We accidentally saw this restaurant and took a gamble to give it a try. All I can say is that every element of our experience was excellent. We were met by Emmanuel who gave us a choice of tables to sit at. Our drinks order was taken by a lovely smiling waitress called Lua who we had a great chat with. After drinks arrived, we took some advice on the menu. My wife had traditional cod pan fried in olive oil, garlic and on a bed of spinach. I had cod with onions and egg. My daughters had the lobster seafood rice for two. We spoke with the chef, lovely Christina, who cooked everything and every dish was delicious. Dessert was home made brownie and vanilla ice cream. Again, just delicious 😋. Overall, great service, great food and absolutely lovely people. We will Insha'Allah be back. Happy New year to our new Portuguese friends 🧡.

Loved the food and atmosphere and would have given 5 stars as Portugal which I've visited a few times and the people are one of my favourites, the food was lovely and spent over 90 pound for 2 of us on a special sisters visit was asked to drink up quickly so a couple from Lisbon and Madeira could have our table as they were busy. Also was ignored at the bar when waitress was telling off a staff member. My sister lives locally and eats out frequently with friends but won't come again as we obviously not very valued customers.

Hidden gem! 💎 We visited the restaurant with a friend from Portugal who confirmed that this is authentic Portuguese food. From starters to main course and desserts,everything was delicious. There was live music too,which made our experience even better. Service very friendly and attentive. We would definitely visit again/recommend this to our friends and family.

Fairly good food, good wine but terribly slow service (over 90 minutes to get our mains) albeit friendly. Loud music mostly unrelated to anything Portuguese. I was hoping to find a hidden gem but it’s actually a place I won’t visit again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We love coming to this restaurant as JP is exceptionally friendly and the food is fab. if you like delicious, authentic Portuguese cuisine that is. My personal favourite is the calves liver starter, the sauce is delicious! The Carne Alentejana is excellent as well.

Nous avons testé le churrasco du dimanche midi, et nous avons été tous sauf déçus ! Viande excellente, les accompagnements aussi et possibilité de se resservir. Le rapport qualité prix est très bon, comparé à tous les autres restaurants londoniens proposant de la viande. Personnel charmant et efficace. On reviendra très rapidement !

We visit this restaurant often, sometimes just to have a drink, other times to eat. The staff are always welcoming and when we eat the food is excellent. We particularly like the BBQ on a Sunday. Atmosphere always good. Excellent recommendation for wine on our last visit.

I spotted it when I visited the pub opposite and it looked lovely from outside with nice menu so booked it for a family dinner. Great inside, loved the decor and atmosphere. The staff were so chatty and friendly, great service. The food was brilliant and well cooked. The steak tasted sooooooo good. Will absolutely return. Thought it great value for money, sick of being ripped off in a lot of places. This place was great price and worth every penny! I highly recommend.

Great atmosphere, had booked a table for 14 and all ready for us. Great service, friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food and range of drinks.

Churrasco Sunday special bbq - good quality meats and well seasoned and all v v tasty. We were well looked after and spent and enjoyable two hours over late lunch while it poured down outside. And, our dog was both welcomed and well looked after.

I really wanted to like this place as it looked ok from the outside and we liked the look of the menu as we love tapas, however when we visited it on a Sunday night it was a disaster! I do not usually leave negative reviews however in this case I have made an exception! We sat down and ordered a few drinks that took around 10 mins to arrive which was fine, pate and bread arrived soon after and it was pretty tasty. my friend ordered the prawn rissoles and they arrived and were completely FROZEN in the middle! The waiter apologised and to be fair he seemed to be trying hard but tbh the service was extremely poor! He forgot our round of drinks a couple of times. My main course was as Espetada which is a meat skewer thing, full of fat and not very nice. I had to ask twice for the Chiichurri sauce. My friend had the black pudding which come with the skin on which should never happen.My girlfriend ordered vegetable tempura and the batter was extremely thick! So not nice at at all. Would I return, no, not in a million years. I also removed the 12.5% service charge as there wasn’t any service!

Recently tried this local restaurant having walked past many times. The food was of a good standard and the staff were friendly and helpful with choices and recommendations

We went for the first time to Caravela. It was quite busy but service was friendly and efficient, and they were very accomodating with children. They have a very good selection of Portuguese wines and beers, and the food was delicious and Portuguese in essence....
