Danny's Kitchen in Warrington

I first went there years ago & always enjoyed it every time I went but recently visited again with a friend who has never been & we both got the 1/2 chips.. 1/2 rice with curry like I used to & it didn’t disappoint! Service is fast, the staff are polite & the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend!

i love freshly cooked fish and chips and gravy in this place. in some days and certain hours there is quque to get in as it is the only fish and chips shop in town centre!!!

We always go into town for a Danny’s kitchen take away, every Friday lunchtime. The chicken curry half and half is amazing!!!!!! Certainly the highlight of the working week. 😃

It's a chippy with Chinese-style dishes. Busy at lunch times usually so you will often have freshly cooked food. Very popular with locals. Chips and pie a good option. Chicken satay is not as good as it was.

I've read some of the reviews on here about Dannys and all I can say is I'm baffled. I go to Dannys most day I'm working in Warrington for lunch and only have nice things to say. OK not the best food I've had from a chippy but by far not the worst. You pay for what you get if you want good food at a good price and boy are they quick you can't knock Dannys. I'm a coach driver and go all over and I've payed a lot more for food I've left. I think all chippy owners need to go to Dannys and see how it's done.

I usually go to Danny's Kitchen whenever I'm in Warrington and they never fail to impress. Their service is amazing, even on a busy day the food is with you in minutes. The food never arrives looking like it's been sat there for hours, cold and bland, but instead arrives flavor filled, warm and fresh. The people who work there are very welcoming and the prices are amazing. It's easy and enjoyable. I highly recommend taking time out of your dinner break to go here. Only problem is I'm not quite sure they have a toilet, so perhaps adding one of them will help further improve this place?

Good place have a lunch in town. Fast, delicious, and bargain. The famous meal are curry chicken and beef satay. And you can try fish and chips. They cook the fresh cod when you order.

Haven’t been for a little while. Walked in and there was one person just getting served. That in itself should have set alarm bells ringing. I’ve never seen that place empty. Usually at least half a dozen people in front of me. Got curried beef & fried rice x 2 and a portion of chips to share. Even got to sit down which is another rarity. Chips were a bit limp. Warm ups possibly? Curry was ok, but not really enough of it. In as much as just a bit on the top not enough to mix in with the rice. Gone downhill sorry

Amazing! Been around for years and always serves up an amazing meal. Simplicity is key here and by having a small menu they don't do anything wrong. You might have to wait for a table or sit with other people. This place has never changed and it never should.

Right let’s get one thing straight. You aren’t going to Danny’s for the decor, the atmosphere or the service. You’re going to this Warrington institution because it does one thing and it does it amazingly - chicken satay half n half or with egg fried rice. A chicken satay like no other it comes with nothing but chicken + sauce and egg fried rice. Both are deliciously moreish and deliciously bad for you. Pay the extra £1.80 for double meat, you won’t regret it. A total of £5.90 does not a broken bank make, and this will be the best £5.90 you’ve spent in years. I first tried this place when I was about 15 and 15 years later the flavour and portion sizes are still absolutely the same. It might not look like much but bloody hell its worth it.

Danny's serves the best fish 'n' chips in town. Clean premises, attentive and polite staff and nice seating. Our fish 'n' chips came with freshly buttered bread and a selection of condiments and sauces were provided. The price was surprisingly inexpensive too. I have never tasted better.

Visited at the weekend with my other half and mum and dad. Can recommend the beef curry half and half. My mum and dad both recommend the beef satay and my other half likes the char sui mushroom. It's still very popular and the customers still queue out of the door for what can only be described as excellent value for money.

This is the definition of a hidden gem, i have visited this place on numerous occasions over 7 years and it has to be the best in the north west, the quality has stayed the same and the hospitality has stayed the same I seriously recommend this. The chicken curry half and half or chicken and gravy half and half are my favourites, however the satay sauce is also a good option, give this place a try you will definitely not regret it.

Do not take any notice of the negative reviews! This is the best Chinese takeaway in the North West! The food is fabulous and is excellent value for money. I recommend the beef dishes but my favourite is the beef curry half and half. The food is served piping hot and you can eat inside the shop if you are lucky enough to get a seat as it is incredibly popular particularly with the students. I took my mum here recently for a birthday treat (it was her choice)! Please go and try it!

Pedimos pollo al curry y arroz. Tengo que decir que, después de haber oído durante años lo bueno que este lugar se supone que es, que fue la peor comida que he comido. Caro así como malísimos. Vine aquí con mi madre en febrero y marzo en el almuerzo. Este es mi lugar favorito para comer en Warrington como la comida es increíble y muy barato y las raciones son enormes! He mencionado esto anteriormente, pero probablemente está muy concurrido, así que prepárate para hacer cola en la puerta, pero el servicio es rápido. Hay asientos en el interior, pero tendrá que esperar para una mesa libre. Recomiendo la carne al curry media y media (media/media arroz frito con patatas fritas). Mi madre recomienda el satay y mitad carne mitad!

Cocina de Danny es increíble cuando necesitas algo rápido y sabroso. Siempre estaba ocupado, pero el servicio es rápido. No ha sido para que, así, a menos que cambiaron el único inconveniente no está abierto los domingos cuando necesitas comida grasienta y de resaca!!!

Estado viniendo aquí durante años. Mitad y mitad satay salsa! Mi opción número uno. Todo el mundo debería visitar, no te decepcionará.

Doesn't look much from the outside and the decor and facilities are basic at best but the food is just wow! Their chicken curry half and half is practically a local legend for good reason :-)

Food was lovely portions are massive , mushy peas were beautiful really enjoyed the fish cakes will be coming back again

I love this chippy. It serves the best, crunchiest chips around. Not normally a fan of chip shop gravy but would recommend. Tends to be the Friday treat in my office but I am trying to convince them to change the day as by noon the queue is out the door on a Friday. The service is unbelievable. Everytime a colleague comes from another office this is where I take them and never had a bad review. Yummy.

I first heard rumours about this place when I was on the other side of the world in Australia. Once I got home I knew I had to make the pilgrimage up from London to this one of a kind mecca in Warrington. I am pleased to announce the rumours were true! I was taken by a Danny's veteran who was very gentle with me as a first timer. The chicken curry half and half blew my mind! The decor was cute and the portion size was more than ample. Well done Danny's, you are truly are worthy of your world fame.

Beautiful hot spicy curry with chips. Staff always happy to serve. Sometimes sit inside but its usually packed so get a take-a-way

I have only ever had a chicken curry half and half from here in the past at work which have been okay. We ate in this time and staff were short on smiles. I had chicken and mushroom half and half, must say not that impressed. I did notice that it seems to cater for the youngsters in Warrington, but this is just my impression. If its a cheap hot meal for £4.00 you want this is the place for you

You can be in and out of this place in second, if you want a takeaway. You also have the option of taking a seat.Always been top quality at a reasonable price.

Fast service yummy food my only criticism is that it should be open 24hrs a day rather than skeleton hours. Cheap prices aswell bonus!!

I have been to Danny's Kitchen many times, and has always been a favourite chippy in Warrington town. The food has always been good, and reasonably priced. The staff have always been friendly and gave a good service.

We have this about once a month from work pay day treat. Two staff go pick up the food. Food is good and reasonably priced

This is a Chinese takeaway set on the high street. It serves both Chinese and English chip shop food. They are open from 11am till 6pm and are generally always busy. So much so that the queue is out the door onto the street. Don't let this put you off though as it is quick service.You can either stay in or takeaway. If you sit in there is cutlery on the side of the counter near the tables or you can grab a plastic fork and eat out.I always get chicken satay half and half. It is amazing and the portion is big enough to actually share.

This is a chinese chip shop where the queues never end! This is incredibly popular but is well worth the wait to have your order taken. Once you have paid, the food is served very quickly in poly boxes and you can have it wrapped up to take away off site or you can wait a short while and sit at one of the tables inside for free! As mentioned previously it is not a restaurant so there aren't any customer toilets but that's not important!What's important is the choice of fresh food available to customers. There is every variety of meat with a huge selection of sauces and the beauty about it is you can choose from boiled rice. fried rice and chips or half and half! The portions are huge and the price is very reasonable. I almost don't want to publish this review in case it encourages more customers to visit!! I generally have the beef curry with half and half and my o/h has the char sui mushroom with chips!It's one of our favourite places to eat and is well worth a visit. It opens around 11am (I think) and is open all day until around 6pm Mon - Sat.

This is a very popular Chinese takeaway providing both traditional fish and chip shop and Chinese meals. From the moment it opens at 11.am, until closing at 6pm, it is continuously busy providing takeaways and sit in meals (there approximately 6-7 table for you to sit and eat your meal).You order at the front counter and wait for your meal to be served in a plastic takeaway container. They are very efficient and your meal is with you within a couple of minutes at the most. They will either wrap it for you to take away, or help yourself to a free plastic fork and take a seat to enjoy it.Be aware that you can only pay with cash as credit cards and cheques are not accepted. Another consideration is that they do not have any toilet facilities (none are advertised), but there are some in the market or Golden Square shopping centre. We usually opt for the chicken curry half and half (with chips and rice), as we enjoy the spicy sauce. I have recently tried their fish dinner - fish, chips, curry or gravy, and peas with two slices of buttered bread (£4.50), and really enjoyed it.I hope this review is useful
