This hotel and group (there are currently 5 in the group with a new one opening soon in Newcastle and 2 more on their way), is clearly in a class of its own and thats high! From "look" to food, from staff to quality of service, all is about perfection and giving you the guest, the very best that you could get. Whether a guest staying over for work or pleasure or just wanting a drink or food, nothing dissappoints. Its about giving you the very best to ensure your experience is first class. That never wanting to leave feeling every time. Is it expensive? No because the Dakota experience is second to non. Special occassion or just popping in, all guests are treated the same, whoever you interact with. I cant recommend this hotel and group highly enough.

Lovely hotel, staff all very professional and pleasant. The room was good size, AC worked fine, lovely practical layout, nice big window too. The bathroom was excellent with a brilliant rain shower. Only negative was the bed was too soft for me but that’s just me, everything else was excellent. We had a double room and next time I would book a king bed for the larger bed. The whole hotel was spotless.

Each time I have Dined at Dakota, I leave with a smile on my face. The Ribeye is cooked to perfection. The service is also top class.

I had the most incredible experience at The Dakota Hotel , especially thanks to the restaurant manager Liv Miller and the amazing service. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed so warmly, making me feel right at home. It was my birthday, and they really went above and beyond to make the day special for me – from thoughtful touches to personalized attention, it was clear that customer care is their top priority. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was so inviting. I’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

Great service from Eddy, He always goes above and beyond. The rooms are immaculate. We got upgraded to a suite this time it was unbelievable, possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Shhhhh keep it a secret as the Sunday Lunch here at the Dakota is one of the best in Manchester, we’ve been regularly for the past 3 years and it’s just the best, lovely environment and the staff are simply just lovely !! 2 course £35 and 3 course £40, well worth it.

Beautifully designed restaurant with moody seductive lighting, dinner and drinks were devine, each course was well presented and devoured. Highly recommend. Staff were very attentive and all dietary requirements were met.

Our first trip was to Leeds city where we were lucky enough to visit the beautiful Dakota hotel WOW top class 🏨 Then we went to Manchester where we checked into this hotel, the hotel itself has the same beautiful surroundings, the hotel rooms are spacious, the bathroom is fantastically large with a nice bathtub, you at least get a good night's sleep in the beautiful bed. The staff especially their concierge he went out of his way so much praise from here otherwise staff are generally welcoming and they are helpful. The only minus I would like to point out on our visit is: poor service and lack of communication between the staff and their kitchen for breakfast, firstly I asked if I could toast the bread that was on the buffet, it could not be done only their toast bread. (It was then no problem at their other hotel in Leeds) Also I got my tea but unfortunately not the rest of my breakfast, after 15 minutes my toasted bread and egg arrived, would have been nice if it had arrived at the same time. 🤦In addition, I also ordered two glasses of water, the waiter had forgotten that, so I had to go up and ask for it again at their bar. I wanted my bacon to be extra done, crispy and deliciously crisp...but I got a sloppy cooked bacon, so it was sent back to the kitchen again. Apart from the service at breakfast, everything worked fine during our stay 🥳

Visited here for the cigar lounge and was very pleased with the high quality of service provided by sam and the extensive drinks menu. The bathrooms are kept to a very high standard. The cigars menu feels a bit limited to higher end cigars with not many budget friendly options which i feel is cutting out a section of the market and might dissuade first time smokers. Also the heaters in the cigar lounge need to be updated or supplimented for customer comfort. Overall a great experience but could use some slight work

Great and very central hotel in a quiet area close to the main streets and attractions. Comfortable rooms and beds giving an extremely relaxing sleep. Outstanding hotel. I will stay here next time also!

Great experience at the cigar lounge, really good service by the team there especially George ( think he deserves a trip to Cuba all paid for by Dakota ) haha. But he did really look after us first time smoking a cigar so he explained everything to us no rush great energy from him will be back again

We came here for food and it didn't disappoint. The food was incredible, so fresh, so tasty. The service was lovely too. A great atmosphere, perfect for date night or a special occasion, it felt lovely inside. We had a wonderful evening.

I couldn't rate the rooms. We only stayed for food. The food is phenomenal..... Tasty Different Small put just right The steak OMG.......... AND WHAT EVER YOU DO ORSER THE CAULIFLOWER, THIS IS A MUST!! And we have eaten and many places. Thank you soooo much. Compliments to Dakota, the staff, and most of all, the 👩‍🍳 👨‍🍳 chefs. Thank you.

Had heard great things about this hotel Stayed with my gf And we had a amazing time the room was fantastic. the service and friendly staff will help and be on hand day or night. Stunning terrace dining room and food . All cooked to perfection and portions were more than enough for the prices. Great little smoking room for a cigar aswell . the whole hotel just makes you feel relaxed . would happily come back again for another weekend soon

Dakota Manchester - lovely hotel. Amazing service, lovely staff, clean rooms, quiet hotel - amazing. We stayed here with our family, there was 13 in total, an amazing time. Breakfast was fabulous - arranged by Leah & her lovely team. The parking was amazing, bags were brought down from our room and put into our car. Honestly incredible from the moment I stepped foot in the hotel. Couldn’t have wished for a better stay.

I stayed here for two nights. The rooms were abysmal. There were pubic hair and stains everywhere in the room. Upon alerting the guest relations manager, she simply gave me a similar room with a worse view and other issues. The A/C kept turning itself off every two hours which made sleep impossible. The towel heater does not work which meant I had damp towels for my stay. No one came over to make up the room or replace towels. I have never stayed in a hotel where there was this much lack of care. There was rubbish from the previous stay everywhere. The icing on the cake for me was the rude concierge who does not know how to speak to customers, he acted more like a school teacher than a concierge, actually in hindsight, this is an insult to school teachers, as they would at least have the decency to greet someone. The 'concierge' was rudely admonishing me about why there is no valet parking charge on my account when I requested my car keys from him, even though I have added valet parking to my account at the reception right in front of him. After a lot of hoo-hah he finally got around to bringing my key which he was brandishing like a sword wielded by a medieval knight. All in all this place felt like a white-collar prison where you have to do your own bed and clean the room and have a archaic concierge who acts more like a prison guard than a guest relations person.

The staff have great attention to detail, they really make you feel that nothing is too much trouble. Kind, courteous and attentive. They are professional throughout - don't think twice - worth a visit. ( there were a group of 12 of us who stayed and everyone had the same service)

It’s the third time that I stay there and the experience is always good. The staff is really nice, the food is amazing and the rooms are exceptional. Unfortunately, we had a lot of large spiders in our window, which prevented us from appreciating the view or even opening the blinds. Since the hotel is fantastic and could somewhat impair the experience, really hope the management handles things

fantastic hotel, rooms are immaculate for an upgrade to a king size room. And the service is 1st class. I used the EV valet parking and my car was fully charged for my journey home today.

Beautiful hotel, calm and peaceful. All the staff are amazing - so welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the balcony suite for 2 nights and said we would go back. Valet parking is good value and service. Breakfast was nice and the terrace bar is gorgeous for drinks and small plates. Would recommend the bread with venetian dip!

I stayed at this hotel after getting married and I can honestly say it was one of my most favourable hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Service was impeccable. I have genuinely never experienced it like that before. I had a wonderful experience with the valet service also for my car. The food, incredible. I am 100% going to be staying here again when in Manchester and recommending it to all of my friends and family. The atmosphere, the vibe, was just exactly to my liking. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding night hotel.

Stayed for one night, arrived early but room was ready. Nice room, bar was very nice and great breakfast next morning. Highlight really is the staff very friendly & helpful. Will be back next time we’re in Manchester.

We stayed here for our 3rd Anniversary in the signature suite, It was STUNNING & the room was beautiful-we didn't want to leave... The staff were so helpful & brought up water & an ice bucket for our champagne. In the evening, we went to the Dakota Grill & the manager was so kind & brought us a glass of champagne to celebrate! The food was perfect & we shared the chateaubriand & sides , with the affogato for dessert. Id definitely recommend the terrace for a drink after ,The staff helped us pick a wine & it ended the night perfectly … We have been here twice now and it will always be our favourite hotel in Manchester :) -Meghan

Manchester United #1, I had the opportunity to stay at the Dakota Manchester Hotel for the duration of my stay Manchester on Oct 8th, 2019. From its modern exterior to its high-end interior, the decor flowed evenly throughout the hotel. Super friendly professional staff that went beyond the expected for my stay, making it as comfortable as it can be. High end room service with around the clock chief. I had a chance to get a deep tissue massage in town at the bamboo, which was very convenient. Service here is very good and it's a great place for a business lunch/dinner/drink. Food is pretty good, good quality steak 🥩 Hotel rooms are comfy but I have to say having stayed in numerous hotels around Manchester that it's a little over priced compared to other hotels in the area which have comparable rooms.

Spent both mine and the wife’s birthdays at the hotel, found that we were very well looked after and had been upgraded deluxe signature suite, and prive suite. Staff very accommodating and always look after us, hoping to return April and look forward to the trip.

very nice hotel however always too complicated with the checkin at reception. too slow. not enough staff at reception. such a time loss. and also credit card print as an invoice is so annoying for expenses report... but Dakota hotel will still apply it.

Loved staying at Dakota for the first time. Had the king garden room with a terrace. I had a very pleasant experience staff are very friendly and helpful.

The only hotel worthy of being labeled 5 stars in Manchester. Everything from their sexy rooms, delicious food and impeccable service is top notch! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I am in Manchester and their restaurant is exceptional and must try!

My partner and I visited the Dakota Hotel in February 2024 as we were visiting Manchester for her birthday. When we entered the hotel, the lady who checked us in was kind, friendly and accommodating - we felt incredibly welcome and she really went the extra mile for us! The room was absolutely incredible; it had all the amenities that we needed and was very clean. The bed was super comfortable and we loved the rainfall shower. The balcony was excellent, especially as we both like to get fresh air when we can! And last but definitely not least, the food. We had the breakfast and both loved it - super tasty and staff were lovely here as well. We then had dinner at the Dakota Bar and Grill, and oh my word, the food we had was absolutely amazing. My partner went for the chicken and I went for the steak, both dishes were fantastic and did not disappoint. I also really like how the staff went the extra mile as it was my partner's birthday. Overall, I would highly recommend the Dakota Hotel, be it for accommodation or even just for the food. It will definitely be my first choice for luxury hotels when visiting Manchester, which I intend to do often this year!
