Okay food but not great service

Went into the shop and asked one of the staff for something my wife had bought there a few days previously. The shop was not busy, I asked for what I wanted and quite she dismissively waved her hand and said over there. Went to the area she waved to and what I asked for was not there.None of the staff asked me if I had found what I had been looking for. Because of her attitude I just walked out , they have lost a good regular client.

The beautiful smell of the shop always invites me in! Couldn't fault it!! Gorgeous pastries and lovely staff!

I would not call this place kosher. They serve food with the same gloves they use to take money from you. Prices are never displayed on the items. Obviously crazy overpriced. Every morning, I see the kitchen door open, and it’s very messy in there. The staff takes cooking pots outside and carries them next door without any lids, etc. It’s unsanitary.

All the locals swear by it. There is always a high demand for it's pastry and/or sandwich platters.

The pastries are nice and delicious but the cappuccino is taste like a diluted espresso-too strong and same the latte. Atmosphere is okay.

Good food, good variety, but would be nice for staff to occasionally say, please when telling you the cost amount & thank you when receiving your money.

Products are OK, staff very unfriendly.

Truelly the worst cappuccino I have ever had. Weak as water, no froth on top. More like a bad latte and nothing like a cappuccino. Very poor all round. Needless to say we won't be back.

A regular customer at Daniel’s. The range of food that I have had at Daniel’s is consistently delicious; from the perfectly baked bagels that are soft in the inside and hard on the outside and rogelachs that have the perfect amount of chocolate inside, they have clearly perfected their craft! I look forward to my Friday weekly visits and as does my family! Thank you for consistently being great, innovative and having great service.

An outstanding Jewish bakery (and yes I am biased and every Jew has their favourite bakery and no, they didn't bribe me with bagels [note the spelling] to say that.)

Good selection of bread, biscuits and patisseries, and the lateish opening helps to allow shopping coming home from work. Nice sourdough, pittas and rolls

In principal great bakery but sells last weeks cakes on Wednesday for same price as fresh. Staff not very friendly. They do you a favour to serve you. Boss extremely rude although the elder boss brother in law much more amicable. No toilet facilities which is a must as this is also a coffee shop.

was accused today by the queue Inspector of jumping the queue which was not True as i went in front of customers being served Maybe the Queue inspector should be retrained in the Charm school maybe also shoud look at prices compered to Brick Lane which half the price

Needed a last minute bridge roll platter - picked up on Boxing Day, which Danels supplied. Very fresh and tasty and enjoyed by the entire family. As for others comments about the staff and service, the lady who I spoke with, was very helpful when it was explained that the platter was needed asap. As an irregular visitor always find the bagels and food to be of excellent quality.

Look I get paying over the odds for kosher munch is a thing but this place is expensive. Having said that their pizza is pretty decent if you need a quick bite.

Not often I leave a negative review. However as I was in Silvermans I thought how about getting some treats for my next destination. Bought 8 mini jam doughnuts, all boxed up for me, paid and left. It was embarrassing when my friends and kids all bit into the doughnuts. They were stale and straight into the bin. Waste of my time and money.

Lovely building and excellent food as always. Staff were all very friendly and attentive.

The woman on the phone was very rude to me when I told her JBD said they had a discount. I ordered food for the shiva . They charged me £50 on a £280 spend. And the food was totally bland.

No gluten free options whatsoever which seems a bit ridiculous in this day and age

Our office DOR Architects is a couple of minutes away and we have been buying from Daniel's bakery for years. Their Challah is really unparalleled, as the long Friday queues will often prove.

Lovely Holla bread as usual, shame I was a bit late to get a piping hot one Still the best Holla around. 👌 I have started going there a few weeks ago, why are the staff, behind the counter looking so miserable, if you ask for a warm Holla they will try their best but these days it's like, this is what we have so take it,. Still the best and the staff use to be so accommodating. Please go back to where it was an enjoyable experience to visit your wonderful shop 😊 ☺️

I've been buying bagels from here for literally decades. The price has tripped in that time and the bagels have shrunk in size by probably 40%, which frankly makes them a absolute rip off. It's just total greed. If you're going to charge £1 per bagel, treat your customers with respect and don't try to rinse them for every penny.

Always stop off here when passing by, fantastic range of freshly prepared sandwiches and the bread is amazing

Lovely bakery with lots of delightful, kosher selections! They were very patient and accommodating while I sat with my boy for 45min as he sipped his hot chocolate. Thank you!

Incredibly rude staff - now on 2 x successive visits. I will be going somewhere else next time, having seen other reviews I am not the only one to have experienced this.. strange that they don’t value customers more.

Don’t bother…go to Greggs, you’ll be better off. Bought 12 bagels this afternoon from Temple Fortune for £12 and every bagel was roar inside..how can a bog standard bagel be roar inside ????😡

My favourite kosher bakery, and I'm not easy to please. Easily the most delicious danish style poppyseed hamantashen, and super yummy mini jam doughnuts. I can't recommend them enough.

Delicious kosher bakery in Temple fortune. Their Challahs are delicious, quite cakey in taste. They also have a lovely selection of pastry's, cakes, breads, salads, cream cheese and other baked goods. There are a few small indoor seating tables and seats if you would like a coffee and a bun. They also offer catering where you can order platters and food.

The best challah I’ve ever had.

Expensive, flavourless, no lemon, no pepper and I simply don’t believe they are making them on site. I think they are liars. Not even Jewish

Take-away Bought smoked salmon and avocado on a seeded roll. Best ever. Salmon not stringy at all . (Unlike most places). Good slices of avocado too, (not mashed up) Overall good fresh sandwich well filled . Also bought Apple Turnover, more like the French "Chauson-aux-pommes" like I remember in France) Excellent, big one too ( I couldn't finish it in one go) Good fresh bread . I love the rye rolls and wholemeal pitta breads

Delicious pita/challah / rolls and chocolate yeast cake.

Extremely poor food hygiene practises. Even with the owner of the business stood in front of the member of staff that I had words with!! Why wear gloves to handle the food then keep the same gloves on to handle the cash!! Makes no sense!! I have in actual fact raised this issue on many occasions - however, the rude, belligerent owner of the business really doesn’t care about food hygiene!!

It was our first time there this Sunday. We had croissant, something like croissant with potato filling and eclair. They were so far from being fresh! It was such a waste of money for us unfortunately!

Stale cheese sandwich, salad with aubergine was tasteless, and a cake we bought total of £20 was ridiculous pricey. Never again. Girl who served was polite.

The best bakery !! Try chala bread it's absolutely delicious. I can finish it in one go !! On Friday you can buy chala with chocolate, heaven. Usually busy but worth waiting. Jewish gem on Golders green

Nice bakery,nice products,maybe best around. I would have given 5 stars but in the last week I popped in 3 times before 10 o'clock in the morning and they had no potato burekas left. Very disappointing, on one occasion staff told me to come back in halfen hour just to find out I made the trip for nothing. Looks like staff don't care. Disappointing.

Recently moving into the area and after numerous recommendations, went to pick up fresh bread. The bread great, but the staff not so much. After the first experience, I will not be back. Not welcoming, rude in tone when simply asking if they had items on their menu and then get told they don’t do that and not even a thank you for spending money. It won’t be spent here again. In an area full of competition, the biggest is most certainly not the best. Try elsewhere.

My current visit at Daniels Bagel Bakery was very disappointing. (July 22, 2022). Mainly I found that the customer service that I received was rude. The young lady who helped me looked exasperated and lost patience with me as I was trying to order. The combination of mask wearing and perhaps my accent made it difficult for her to understand. At the end of the order she did say something in Hindi to the gentleman who took the payment. I surmise from his facial expression it was a rude and derogatory comment what she said about me to him. As a result he treated me with same look of distain that she had treated me. In the future i will not be returning to Daniels Bagel Bakery. There is a nice selection of pastries, but I will not be returning as I was treated poorly.

Why haven't I reviewed Daniels bakery before. Lovely strictly kosher bakery in the lower end of the Finchley Road in Temple Fortune. If you're after a Cholla any day of the week get it here - always freshly baked along with Rye breads, Beigels, Cholla rolls, a vast selection of pastries and savoury items and filled rolls and sandwiches to keep you well fed. I'm pretty sure they do orders for catering. Only drawback is the parking. Lazy, people just park in the Bus Stop outside, they don't care about Buses. If you do drive parking is always a lottery. Park in a side street or - now here's an idea - walk! It won't kill you.

Their bagels are everything they should be. Other bakery products are not to the bagels' standard. Their cream cheese is excellent.

There is no price list you can see the put the price as the Go along one day is one price and the next day the same item Go up by £ 1 pounds .etc etc. The staff very rude and very unfredley I would not going there again !! I have been there customers for Many years

It was refreshing to find a Real Bakery the type I knew from my youth, right in the heart of Temple Fortune, my eyes were out on stalks as I entered, a myriad of freshly baked bread and cakes, more than I had ever seen in one place and all freshly baked, it was one of my forays out to the suburbs with my friend who had once worked in this amazing bakery, we were warmly greeted by the owner who clearly missed my friend who had worked for him for some years and he recognised me from years ago when he was one of my customers when I was a sought after expert in my field, this is an exceptional bakery, it main clientele is the local Jewish community who obviously know a real find when they see it, food is the language that all people speak and this Shop speaks to anyone who appreciates freshly baked bagels, bread and cakes ( their pastries are to die for and they have the best strudels I have ever seen ), I was lucky to try their rye bread, a bloomer interlaced with caraway seeds, great with smoked salmon, a gorgeous buttery cholla and a box of assorted mini pastries, rich, sticky and a real indulgence for someone who rarely has the opportunity to eat well made freshly baked pastries, I will beat a path to their door on my next visit to the suburbs to savour more delights trying to avoid the days when the queues stretch out the shop and down the street.

This is an excellent bakery. The bread, challot and bagels are very good. Their filled mini bagel plates are well worth getting for parties etc

Great Jewish bakery. There are usually queues on Friday mornings and on the eves of Jewish holidays. Excellent bagels, but also the cakes and the biscuits are very good. There is also a prepared food with salads and other things.

There is a good range of products.

Lots of choice, very busy shop Lots of poppy seeds in my bagel (yum) but precious little cream cheese . Would love to see organic bagels

Daniel’s supplied food for my 90th birthday party. Everything was excellent. We over ordered and cancellations due to Covid resulted with most guests being delighted to carry home doggy bags. Thanks Daniel’s.

We get our challah here every week (I love the raisin challah) and our sliced bread (dark rye, aka pumpernickel) but I’m actually writing this review because I finally tried Daniel’s for party catering (mini bagels with various toppings, canapés, and fruit skewers). They delivered punctually to my home and everything was delicious.

This is one of the best Kosher bakeries in London! They sell everything your sweet tooth desires. Their catering is fantastic and their salads are to die for. I will always recommend them!

Fantastic bakery with a very good selection of high quality patisserie. Quite expensive compared to similar establishments. Staff are not always pleasant especially when it's busy. But whatever.. Daniel's Bakery is an icon.

One of the best kosher bakeries in NW London and all the baked goods are super fresh. The salads and ready to go foods are really top notch and great prices. Best bagels in North London, smoked salmon bagel is my fave treat ever

As always the food made here is the best! We travelled from Birmingham as we moved away from the area to stock up. The staff were friendly and sorted a issue out with the order. Highly recommended - worth the wait if there’s a queue.

My favourite glatt kosher bakery, their challa bread is among the very best available.

Challahs are good. Staff are most unpleasant.
