Great local spot either for sit in or to takeaway/sit at the picnic benches when walking the dog. Great selection of cakes. Doggy muffins are incredibly popular - now can’t leave the park without them.

My wife brought me here for an evening meal. Lovely setting and excellent food from two coursemenu, with fantasticselectionof cskes. Service top notch. Great local amenity.

A truly wonderful meal in the fabulous Dandelion Cafe. The two courses for £20 plus BYOB is fantastic value and the staff are so lovely.

After some walk on the park and then you want to take a break while sipping coffee with nice brunch. Hey this is it, the perfect picture of Dandelion Cafe. I went there just to make a stop, but the atmosphere of the cafe as too mesmerizing, I had to delve into it, enjoy the coffee with french toast. P.S. The service was so nice, cozy place to sit and sip, family friendly, and lovely theme cafe.

A fantastic cafe in Queens Park in a light airy old-fashioned tennis pavilion. The food was delicious. Fresh and scrumptious. They say it's made with love and it feels that way. Great coffee. A friendly accommodating place and well worth the trip to get there.

We came along for the valentines dinner, they run special evenings about once a month. Food was tremendous, service was friendly and portion sizes excellent. Bring your own bottle too. We will definitely be back.

Good wee cafe next to the park.

My dog leads me here for the dog muffins but I'm not complaining, they do amazing lattes and delicious cakes.

I love this wee place ,had a hot chocolate and a brownie. Staff is always helpful and the atmosphere is good. Nice and cosy inside as it was raining quite heavily outside.

Wonderful location away from the hustle and bustle of main road cafes. Exelent food... oh did I mention the 'cheese' soups... friendly and efficient staff.

Place was heaving at lunchtime but we got in after a few minutes. Roll with bacon and black pudding plus croissant with cheese and ham were just the ticket after a walk in Cathkin Braes Country Park. Guy at the counter said it was always busy. Not surprised. We'll be back!

A regular spot for dining al fresco - the pleasures of dog ownership as they are; the staff are (generally) welcoming and supportive though some demonstrate a little more enthusiasm than others. Good coffee + excellence in home-produced potato salad are absolute standouts and the tray bakes + cakes are very good. Great sandwiches with Roast chicken in need of a special mention - just 🤩 One even gets to imagine that you could really beat the hardy souls braving the wind + rain + storm on the neighbouring Tennis courts; just order another coffee n’ cake 😃

Cakes and staff are smashing. If you live on the southside come on down! It doesn't matter whether it is rain or shine it's a great place to come.

Great place if you have a dog

A roll and sausage, empire biscuit, cappuccino and can of Irn Bru were just what the doctor ordered to cure the mother of all hangovers. Sitting outside in the sunshine was an added bonus.

The food is delicious, hence why I have given 3 stars however, it is overpriced for what it is. £20 for 1 takeaway roll, 1 takeaway ciabbata with halloumi, 2 cakes and a coffee. All 3 times I've been here the service has been slow (both sitting in and takeaway). First time I was there they gave us a free coffee because they took so long to serve us. However, ironically they charged us for the dog muffins but never gave us them (which probably counteracted the free coffee given). I'd go back as it a local business I want to support located in a lovely park, although overall I find the service a bit slow and all over the place and it not the cheapest place to buy food for what you get.

Great sandwiches, great cake and ice cream

Shared a very good sausage roll and a fruit scone with my other half. Can't fault the quality and nice to sit outside with the dogs.

We were looking for a quiet spot for breakfast, but nothing too fancy. Saw this on TripAdvisor and thought we would give it a try. Located in a small play park so lots of small children and dogs around outside so we are inside. The coffee was great. I didn't fancy a set meal so picked items off the extras section to create my own breakfast and my partner went for a breakfast roll. It was all cooked fresh and i suspect most of the items were made on the premises as the quality was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant as always. Homemade savouries and sweets/cakes! A lot of temptations here ....but who am I to resist all the goodies! Yesterday was no different... warm welcome by friendly staff. Best wee local cafe. The food is tremendous especially the homemade soup & delicious cakes. The empire biscuits and lotus bars are out of this world. My favourite thing is the staff. They are so welcoming and friendly. They do take away coffees and treats so you can enjoy a walk round the park. The cafe also cater for dogs in a small area and have doggy muffins & doggy ice-cream for them to enjoy.

Fantastic wee hidden gem in the lovely surroundings of Newlands Park. The cakes are delicious and all freshly made. I live in England so can only go when I come to Glasgow to visit family. Hopefully next time I'll come for lunch aswell. Very highly recommended.

I went here on Easter Monday following a trip to nearby Pollock Park - having dragged the kids to the park for a walk they were becoming hungry and restless. I promised lunch and intended to get food at Pollock Park - but due to the time of day and the crowds there was nothing left for my picky teens (2 daughters and niece). So I decided to head to The Dandelion Cafe having been a few times before. It didn’t disappoint. It was really busy but as we were sitting outside anyway because we had the dug- we ordered at the outdoor ordering station (great idea by the way!). We were served by a very cheery and efficient woman - didn’t get her name but she sounded like she hailed from across the pond! Food appeared in jig time and the surly hangry teens became almost chirpy and talkative! I’m sure I saw at least two of them smiling through their mouthfuls of delicious food. We ordered a roll with scrambled egg, a roll with bacon, a cheese and ham roll and a ciabatta with chicken bacon and tomato plus drinks. All reasonably priced too. Great ending to a lovely day! Definitely recommend for service, variety of food choices (even late in the afternoon on a busy Bank Holiday) delicious hot and yummy food and value for money!

Outstanding café! The food is amazing!! The homemade potato scones are incredible and the homemade empire biscuits are to die for!! Staff are so lovely and friendly! A MUST visit!!!!!!!

This is a great spot for brunch .. and cakes!! Have been several times and the service and standard of food never fails. Also been to a vinyl night - the evening meal served would have given a Michelin star restaurant a run for its money - and the music was great too!! Thoroughly recommend it any time if day.

Excellent little cafe/coffee shop sited inside the park. Excellent ice cream stop for kids. Great coffee and cakes for mums& dads etc. Also looks very popular with dog walking community of which there was many today. Staff really friendly and helpful.

A real hidden gem in a beautiful setting with excellent service, and dog friendly! We visited the cafe for the first time on a busy day, but despite this, staff were attentive and the food was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

A delight that too many know of.

Best bacon roll I’ve ever had, no big bits of greasy rind on this roll . I forgot to ask for the roll to have no butter on but when the roll came it had a separate little butter with it, a choice, if you wanted it. The pot of tea was enough for three top ups. I enjoyed sitting in there having this roll. The Place was clean, staff were attentive all in all i would recommend.

Really disappointed by the service yesterday when I arrived with my two grandchildren to meet two of their friends from Liverpool to exchange Christmas presents. It was almost closing time and a rude member of staff blocked our entrance and said we couldn't come in. When I explained and I asked if I could check to see if our friends were there I was reluctantly allowed in. The children were excited to see each other but the staff attitude was very uncomfortable and the children exchanged presents in the street. A complete stranger came up to us and said the way we were treated was disgraceful. I should add that my previous experience has always been very positive which is why I recommended it to my friends in the first place.

Popped in for brunch. Was really good. Had the Chorizo, avocado and fried egg on toast, which was the special today and very tasty. Also have a great selection of cakes which looked too good to not take a couple away! Also handy for a quick walk in the park afterwards.

Amazing lunch, wasn't expecting it to be great but it really was. If only all cafes in Britain were this good.

A fantastic idea have this cafe in the park. Catering the target mark of doggie's and their hoomans which need some coffee. Excellent cakes for dogs and hoomans. Other dishes are available for hoomans which are very good. A place inside and outside to eat. With nice roofed area outside 👍

My friend and I visited the Cafe in Newlands Park before noon and each of us had a beverage and a fruit scone with jam . The staff were extremely hospitable, the food was very tasty and served promptly. An very pleasant experience indeed.

Visited the Dandelion Cafe for the first time in 3 years and ordered takeaway rolls and sausage for myself, my Dad and my Father In Law. The price is bit more than you would expect to pay elsewhere for a roll and sausage but well...
