As always brilliant service from Claire. Brunch was fresh and delicious. Eggs perfectly poached. Hearty, comfort food served with love.

This is my second visit to club and really impressed with the very friendly staff and the variety of food on offer. As soon as we walked in Claire came over greeted us and gave us a menu. She was very friendly when taking our order and did explain straightaway what they didn’t have on the menu so at least we had time to take another look and choose our food. The food was great and we decided that everytime we visit we will choose another meal. Definitely be back ! 👍

Disgusting service Went just after 5pm for food - opening times clearly state closes at 7pm... we were told kitchen was closed. 2nd time this has happened. No wonder no one eats there, sort it out Heworth.

Ad hoc lunch with family. The food was delicious, obviously freshly made, good sized portions and very reasonably priced. Great service from Claire and all. Will definitely return in the near future 👏🏻😀

My family dined out on Sunday to celebrate a special occasion. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, ample portions on the plate, with meat that was cooked to perfection. Additional vegetables and cauliflower cheese were fresh and plentiful. A nice choice of desserts finished our meal nicely. The drinks from the bar are reasonably priced. Overall, Davidson’s Kitchen gets a highly recommended from us.

One of the worst Sunday lunches we’ve ever had. Cold, tasteless, very disappointing. Staff attentive and friendly but for a first visit for Sunday lunch, we definitely won’t be returning.

The sunday dinners are delicious and the staff pay attention to every detail needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a sunday Dinner.

We have had Sunday lunch here a few times now as it's on our doorstep and it never disappoints!! Our most recent visit was Father's day and even though they were busy the food was exceptional, the staff were attentive and the atmosphere is so relaxed, you never feel rushed or like a burden. The cauliflower cheese is well worth the extra, and serves 3 people a decent portion. The extra roasties could easily serve 4+, we were a table of 7 and ordered 2 bowls but 1 would have been plenty and given us all about 3 extra potatoes. My only criticism, and it's mostly because I have a very fussy 5 year old, is that a children's menu would be a fab addition. They do offer a children's Sunday lunch at a reduced cost, but my Son doesn't like meat unless its a sausage, and veg wise will only really eat the carrots and peas but as these are mixed I'm with other greens I spent 10mins fishing them out. Maybe just the addition of sausages/chicken nuggets or even the option to plate veg separately to the adults would be super handy fir those of us who enjoy a good Sunday lunch but have the fussiest children.

Sunday Lunch Mostly good but I was disappointed with the roast potatoes they were hard and appeared reheated. My family didn’t eat theirs and they usually love roasties. Its not hard to make them, even I can do it!

Attended for Father’s Day, we were greeted straight away, shown to our table and received lovely service, from start to finish. Sunday dinner was really fresh and tasty, cauliflower cheese- amazing cheese pull. Abbie was really friendly throughout our visit and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

Tried the Piri Piri chicken pizza. Chicken was grey and slimy. Picked it off, nasty. Surely you would use chicken breast on a pizza? Anyway, sauce with starter was ALDI bramwells branded garlic and BBQ, Cheap and tasteless. I would guess that the garlic bread was also some cheap eqivelent, as was rock hard. Was looking forward to it, but sadly disappointed. Venue is classy tho, looks premium.

Another visit for Sunday lunch today, this time with the family so they could see how brilliant it is here. The food was delicious, tender meats and loads of tasty veggies and huge Yorkshire puddings! The service was fantastic, friendly and efficient. Such a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

popped in after my round, never usually have food after golf but felt hungry. class staff, class food, class atmosphere. welcomes non golfer just as much as members of the course. food is different gravy aswell fantastic clubhouse

My wife and I had our Xmas Day Dinner here and we will be back next Xmas Day. The food,service,ambience and relaxing happy atmosphere was superb. Shouldn’t have been surprised as we had been for a few testers in the weeks leading up to the day! Cannot praise the staff highly enough.

Absolutely outstanding food and service! Lovely setting with friendly staff. Morgan was lovely. The bruschetta was probably the best I’ve ever had and the cottage pie was amazing.. my husband had the Thai red curry with big chunks of chicken.. dessert was a beautiful raspberry cheesecake. Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious- make sure you order the cauliflower cheese as a side dish. Cheesecake for dessert is also a great choice and recommended!. Freshly cooked and great value too - highly recommend a visit. The staff are great too.
