An excellent South Asian restaurant. Totally Gluten and nut free. We were welcomed very warmly and given a lovely window table. Menu is extensive and everything was very appealing. Poppadums and pickles were excellent. Starters were fine. The spinach and onia bhaji was particularly good, the haddock croquetas were ok, nothing special. Both starters would have benefited from a sauce. Main courses were the stars of the show. My wife had had a lovely lamb dish in a rich sauce, and I had the Chicken Dosa, which was spectacular, although a little salty. Drinks were good, and service was excellent.

Delicious, gluten free, great location. BUT very expensive for what we got. 5 small pieces of monkfish in lots of sauce for £25 and similarly stingy amount of aubergine, again more sauce than veg for over £15 (£18?) Maybe they were eking it out because of the Christmas rush...

First visit and will not be the last. Different and superior to the usual Indian fayre to be found in Glasgow. Whilst it is pricey, food and portions and service fully justify the prices. I had the Yetti Masala and the prawns were decent sized in a nice spicey sauce. Unless you have a huge appetite one portion of the rice would do 2 people. They also do a lunch menu which looks like good value. Highly recommend.

Our son has celiac disease, so Dahkin was a must visit during our trip to Glasgow. We didn't do the tasting menu, but probably should have after everything we ordered. Most everything was great, except the flame cooked fresh prawns which had a mushy texture. Paper dosa was an impressive centerpiece for the table. For dessert I asked if the gulab jamun was gluten free, but the waiter didn't seem to know, so be cautious if you're a celiac and not just a GF fan. Had plenty of leftovers to take with us. Fun and pricey family meal we'll never forget.

Absolutely excellent food and service for many years now, and pleasantly different from what you'd expect from a regular Indian restaurant. Being specifically South Indian, you won't find a bog-standard Masala-esque curry or naan bread here, but you will find unique flavours (while the hotter dishes DON'T lose the taste), succulent tender meats, a great selection of dosa (to dip in and to scoop up anything that you might dare to waste), and top notch service. Personally, I'd recommend lamb Venchina Mamsam as a main course along with rice and the gargantuan Paper Dosa 🤤

We ordered from the pre-theatre menu as it’s cheaper (2 courses for around £17). My starter was a bit tasteless, which was disappointing. I had a veggie curry for my main, but it only had potatoes and a few bits of tomato in it, so was a bit dull. The dosa was nice, something I’ve never had before. They don’t have a children’s menu, but said they could make us up anything. They charged £15 for rice, chicken and sauce for a child under 2. Pretty poor. Overall wouldn’t go back as have had better Indians elsewhere.

Not being familiar with South Indian cuisine we asked the waiter who was excellent to suggest a couple of curries. My young lad had the Mysore Chilli Koli and I had the Venchina Mamsam. This is a restaurant we have eaten in many times over the years and have always enjoyed. However, today was quite different. My wife and I went for lunch and the first thing that surprised us was that there was no lunch menu - a la carte only. On that menu, starters were priced from £8 with mains from £17. We duly ordered some wine (£23 for the house Shiraz) and then ordered food. This included popadoms which they brought with dips we hadn’t ordered. These were a different item on the menu and priced higher. After 20 minutes we gave up waiting for our food and asked for the bill. Sorry guys, we won’t be back. Oh, and by the way, they charged for the dearer popadoms.

This was my sixth visit and was probably the best yet. My friend was visiting and he'd specifically asked that we eat here following two previous trips. My starter, Karveipullei Koli, consisted of chicken strips cooked with curry leaves and a spicy dip. We also had the poppadoms with three dips, a Sada Dosa and pints of Kingfisher lager. My main course was Venchina Mamsam, which is lamb cooked in a ginger and black pepper sauce, served with plain rice. Our bill came to around £70 and was well worth it. I thoroughly recommend trying this taste of South India and would suggest booking in advance especially later in the evening or weekends.

We booked this for my husband's birthday. We had been there a couple of times before and the food was lovely. We like the pre-theatre menu as the à la carte menu is overpriced in my opinion. The only menus on the table were the à la carte and, when I asked for the pre-theatre they seemed almost annoyed. Since we were last there, I have stopped eating meat. I have coeliac disease, so my choices are limited, which is understandable. I have always had the dosa as it's gluten free. My husband and our friend had meat dishes for starters and mains, which they said were very good. There were 2 veggie options for starters, bhajjis and spicy potato dumplings. I opted for the potato dumplings, however, had I known that the only dosa veggie option was also spicy potato, I would probably have gone for the bhajjis. Previously I've had their veggie dosa, and I remember it being full of a variety of vegetables. Unfortunately, this time it was just spicy potato, which is fine if you've had something different for starters. While it was nice, I was all potatoed out by the time I had finished. I realise they're probably cutting back, like many restaurants, but I feel that £17.95 for 2 dishes, predominantly made of potatoes, is a bit much. For this reason, I would be inclined to avoid this restaurant in the future. Although the service was good enough, we were never asked if we were enjoying our meal and I felt that, had we ordered à la carte, the staff might have shown a bit more enthusiasm.

Super lekker gegeten.

The food is very very tasty. The taste is different from the usual indian restaurant. So the experience is different. Price reasonable. The choices in the menu are a lot and all very interesting. I do not like spicy but my dish was very very tasty without being spicy. There are spicy options too... Service was attantentive and food came at a very reasonable time... We went on Thursday so there were few people... Hence low on atmosphere... However there is no background music nor there is anything in the restaurant to make a theme nor something about south india.. None that i saw or was striking for me to notice... Nice enough restaurant and looks very clean though... And has a woody look...

This was an excellent choice. Warm welcome, great food suggestions from an extensive modern South Indian menu with lots of new things to try! We opted for one of the tasting menus for 4 people & were absolutely delighted with the range of flavours across...
