Daffodil Team Room in Newark and Sherwood

Found this little gem by accident but what a find friendly staff and gorgeous food that is so tasty comes piping hot as well. Would recommend trying this little diamond I don’t think you will regret it.

Brilliant food, great coffee. Lovely people We had breakfast here and the food was all freshly cooked and good quality. Everyone who runs the cafe are lovely people.

Several months ago this tearoom was recommended and finally we manage to visit this morning. It was well worth the wait as everything was wonderful, we were greeted with a smile and even though they weren’t officially open as we were early we were welcomed in. Full English breakfast was delicious along with my choice of toast and marmalade. Piping hot tea completed the meal.

We happened upon Daffodil after a very disappointing coffee at a very shabby establishment. This is a lovely tearoom very friendly and welcoming staff asked our requirements and suggested options. Very clean and such good service. The food was being freshly prepared by the staff and a great barista was in charge of the coffee. We will definitely return.

My daughter had a family ladies day out before her wedding at the Daffodil and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. As I was elsewhere, my wife decided to enlighten me to this wonderful location. It was a very sunny and hot day, but once we got to Daffodils, the outside seating and tranquil setting was amazing. A great summers afternoon with the most wonderful tea and cake. Very pleasant music from within the cafe. What a great place for summer days out. Highly recommend this place. Lovely, warm and welcoming staff. They remembered my wife from the other trip, so they do value their customers. Can’t wait to drop in again. Lovely cake.

Stopped off here after viewing a house locally. Lovely warm welcome, good strong coffee and a generously filled bacon butty!

Had a wonderful birthday treat with family. Thank you for the locally sourced and delicious food with unique recipes and friendly faces. Lovely venue and setting.

My daughter and I called in here for coffee and cake. Cake was delicious and there was a nice choice. Coffee was good too. We enjoyed our visit.

Went on a lovely Sunday morning and sat outside. We all had something different from tea,coffee,cake and breakfast all tasty and hot. Great staff, with indoor and outdoor seating also popular with the local cyclists. Would definitely return and we have.

Amazing coffee, beautiful Caesar salad, fresh and full of flavour. We sat outside in their lovely courtyard. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and one of the owners showed us round their beautiful renovation. They clearly took the business very seriously and were dedicated to provide the best food and customer service. Lovely clean toilets too. We wish we lived nearer as this would definitely become a favourite pit stop.

Heard the food quality and options were something else... we'll we all had a little something different, with flat breads, sandwiches and fishcakes all arrived on our table piping hot, not the sandwiches though lol. Must say, we will be returning with more friends, and confident they'll like this place too 6 stars from us.

I call here a couple of times a week with my brother for coffee and toast, and it is a lovely cafe with a great ambience. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is excellent. If you are in the area, then don't hesitate to pop in, you will be highly delighted. This ia an absolute gem.

What a wonderful welcome from the staff at the Daffodil. The lunch was very excellent and value for money. I cannot agree with the previous review: the staff/owner has always welcomed me and made me feel a valued customer, even when busy. The atmosphere was friendly. I will defintely be back and would recommend.

A poor show from Daffodil cafe, They seamed under pressure on a quiet Saturday morning. The owner incredibly rude to his customers, long waits for a simple coffee and cake. It's a shame these guys cant get their act together.

Had a full English breakfast, food was lovely and staff very pleasant, despite being very busy we didn’t really wait very long lovely place

You know when you go out somewhere for food and they get it absolutely right? Well Daffodil have done this exactly. Husband had cooked breakfast which was cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. I had homemade granola with yogurt and fruit compote (I’m addicted to this, it’s so nice). The coffees were hot and lovely. Service excellent. They are dog friendly also. And the place is spotless. Well done

First time I have been asked if I made a reservation for a cup of coffee! Cake was ok though. Probably won’t visit again.

First visit to this quality tea room which opened in September 2020. Enjoyed coffee and cakes , but The Daffodil offers so much more with breakfast, special food evenings and locally sourced ingredients. Friendly atmosphere and has quickly become the hub of this pretty village
