Not so good. Overpriced for brunch and quality of food okay but the flavours and ingredients were not a good mix. Felt slightly disappointed and will not return. Price/quality ratio pretty below average. Freezing cold with door left wide open. Cannot recommend. Sorry but much better options available.

Fantastic brunch with delicious food and amazing staff. They found a table for 14 of us for a post wedding day brunch at the last minute after our booking fell through. We will definitely be back!

I absolutely love this little cafe, I am not usually in the Clapham South area and it was such a little gem to stumble upon. Good coffee, good food, good atmosphere. I do however wish there was a better system in place. The entire meal I overheard "Drinks up" from the bar staff. Having previously worked in hospitality I can tell that this was not the wait staff's fault. They were busy and doing an exellent job of serving everyone. However the impatience of the bar staff truly put a dampener on our experience. Perhaps a bell or a buzzer would be better than two men constantly shouting at their colleagues? Just a thought. But again, truly truly wonderful. Will definitely pop by again when I'm next in Clapham.

Very nice deli next to the Clapham South Station, service is very friendly, the squash and eggplant salad was delicious, I guess it must get very noisy at peak hours, but was very quiet at the time

Despite its young and affluent population, Clapham South has always struggled with good cafes, especially compared with nearby Clapham Common or Abbeville Road. Enter Daisy, a new-ish venue (on the site of an old betting shop) that attempts to deliver New York style brunch in a sleek Scandi-lite minimalist setting. One of its major advantages over many cafes is that you can book a table online, though this requires you to submit your credit card details and agree to pay a £20 fee if you cancel with 2 hours or don’t turn up. It’s a little pretentious - I’d expect this at the Ritz or Claridges, but not at a suburban cafe South of the River - and given how busy it usually is, at least on weekends, it’s a policy that seems unnecessary and a bit greedy. Inside it’s quite cheerful, though trying to do too many things within a small space. The best area, by the large street-facing window, is a communal bench/table (a curious concept in the age of COVID) and there’s a small bar near the kitchen for singletons on the go. The other half is crammed (and I mean crammed) with small two-person tables (ours wobbled), with one bigger table at the back for larger groups. Given its size, it’s incredibly noisy at peak times, so not recommended if you want a quiet chat with friends or to read the weekend papers in peace. The menu is your standard New York diner fare - Eggs Benedict, granola, club sandwiches, soup, salads, with lots of kale and veggie options for the Yummy Mummies. Rather strangely their only teas are Earl Grey or English Breakfast, and our server didn’t think to point out their herbal teas, though this only runs to peppermint and green tea - all very odd, given its oat-milk latte clientele. We didn’t order coffee though I hear it’s not bad, and like every hipster coffee shop they offer matcha and turmeric lattes. I ordered poached eggs on sourdough toast with apricot harissa (£9) and sides of bacons and avocado (£2.50 each, bringing my plate to a total of £14) and my friend ordered Eggs Benedict (£10) with salmon (£2.50, so £12.50 in total). A small glass of orange juice was a staggering £4, a pot of Earl Grey tea was £3 and a small bottle of sparkling water was £2. That’s a total of £35 before service, and no coffee or alcohol. (They serve wine, beer on tap, and cocktails for £9 apiece). Given those prices I was expecting something pretty special. The food arrived quickly, though wasn’t as warm as it could be. Though it was all beautifully presented, the portions were so tiny that I wondered if we’d mistakenly ordered from the children’s menu. The Eggs Benedict consisted of two tiny eggs smeared with a single teaspoon of hollandaise, on some kind of tiny muffin. My friend, a strapping lad who’d just come from the gym, ate it in three bites. My eggs on toast were fine, and the yolks were nicely runny, but the sides were pathetic - a single strip of streaky bacon (I couldn’t taste anything, let alone apricot or harissa) and a spoonful of barely half an avocado. We were finished in less than 5 minutes, and my friend was still hungry afterwards, so ordered a cinnamon bun (£3) - again on the small side and covered with some kind of sugary goop instead of the classic sugar glaze or fondant icing. The service was fine though not especially memorable, with no attempt at chatting, though they cleared the plates and brought the bill promptly. One waiter was a sullen looking teenager with long rock star hair falling over his face. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer waiting staff to keep their hair tidy and out of their faces, so we can make eye contact and so there’s less chance of hair falling into the food. So, adding on a 12.5% service charge, our bill was £42.26, which can fairly be described as a rip off. After walking around for a while, we went down to Buondì, a fantastic Italian deli on Balham High Road, and had some of the best food and coffee I’ve had in London, for a fraction of what we paid at Daisy. Given its popularity, Daisy is clearly serving some kind of local market, though I suspect this is largely due to it being on the main road, close to the Tube station and there being only one other cafe in the immediate area to provide any competition. If you enjoy paying near-West End prices for tiny plates of bland food, then Daisy is for you. I can safely say I’ll never darken its door again.

We were in the area this Sunday morning, and decided for a brunch meal. Came across this place and entered as we aren't locals, live on north side of common.. Asked for a table with the lady at front desk. We had a dog so were ushered outside but at least she filled dog bowl with fresh water... Ordered our coffee's and 2 plates of scrabbled eggs... A waiter returned a few minutes later with the coffees and when my wife asked for sweetener he didn't understand, and said was brown sugar ok... Then the 2 scrambled eggs appeared... we were gobsmacked the size of the portions, 2 sml spoons of egg a big spoon of harissa and 2 thin slices of toast for £9:50, extra £2 + for a side of bacon etc... The bill for 2 coffee's and 2 scrambled eggs was £27.5 and we then went to m&s across rd for a couple of pastries.... We aren't tight for money but don't like to be ripped off, which we feel we were here...

My wife had looked out this place before I joined her for a couple of days staying with friends who live quite nearby. Excellent flat whites & pastries - well worth a return visit, which I tried late the next afternoon but unfortunately they were closed.

I go to M&S minimum twice a week for lunch. I really like Caesar salad with a smoothie. Today I was very disappointed. The lettuce today was soggy, my croutons were soft and the dressing was watery. Listen, you are nailing lunch at the moment...please don't drop your level
