We had seen the advertising for a Valentines Meal Deal. I enquired as if this was available at lunch time too, as we were travelling a fair distance. Communication was good and we were given a dog friendly table as requested. There wasn't the live music or chocolate dipped strawberries or cocktails on arrival, but we were the only ones celebrating at lunchtime, that I was aware of. The chef came & asked us if there was anything we didn't like and then produced dish after dish of delicious tapas. The freshness, the quality and quantity of every dish was gorgeous. We received more than value for money !! Our cocktails came with dessert which also included our chocolate dipped strawberries, also delicious. I had the impression that this is a new venture & a few service issues will no doubt get ironed out (no staff behind the bar when you need them). The old property also looks as if it is undergoing some improvements. I have no doubt that this is going to be a destination of choice for the quality of food on offer.

Absolutely diabolical. Service atrocious, beers had run out, no cutlery given and dirty when arrived. Change had run out in till, tables left dirty,. Very substandard, definitely not going back. Very miserable experience

Stopped in with the kids as we were looking for somewhere different to eat and had heard that the pub was recently under new management. We were amazed by the fresh new feeling to the place and being vegetarian I was blown away by the vegetarian and vegan variety as I’m normally used to the choice of either vege burger or pasta. My partner who has always been a carnivorous food lover was very impressed the steak she had ordered and the children both enjoyed there sausage and chips. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble which is great when you have young children. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for family friendly and special dietary needs.

We ate here a couple of times over a long weekend, and enjoyed the food immensely. Good menu, VERY hearty meals, friendly staff and, for a couple of Aussies, lovely to hear the Welsh being spoken.

Our dining club meets once a month and we visit nearly all the pubs in this area. Cwmanne Tavern is our most regularly visited pub for a very good reason. There are usually 10 to 12 of us. We have never had a bad meal or a bad pint. Good menu choice, not long to wait and the meals arrive at the same time. Always recommended.

Visited with Ford Gron Llanbedr Pont Steffan / Lampeter Round Table for a steak dinner followed by our AGM. We received a very warm welcome and the service in the bar and the restaurant was excellent. I had a mouth watering 16 oz steak (medium) with delicious onion rings, mushrooms, side salad and chips. The pints of Towy Gold, a refreshing golden ale (4.4 abv) brewed by Castle Gate Brewey, was the perfect tipple with my steak. We all had a piece of birthday cake to end our meal - happy birthday Matt! Thank you all at the Cwmann for the delicious meal and excellent service.

We arrived late on a Sunday and they moved heaven and earth to look after us as we asked for food and the kitchen was closed. They produced a lovely meal for 6 of us and we were very well looked after - thank you :-)

I have recently visited this establishment on two occasions, both for dinner with friends. It tends to be quiet so there are no issues with booking tables. The menu is small and simple, but the food is done well. I would recommend the classic prawn cocktail for a starter. It is tasty, well-portioned and comes with warmed bread and melted. The marie rose sauce is tart but not excessively so. I have had the Hickory BBQ Chicken and the 10oz sirloin steak for mains both of which I enjoyed, the chicken was supplied with a generous portion of sauce, and the steak cooked well to my taste. Do not expect anything fancy as, after all, it is pub food but there is plenty of it if a little dearer than one might expect. The service was fine and the waitress/barwoman was helpful when needed and served us cheerfully. I will be going again.

Enjoyed a nice trip down to the Cwmann Tavern, which lies about half a mile outside Lampeter town center. The entrance is a little disconcerting as it seems to be more of a side door, but once you enter the bar it feels welcoming and homely. The decor could probably do with some updating, but the extensive array of beer and cider name plates on the rafters lets you know that the owner is fond if trying a variety of different draughts. The food is tasty, but not to a fully fledged restaurant standard, expect old-fashioned pub food in genenrous and filling portions at fair prices. The pub offers sport, pool table, darts and a reading area which are all enjoyable. The pub does not accept card as of this review, but that is not abnormal for the area.Definately a pub that I will remember fondly for it's character.

A large party of us visited on a saturday evening, and I can honestly say that not one of the party had a good word to say about this place afterwards.Parking was really tight and the roads around can be busy so beware if there are lots of you.The decor is stuck in 1973 and it looks disorganised and scruffy when you enter. The locals were about as friendly as a starving bear and made it quite obvious they were leering at some of the ladies in the party. .The service is kinda 1973 as well... they haven't managed to take credit cards yet so you have to pay cash. It would be useful if they told you that when you booked. At least they now take sterling which I suppose is an improvement. When the waitress took our order she was pretty clueless. Charming, but clueless and had to keep going back to the kitchen to ask about the food. If she was new then ok, but help her as otherwise it's not fair on her or your customers. The food was pretty grim too. There was plenty of it, but it wasn't hot or tasty, nor was it all served together. The curry was about as authentic as a Tesco ready meal and the BBQ chicken was pale and tasteless. I'm no chef, but even I could have knocked up something better than that sad effort. The pub just doesn't cut it these days, avoid this place if you want a decent meal in a pleasant pub. I daresay that if the standard doesn't improve then it won't be open for much longer anyway.

We came here for Sunday lunch with friends, one of whom is a veggie so difficult to feed in this part of Wales! It made a nice change to not have to have a full Sunday lunch - everywhere else round here is generally Sunday lunch or nothing. The food was well cooked, plenty of it , the wine was pleasant, and the service friendly. The prices were very reasonable - what more can you want? We will be back...

we were down staying nearby and went for an evening meal, the staff were very helpful and friendly , the combo starter was quite nice however we both had steaks as a main which were very mediochre, all cooked correctly as asked however the meat quality was not great. I would point out that it was very reasonably priced and perhaps i was overexpectant.I would have quite happily paid more if it had been better quality.

Me and my partner regualarly visit the Cwmanna Tavern for a meal. There is a good selection of meals available and also lots of choice for vegetarians (in comparison to many other establishments)! The food is lovely - its fresh, cooked to perfection and what's more the chips are homemade! The service is great and the pub is well known for this! If you're a fan of good beer then this really is up your street!

Maybe the fact it was lunchtime and the place was empty may mean something.Parked in the car park to find a large dog in a small cage barking away.Entered the Tavern (now painted yellow by the way )Very dark and fairly steep slope between two rooms. Pleasant front lounge but no one around , checked the menu and we decided on basket meals, One Chicken breast and one Cheese burger meals ordered one Rose wine and a lager to accompany . Lager and wine fine but the meals let down by the chips I swear they where last nights left overs reheated, and a bill off £22.50 was a little steep in my view.

Quite simply the worst food in living memory. Paid £28 pound for a mixed grill and they forgot the steak and the egg, also no steak knife. Had to eat it as I hadn’t eaten all day.

Went there for Sunday carvery, what a great spread. There is all the variety would expect and all were cooked to an excellent standard. It is possible to go back for seconds should you wish. Great value as well for 2 or 3 courses (3 would be too much for most) On top of this the view is spectacular and the service is professional. Will be returning.
