Dan & Angel Restaurant in Wandsworth

We dropped in last minute today. So thankful we did. What a find. We struggled to choose from a list of tasty dishes on the menu. We chose garlic prawns and squid and courgette fritter and then shared a pizza. Everything was so delicious. I am sure everything on would be just so. Definitely recommend.

We had such a lovely dinner at Dan and Angel. Amazing, attentive service and fresh, tasty food! Highly recommend!

I have been to Dan & Angel a few times before, keep coming back for their freshly prepared, delicious Bolivian style food. The friendly family-like atmosphere run by its owners who you will meet when you are there. Will be back soon to try their cozy cafe for fresh pastries/breakfast and coffee.

Dan and angel staff are incredible, and with fabulous food and great prices, this has become the regular restaurant choice for me and my friends. The service is always impeccable, they do all kinds of things to help, bringing out more tables or heat lamps if you want to be outside for example and always being patient. The food is delicious with lots of options to make everyone happy. In our group we have a dairy free, a gluten free and a vegan as well as folks that want it all, and everyone is excited to go here and always impressed with their meal. The drinks are also good. Add to that the very reasonable reasonable prices, especially for central London, and you can see why we love it. Highly recommend.

I’m a saudi tourist that visited london last year and was lucky enough to try this amazing restaurant. As much as I try to find a better pizza restaurant, I genuinely cannot. the food was top tier and I cannot wait to visit again. The ingredients tasted premium and the staff were incredibly welcoming to me and my friend. It was a very memorable experience and I hope i’ll be back soon.

This is a nice place in Clapham to have dinner. While visiting Clapham again, we were a bit apprehensive at first at the 'quinoa marketing', yet when searching for restaurants kept coming back to this. We had lovely food and nice service. Highly recommended as it's local and in the area when staying or living in Clapham.

We hosted an after wedding party for 31 close friends. Wanting somewhere convenient for most, we came across Dan and Angel in Clapham as it had excellent reviews. Our party was between 12:30 and 4 on a Saturday afternoon. The venue was perfect and they didn't mind us putting up decorations, balloons etc. What was outstanding was the food and Yandira (the owner). All our guests commented on the quality and quantity of delicious dish after dish. For us and our group, the venue size was perfect. Having the french doors open on a lovely sunny afternoon was brilliant. Yandira is a wonderful host and very welcoming. The communication throughout the planning was superb. We can't recommend the restaurant and the friendliest of hosts (Yandira and Carlos) highly enough.

Delicious food, excellent service and great value for money

What a little gem! We’ve lived locally for years but had never tried this place out, so we thought we would tonight as an impromptu date night treat. Our experience exceeded all expectations! The interior is modest, but the staff are lovely and quickly the place seemed nice and cosy. It’s dog friendly (though we left our dog with a sitter that evening). The menu is split between their pizzas, and then a selection of food which you could probably describe as “home classics”. I had the tricolour salad to start and the grilled salmon for main. Both were tasty and the portions generous. My partner had the chicken empanada to start and the chicken Milanese for main. The chips that were served with the chicken Milanese were INCREDIBLE - the sort my mother used to make. We have two rounds of beer. The bill came to £65, which I thought was exceptional value. The staff were friendly and attentive, without rushing us. My only complaint is that they had run out of cider that evening. We’ll be back to try their pizzas, but our recommendation is to try the non-pizza food, as it is filling, wholesome and delicious. We’re thrilled that this restaurant is right on our doorstep.

Visited with my wife on a bank holiday weekend. The food was great, we had the calamari to start and the mediterranean pizza/ meat pizza for mains. Pizzas made in front of us, lovely and fresh, tasted lovely. Staff are really attentive and kind. Value pretty good for the location. What I would say is that it was shame there was hardly anyone in there which meant the ambience was slightly lacking, which I don't think is any fault of the owners just unfortunate. All in all we'd return when next in the area.

Love this spot and will be back! Great food great atmosphere and really good value. Love they do wholewheat and quinoa pizza crusts which makes it healthier (hard to find in London), the tapas were really good and attentive service.

Really like their pizza with grilled vegetables. The atmosphere is warm and they had ample space for babys buggy. You can also look at the fire oven.

The restaurant is lovely, very cozy and the hosts are so welcomy and friendly. We had for starters 3 tapas: spanish tortilla (my son loved it), calamari (as I am a see food lover, I can say that I never had such a good calamari, it was very soft and the garlic sauce excellent) and spicy chicken empanada, which was amazing. The pasta with chicken and chorizo very good and the Dan & Angel pizza amazed me with the lovely savour, perfect balance between the goat cheesse, caramelized apples and onion and the fresh mushrooms topped with rocket salad and balsamic vinegar sauce. I can't wait to go back.

Our go to pizza place. The quinoa base is everything. A no guilt base I now prefer over the normal base. This place should get more credit. If only all restaurants designed menus like this we'd all be fitter and healthier. Well done team.

This is a restaurant with a bit of an identity crisis. It's a Spanish Pizzeria on a road surrounded by posh restaurants. The spanish food at Dan & Angel is far better (and cheaper) than the fancy local Tapas place. And the Pizza is far better (and cheaper) than the busy fancy Italian pizza place opposite. For a restaurant with an admittedly difficult theme to market, the food and service was worlds beyond expectation.

After living on this road for three and a half years, this is the one restaurant I will miss the most. We’ve been almost weekly customers of Dan and Angel and I can’t recommend this place enough. They are constantly pushing themselves to be the best and the recent addition of a sushi menu has been a game changer. However, the tapas selection remains our family favourite. The manager is like a friend, he knows our order before we sit down and often has a beer on the table along with his welcome. We will miss you and thanks for everything. James and Ameena

Delicious food, good portion sizes, and very friendly service. And importantly the price is very affordable, and is significantly better value for money than the other restaurants on St John’s Hill.

My daughter and her boyfriend live nearby and they recommended Dan and Angel not least because it had been so welcoming after a difficult early evening at another restaurant a few weeks earlier. The three of us visited on a Saturday evening. Great menu. Great value. Great food. Great staff. Friendly atmosphere. Nothing not to like. And all very good value. Loved it. Stannio is a gem. The calzone pudding is extraordinary. Leave room for one.

The best restaurant I been to for a long time! Pizzas were very tasty, prices totally reasonable and sold alcohol or had corkage so we could chose what we wanted. It was a long time since I had such great food and choice of food, even if I was to ignore the pandamic. Great choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes as well which I found great, as not everyone in a party is either or. Will DEFINITELY be back. :D

We've been to Dan & Angel before and had a great time, but our visit on Friday evening could not have been more of a fail. We turned up on time for our booking at 9pm, only to be told to wait for several minutes (in the rain) while they got our table ready. Sat down, got handed a menu and then when it came down to ordering, the waiter told us that the restaurant had, quote, "had run out of pizza." Considering you would have thought a pizza restaurant would have to get through an awful lot of dough by 9pm on a Friday before a bank holiday weekend - not to mention that the chef in front of us was whipping pizza after pizza up in front of our eyes - it was quite obviously a lie. I guess as we were the last booking at 9pm, they just couldn't be bothered to keep the kitchen open and serve us. We obviously made our excuses and left, luckily managing to get a pizza just 15 minutes later from the lovely Pizza Metro on the opposite side of Clapham Junction. It was a real shame, as we had travelled all the way from West London for our first meal out of lockdown, especially as one of us is a carer and that was her first Friday night off in months. Thanks again for the non-existent pizza and I hope you managed to replenish the mysterious disappearing dough in time for the bank holiday punters...

First time out !!! We were already very excited to be out and dining:) service was good and attentive, food was delicious if I need to fault I would say that having a heaters would it be advantageous.

Never got to try the food because they cancelled my booking a couple of hours before we were due to eat. By text. Without a reason. I can, however, recommend the tasty Thai restaurant across the street. Tables in the sun and friendly staff. Try the sea bass.

Good to visit if living locally. Good pizzas, good service, missed having fresh juice as they had run out. A wider choice of dishes outside pizzas would've been nicer.

I went here a few days ago and I had an amazing time :) the waiter was so lovely and patient and very helpful. The food was amazing too; the bread/dough tasted so fresh!

A tasty vegan stew for my wife and traditional paella for me. I will try the pizza from the huge pizza oven next time as they look great. BYOB was handy with an off licence nearby. A bit noisy on our visit due to Halloween celebrations but quality of the food more than made up for it.

Amazing service, amazing food. Loved watching the chef making the pizzas in the open pizza oven! The truffled mushroom risotto was just lovely!

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Extremely friendly staff, but not enough staff for the restaurant and it was quite hard to find someone to order anything. They were extremely helpful when you could find a waiter though and they genuinely wanted their customers to be happy. Overall, it was amazing and I would definitely return.

Went to dan and angels last night Thursday March 12th as I’m in london for a weekend with my girlfriend, service was brilliant waiter was very pleasant and attentive and the chef was brilliant, you could see the pizza being prepared and cooked, and the chef spoke to us whilst doing the pizza, I didn’t want gherkins so he put extra on my pizza, food was also very nice and very well priced, me and my girlfriend both said that we think it’s the best pizza we have ever had. Highly recommend. Good food at a very good price

Reconfirmed attendance, restaurant closed on arrival. We arrived slightly before our booking - waited a few minutes outside in the pouring rain, just in case the restaurant did miraculously open - but nada! Terrible service - they could have either called or emailed advising that they would not be open - yet nothing. We went to the Schoolhouse a few doors down, was excellent - and drowned our sorrows in their happy hour! Dan & Angel - whatever did we do to you - where you thought it was ok to leave us waiting out in the rain? Gotta take it personally, as when we left the Schoolhouse - you were open!!

I booked a table for my 30th birthday, with such a warm atmosphere we almost didn't leave and were not made to feel like we had to rush off,this is for the local experience, their quinoa pizza bases are amazing, everyone raved about it in my party.. Thank you guys xxx Sam

Atmosphere of restaurant is cosy and casual, good for dining with friends or on going on dates. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The food, especially the pizza, is incredible... either dining in the restaurant, or getting a pizza-to-go to go and sit on Wandsworth Common up the road (in the warmer weather). So lovely. Highly recommend if near Clapham Junction/St Johns Hill.

Overall a very disappointing experience. We arrived a few minutes late, the restaurant said they had no record of our booking even though I showed them the confirmation. They put us on a horrible table in the corner, my partner was given a damp chair from outside to sit on. The speaker above our heads was blaring loud music which was very unpleasant. On a busy Friday evening, there was only one staff member serving, so it was frantic. We left before ordering as the experience was so unpleasant. It was a shame as the food looked lovely.

Visited here on a Monday night and booking a table was easy online. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick. We had a pizza and the seafood linguini and both were absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced. It’s BYOB and they don’t charge corkage which is great. Would definitely recommend.

Was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. Food was very nice and the waiter/manager was really attentive. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Our very favourite restaurant, always a great welcome from the lovely owners, a proper family run restaurant that features a fantastic menu of both food and drinks!!! Abraham is a really great chef and as a family we can heartily recommend the pizzas, steak and my personal favourite the salmon, not forgetting the best ever homemade chips! Fabulous atmosphere for your party or celebration. What more can I say, just go, you will love it!!!

Went with a couple of friends yesterday and left very disappointed. The restaurant states BYOB on the window, we went and bought our own wine, were seated only to be told we had to pay cash as we we’re bringing our own alcohol. When we questioned the policy the waitress was unable to tell us the reason - cooking the books?! (It took the waitress three attempts just to bring wine glasses in any event) I ordered seafood paella at the recommendation of the waitress only to be served a bland tomato based risotto with some seafood - no vegetables at all as I would expect from a paella dish and no flavour.No one asked us how our meals were and our plates were left uncollected in front of us for over half an hour. We had to ask for the bill twice. This is a local restaurant and I believe in supporting the local community however I will not be returning.

Had dinner with some friends here as was in the area and the menu looked good from outside. Read the outside menu etc carefully or look online as they do accept tastecard/meerkat meals for some dishes and there is also BYOB option which are both brilliant however if you use these options you have to pay the whole bill by cash not card. We were unaware until the waitress informed us when we said we wanted to drink our wine, which is fine if that's the policy but its not stated on the menu you are given inside and when we questioned why it has to be all in cash there was no explanation that could be provided.Granted the restaurant was full and there was only one waitress but they service was lacking. Luckily we didn't need drinks as we bought our own because ordering them might have been difficult. We waited at least 30 mins for our plates to be cleared after finishing our meal and were not offered coffee/dessert. The service we did receive was pleasant. The food was average, we shared some tapas dishes to begin which were nice and the pizzas were good but the paella was a bit of a disappointment. This of course is personal taste and opinion. Value for money is there so this is to be considered.Overall an average experience, not bad but not great. Not sure I would return unfortunately.

When we came we were nicely offered to pick our table and everything was great, nice service, perfect white wine, delicious calamares with zucchini for starters and sea food pasta and paella for main. But once our plates were removed after the main dish we didn’t see the waiter anymore. The sweet menu was not brought over, the coffee was not asked about we had to approach him, once this is gonna be improved the five stars will be deserved! Despite that we are happy to come back as we really enjoyed our time there and like the decor of the wall paper.

Lovely evening meal. Simple surroundings but excellent, friendly service. All our meals were larger and better quality than expected. We shared and all thought the seafood linguine was especially great. Took own wine and price of whole meal was so reasonable. Will definitely be back!

An early visit (6.15), so the restaurant was fairly quiet, especially for a Friday night. Pizza picante was excellent and one of the tastiest pizzas I have had (and that includes in Rome and Florence !). The mozarello, avocado and pesto sauce salad (which we had as a side dish) was superb. Overall bill was very reasonable. My only comment to detract is that the male toilet was, I thought, well overdue for a refurbishment and deep clean. Why does that matter when the food is so good ? I just think it's important - in any food establishment - that all areas reflect the highest standards of care and hygiene. That said, it would not deflect me from visiting this restaurant again and still gets my "highly recommend" endorsement.

Teníamos calamares y pan de ajo para compartir seguido de 2 de sus pizzas caseras. Toda la comida era fabulosa. Y el servicio muy amable. Los precios eran excelentes con 2 tamaños de pizza grande y pequeña. Teníamos pequeño y era lo suficientemente grande, del tamaño de un plato. Toda la comida se hizo a pedido con ingredientes frescos. Solo perdí 5 estrellas porque los baños estaban bastante en mal estado.

Descubrimos esta pequeña joya y nos quedamos impresionados con el ambiente y la excelente comida. Hasta ahora probamos 4 platos, eran muy frescos y deliciosos, la dueña de la casa tomó en cuenta que quería más ensalada y menos carbohidratos, así que adaptó la receta.

Después de haber comido aquí en muchas muchas ocasiones, puedo dar testimonio de este hallazgo verdaderamente magnífico, tanto para la salud como para el gourmet consciente del presupuesto, que lo dejará completamente satisfecho sin perder el presupuesto. Un lugar de encanto rústico con pisos de madera de época y muebles antiguos con carácter real en medio de las paredes al fresco con una pizzería tradicional abierta, cocina moderna y bar de cócteles.

Had a meal with family here on a Saturday evening, thinking it would be very busy as the restaurant occupies a prime corner spot. it was actually very quiet and slightly disappointed as it affected the atmosphere. There was a child plying Fortnite on a computer at a table as we entered, not what I expected.

Llegó a Dan & Angel's para un bocado temprano en la víspera de Año Nuevo. Este restaurante es el hallazgo estándar del vecindario: pequeño, sin pretensiones, con buena comida a precios razonables. Probamos un par de pizzas, una margarita y la otra un especial vegetariano de Dan & Angel. Buena corteza, ingredientes frescos, el complemento perfecto para una casa barata, pero decente. Acabo de visitar Londres, pero si viviera cerca, volvería. . . a menudo.

We have been to Dan & Angel 3 times now and it’s only been open on one of the occasions we’ve been. The two times it was closed were Saturday lunchtimes (including today) when they were supposed to be open. No signage to indicate why they weren’t open. We won’t be back - not with making the journey when 2 out of 3 times they were closed.

Came across Dan and Angel online when looking for restaurants in Clapham Junction, what a gem! Healthy dishes with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend the pizzas and grilled vegetable and goats cheese salad. 100% worth a visit

My friend and I enjoyed delicious healthy pizza and we will definitely be back again. We were seated next to a large party who were a bit noisy but we soon got used to it.
