooked but portions of roast beef rather on the inadequate side.

It was my third time. They have a cozy atmosphere unfortunately the last time there was a party so it was a bit loud. The food is great, and the service is very good. Friendly, polite and fast service. I really recommend burgers there and they have a good selection of wines. The place is very clean and cozy and has this pub atmosphere. If you are in Greenwich area, for sure it’s one of the best places to go.

A great place to get some food and drinks. Been many times and never been disappointed. Great menus options, great wine and atmosphere. They also serve a truly delicious Sunday Roast! The service is always super at the restaurant and I would highly recommend to book a table for dinner or go there for the lighter lunch options!

Early evening on a Saturday the restaurant was quiet. The food was tasty, and cooked well. The service staff were distracted. Perhaps not enough to do, so they chatted with each other and didnt notice the customers. This meant that the service was unnecessarily slow. Our drinks, a zero beer and a tonic, took ages to arrive, the server admitted she had forgotten about us. She was chatting. Our food took awhile, served, couls we have a plate to go with the small plates, chipped potatoes and meatballs? Of course and sauce, yes please. "How long does it take to get a plate?" my dining partner asked? I went.across to the manager who had serves us, who was yes chatting. I'm just coming with the sauce and ive asked for a plate. She then delivered the plate with a look at her watch and ""4 minutes not bad"..really?! Certainly longer than 4 minutes from delivering the food, and yes, 4 minutes for a cold plate ia too long. Sadly we had not enough time for a pudding. 1 hour for a main course and a drink!

Sunday evening, grim visit. My linguine with pea veloute was hardly warm, and the peas like bullets. Friends managed to eat their way through fairly tasteless fish and chips. Had been warned kitchen closed at 9, but to be told at 9.02 that the coffee machine was closed????? I wanted a glass of the cheaper (still very expensive rose) - was told they had run out, so if I wanted rose, that’s nearly £10 a glass. As other reviews say, overpriced, food and drink. Will I go back? No.

Nice space - if staff were engaged and interested, it would make for a great experience too.

For sure to recommend. Very friendly service, combined with a good variety of food. I always like it, when the menue card is not that large. On the opposite, the wine card is. 😀 Had some fish & chips, the cheese platter and some lager. Nice cosy evening at 25°C outside. I come back, if I can.

Nice atmosphere and surroundings but everything else was terrible. Expensive even for London. We ordered 3 drinks (bottles), which came without lids. One of them was barely half full when poured into a glass. They swapped it no bother but I wonder if they do that regularly? One of our meals was supposed to have olive tapenade but didn't. And to be charged a 15% service charge without being given the opportunity to refuse was a joke.

Waited over an hour for our food so we left. Its a shame as its seems to have more seating but can't cope with it. Lovely staff

Really fun experience! Nice guys running it. Some great wines. Would only suggest that some nibbles could be provided as I ended up having 9 wines (including aperitifs) and definitely needed something to soak it up!

Lovely beer garden. Lovely wine. Fake ketchup, fake mayonnaise. Like burger van stuff. If I’m paying £4 for a tiny portion of chips, lets not get the costco mayo out.

Really Davy’s ! £7 for a lager shandy and you used a bottle of lemonade from the shop around the corner that costs £1. That’s disgusting of you to charge that amount, even if it had been a pint of lager. Shame on you! I do not recommend this place to anyone even if you do have quite a pretty pub and backyard indoor area. 🫤

Great place for a dinner or just a drink

⚠️PIZZA WARNING: ⚠️☣️☠️🛢️ The pizza, which is made with a pre-made garlic bread dough (no sense), it’s just terrible and should be removed from the menu. Beside tasting horribly, it’s an insult to the Italian cousine.

We had a celebration with friends this Saturday and everything was perfect!!! Delicious food, space already reserved and organized for my guests. The staff were super dedicated, polite and kind. Thank you for everything

One of the best restaurants I have had in UK. The cod is fantastic with a brilliant sauce. The side of sausages is outstanding and spectacular. Services are excellent and detail minded. Will definitely visit again.

Not great at all. I had high expectations after seeing the reviews. We visited for Easter Sunday and it was dead, this should’ve explained a lot. There was no lamb on the menu after it had sold out…this happens. Our waitress was initially very friendly. The staff all seemed extremely stressed and very blunt. We were often for long amounts of time without drinks because the table staff weren’t attentive enough. The food took forever to arrive. The mains were luke warm and the beef, well it was so flat and dry I could only describe it like an old flip flop! We mentioned the temperature of the food, she said she would let the chef know…I’m sorry, but any decent front of staff would offer to reheat the food or at least take a portion off the bill! Pro’s were…gravy, potatoes, chicken and veg. Wine was nice but very overpriced. Overall we were very disappointed with our experience. The waitress became rather rude and sarcastic in the end. Surprising after we gave here a compulsory tip of £55. Needless to say, we won’t be returning again. No wonder they’re so empty.

Very disappointed with the service and food. My steak was very chewy and fatty. Whole table had to wait a while for drinks and even longer for the food. Very surprised by the attitude of the waiter who received a £50 tip and didn't even say thank you but instead moaned we were £1 less of the bill.

Poor service, white wine served war

Nice vibe but poor service unfortunately. Nothing to do with rudeness but no-one ever came to my table to ask if I needed anything. I had to get up and find the waiter every time I wanted to order a drink. I asked for the bill but again noone came to collect payment. Food was pretty good.

Our visit to Davy's restaurant on Monday 20/3 was a disappointing one. Despite being a party of 7, including 3 children, our food arrived at staggered intervals. The kids' meals took over 45 minutes to arrive, and the burgers took an hour. The ladies' 3-course meal deal took more than 1.5 hours to be served, and my wife even received her starter and main together. We had to call the waiter several times to follow up on our order, and at one point, they even brought us the bill instead of our food. The whole experience was tiring and made us feel unwelcome. It wasn't even a busy night, so we were disappointed that we had to wait so long for our food. We ordered a bottle of wine, but the staff didn't check on us or try to make our experience better. We were even prepared to order more wine, but they never came back to our table. The kids were bored and hungry, and it wasn't easy to contain them. Although Davy's restaurant has good reviews, we expected a better experience. We're not sure if we'll return in the future

You're not allowed to have cheese on a vegetarian burger. I asked if I could have it as a side, and just add it myself. They said no. I think if I'd brought my own Cathedral City in, I'd have been shot on sight. Two stars because the chips were nice, but not nice enough to go again. Go somewhere that allows you to make a reasonable request that costs them nothing.

It’s a 5 star place, for it’s cleanliness and comfort, the place is quite spacious for meeting friends for a drink or meal, I recommend to come over around 14-15:00 less busy during this time

Echt Engels restaurant. Goede prijs en kwaliteit. Kleine kaart, maar voor ieder wat wils. Verse producten en met zorg klaargemaakt. Heerlijke wijnen. Gezellige sfeer en inrichting.

False advertising, "kids eat for free on Sunday". They actually don't. We got charge full price apparently we didn't order the right dish. Nowhere mentioned. Also 2 Sunday Roast costing 19 pounds were served cold. With no apology given by the waitress. Got charge 98 pounds for 2 adults and 2 kids for a very poor meal and service.

Wonderful wine bar and restaurant too. Service is ace and the atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable and cosy. Great either in summer or winter. This has a TD rating. By the way it comes with loads of history so look it up and you'll not be disappointed. TOP DRAWER.

A great Italian wine tasting evening hosted by @Daniel Staicu at the Greenwich wine cellar. A fantastic range of wine accompanied by some delicious food. We really enjoyed the event in the private rooms. Thank you!

We went here for a friend's wedding and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were attentive and kept topping up our glasses, the food was delicious and the venue (a cellar underneath the bar) was beautifully decorated and the ideal spot for the reception. Would certainly return to try their day to day menu and drinks and the location is only minutes away from the DLR.

Extremely disappointing. The food is Tesco-style quality, but with the Greenwich premium. I wouldn't feed my dog from there.

Sehr gemütliches Pub mit großer Wein-Auswahl & ein klein wenig Noblesse-Feeling! Der Gastgarten im Innenhof ist riesig & sehr chillig! Die Fish‘n‘Chips sind einfach nur köstlich! Das Personal ist sehr (Kinder-)freundlich! Nicht überteuert! Absolut empfehlenswert!

After a very questionable post-covid experience in an establishment nearby, Davy's welcomed us with open arms, were attentive, covid secure and knowledge as they sat us in a fantastic new open area. Will come again. Thank you

Great place. And its the only pub (-ish) kind of place I know that has roast lamb for Sunday lunch. YUM. They dont rush either allowing plenty of time between servings. The only tip I have is to serve food on warm plates as it helps keep food hot for longer. They have a lot of patience too with that one inconsiderate parent who always thinks its ok for their toddlers to run about amongst the tables of other guess and in the path of staff trying to serve hot food. Tip for the pub, dont shy away in putting parents in there place. After all, if the child gets hurt, the parents will be the first to blame the staff! oh and the charcuturie is lush and is a great alternative for nibbles when out for some vino with your mates. Today was my 3rd visit in approx 3 months. As normality returns this could become my new local despite it not being on my doorstep.

A very nice surprise. Peaceful atmosphere, very very nice staff, a great selection of wine and the food is good! Away from the busy and crowded touristic side of Greenwich. We loved it.

Lovely staff (especially Suzie, Ollie, Eileen!), lovely atmosphere, feels spacious. We had a celebration dinner at Davy's last week and it was perfect. The staff added special touches to the table, the service was great and the food was spot on (3 courses each as well as meals for the kids).

A nice friendly place to enjoy a social evening with friends. The manager is very helpful, the menu is good and the food tasty. Wines are excelent.

Went for lunch with my wife. Really friendly service. Good food. The restaurant space is excellent with well spaced tables and lovely ambience.

It’s a nice place with lovely interior, however, the food was really disappointing. Shepherds pie was poor on meat and veggie pasta was very oily, both quite pricey though. Also I would recommend turning some music on to set the mood, it was quite weird to sit in silence

Fantastic evening.... Great rustic place, cosy area for a romantic dinner or larger tables for bigger groups.... Staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, not over the top. I had the aubergine linguine 😋👌🏼 was amazing, my partner had the steak, also gave it a thumbs up. Wine choice is obviously an extensive selection, we went for the Mount Brown Sauvignon Blanc.... Definitely order again!! Amazing outdoor area, dog friendly!

This place was absolutely amazing. I went to a private party there. The staffs were all amazing and very friendly. Very clean environment and clean toilet. In also planning on using this venue for my next bday party coming up.. Superb! A⭐

My first time visiting for a friend's birthday dinner, even though I have driven past many times. What an unexpected surprise. The food was divine! Each course was served piping hot, delicious flavours, hats off to the chef. Lovely ambiance, great service. Will definitely return.

Had a fantastic roast chicken in a huge airy room out the back. Lovely staff, excellent food and surroundings. Recommended. I didn't have wine but my friends said there was a fantastic selection of good wines too.

Impressive venue , downside was rude waitress who essentially interrogate us for not ordering on the app after she wrote down our order and said she would bring our drinks. After waiting 20 minutes without our drinks appearing she approaced our table asked why we hadn't used the app to order, and after we (unnecessarily) apologised as we were confused by her actions in writing our order down. When she asked what was confusing (rude) we said we were merely tired from being at a wedding the night before. She then said that she was tired because she had been working until 2 a.m. the previous night, and partying was no excuse? It was almost comical how rude she was, especially since our group's order was a simple one (3 shandies, a bloody mary and a ginger beer) and that she had taken our order after SHE had said that the bar was having issues with the app. After another staff member brought our friend's shandy out as a separate half pint and lemonade, I changed my order on the app as it was clear the staff were inexperienced. I don't mind inexperience, every new staff member has to learn on the job, but this woman's rudeness was something we hadn't encountered in bar service before. After lecturing us that she was more tired than we were after we apologised for being confused by her confusing behaviour was more than a tad bizarre. Other than that, it's a nicely put together bar in a nice spacious building near the Greenwich DLR stop, with drinks priced at a standard rate for the area.
