Da Vincis in Gateshead

Food is amazing when it actually arrives.. their staff aren't great either.. waiting over an hour for a delivery which I made via the website, so rang to ask where it was, was told it was on the way, 40 mins passed still no delivery so rang again to be told the website is down and do I want the food made now and sent out? Why say it was on the way if it never was.. unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened.. so no matter how good the food is, I won't be using this restaurant again.

Literally the nicest chicken kebab. I’m so fussy with chicken and this is lovely big chunks of chicken breast… so juicy! Garlic sauce is banging and I always go for the spicy chicken kebab with jalapeños. Unreal!!

Have used this takeaway for a number of years has always been good service and great food! In the last two months, the service has completely gone downhill, and they don’t even care! Items missing from orders! And my most recent order, I placed on their website and they weren’t even open and they still won’t give me a refund for it! I phoned and the owner just lied to me and said I’ve already refunded it! I would avoid using this takeaway they simply just don’t have any customer service and don’t really care either!

Hadn’t ordered for about a month. Pizza terrible, garlic sauce has changed and tasted sour 🤢. Delivery lad was spot on though so 5 stars for him. As for the business -5 stars 👍

Shocking service. Forgot most of our food on the order. Terrible attitude when we rang to tell him. Then would pick up our calls. I’d never order again

Food arrived late and wrong. Asked them to collect and refund and they said they would. They then didn't collect so after 2hrs I called them and they said to throw away the food and they would refund which they didn't. They now won't answer my calls and I still haven't received my money back. If you get your order at all it'll be wrong, and then they won't refund you, absolute disgrace of a business!

Regular customer but ordered food at 8.05pm. Told 45 mins. Food not here by 9. Rang to cancel. Food rocks up at 9.53. So u think its acceptable to have food come over an hour late. 2 hours later than order, 1 pizza!! . No more business from me

Order from here all the time and the food is always amazing! My mum just phoned up and the kind employee instantly asked if he was feeling okay because she's got a cold and her voice is a bit hoarse, doesn't seem like much but it really made her day! thank you so much to all the staff!

Good food but a little more expensive than other kebab/pizza shops.

Just had a chicken kebab never again chicken not cooked at all !! £18 for 2 kebabs … 1 definitely not cooked!! Won’t be returning !!

Ordered a 12” hot and spicy pizza and a 10” garlic cheese bread I was at the pub so got it delivered to my wife we only live 5 mins drive away, looking at the menu this should have cost no more than £17 and I appreciate there’s a delivery charge but when my wife paid it cost her £27.10 which was a complete rip off we’ve used Davincis loads over the years but I’ll not use them ever again

Don't order, your food won't turn up

Been a customer for many years, but in all honesty won’t be going back, quality of the food has rapidly gone down hill, very little toppings used for the price they charge now, it’s very very poor☹️

Cold when delivered. Delivered 90 mins after order. Very average food.

Awful customer service, staff are very reasonable but unfortunately under the leadership of a terribly rude manager.

After using this takeaway for many years ( as well as friends and family). My son and his girlfriend placed an order for over £30 and he was charged twice. Cutting a long story short after almost two weeks of him calling the take away and going in personally he was faced with the worst customer service we have ever experienced by the manager. His staff agreed that it was a mistake and he was given the receipt and was shown his online banking to see it had been taken out twice. All resulting in him giving my son £30…. Not the full amount but after a very stressful experience he accepted. This should have never came to this and was an absolute disgrace. I am extremely disappointed and unfortunately will never return under this management.

It pains me to even put 1 star, greasy food and awful management as well as the inability to charge orders correctly. Far from acceptable

terrible management and horrible customer service and got about 2 chips in my families order last time, wont be returning to da vincis and there stingy portion sizes

HORRENDOUS customer service and SO RUDE. I placed an order this evening through Just Eat. Despite the app saying it was on its way after 2 hours I called and was told 'it will be with you very soon.' Another 30 minutes passed and I called again to ask for an update. The long and short of it was they had messed up and hadn't created the order, and the woman I had spoken to 30 minutes ago was basically lying. Mistakes happen and as annoying as it is I can accept that however the woman I spoke to on the phone had a serious attitude problem. When I asked her to please stop talking to me in the manner she was she got even worse. She was rude, snappy and I am yet to receive an apology. So after 2 hours of no food a simple 'we're really sorry we messed up let me get that to you' would have sufficed but instead I got sassy Sally talking to me like I was something she had stepped in. Then after Sassy Sally tied herself up in knots with lies they cancelled the order told me the refund wasn't their problem and hung up! So I ended up having to drive in the ice to another takeaway to feed my family 2.5 hours after I ordered originally. They also made sure they told just eat I cancelled the order so I couldn't review them on there! Top job da vincis!

Been customer for long time. Never had problem until 2 weeks ago order came without drink, was told will receive free next time. Placed order for Margherita pizza last night and when opened box was a cheese garlic bread inside and no free drink. Really disappointed .

Food was terrible. Really was like someone had just gave up, I ordered the special it was full of grease and had no flavour. I thought I had corona until I tried something else that my girlfriend made which had flavour. These will never get another penny from me also was £25 for pizza and a side I didn't finish either of items.there is plenty places in swalwell for pizza. Choose somewhere else. I would .

Nice pizzas, although I did ask for no peppers on it and they put them on anyway.

Ordered 2 pizzas last night promised a 45 minutes delivery this was 8pm rang them 9pm to be advised they would be another half hour, turned up 40 minutes later, with a garlic bread as a gesture of goodwill for being late, all were not hot and nowhere near their normal standard, we have been customers for years and somethings going wrong, if you can’t deliver on your promises then don’t promise and don’t deliver poor quality, this is not the normal and we shall purchase again, but better be good, last chance

Absolutely no customer service, food late, three phone calls with different answers and the 3rd person hung up on us- food over an hour late and almost cold - DO NOT recommend !!

Got a takeaway tonight to find that the calzone pizza was cold inside and raw! The dough was not cooked, rang up to receive the girl saying "sorry about that, is there anything else?" This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered, will not be going back...

Prices are a shocking for a pizza shop and cold chips and pizza won’t be going back

Good food but shambolic customer service

Won’t be using this guys again. Called placed and order for delivery, was given a 40 minute delivery time. After 1 hour i called and was told it would be 10 minutes. After 3 more call and more lies. My delivery turned up 1:45 minutes late. Please don’t us this takeaway.

Took the granddaughters. A lovely place to visit. Great staff. Great fun. Very interesting.

Order from here every time I'm at a friend's. Always order spicy bolognese chips and cheese and every time they forget to put the cheese on it. This is an item on their menu so not like I'm asking for extras. Don't understand! Even when I've told them on the phone that they forgot the cheese last time and to make sure they put it on this time they still miss it off. I like cheese!!!!!

I asked for da Vinci‘s special came out 90% just Donna kebab 10% chicken and beef I got charged 14 pound for just kebab it should’ve been equally shared never go there again

Waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for £64.70 worth of food when told it would take 45 minutes. Ridiculous. Far far to expensive now. Delivery is now £3 which the drivers only recieve £1. BRING BACK THE LLD OWNER

Pizzas lovely. Chicken kebab very small for the price- used to sharing at most places but you need one each here. Their Chilli Sauce is the best I have ever tasted.

Rang the owner to speak to him about a messed up order. Was met with hostility straight away he couldn't possibly of got it wrong. Slammed the phone down on me twice and told me piss off saying he was ringing the police because he has no time for customer service. Used to use this place all the time never again

Been to a lot of pizza shop and fast foods and I never seen a fast and great food and lovely drivers and staffs every time I order the food comes in 20 25 minutes maximum and that's great for us I recommend here any Time any day please try it.....

The best take away in swalwell, if your in two minds about Chinese, Indian or pizza, choose pizza here everyday. Lots of topping, great service, no real rivalry in swalwell for any take way food
