I needed a last minute hotel for a stay in Weymouth for 4 days and this place was ideal. I stayed here a few years back and I remembered it to be a good reasonable option. I didn't want to pay too much as I just wanted a basic room for my shirt stay. The rooms fitted the job perfectly, this is a two star hotel but to be honest I have been in worse three stars. The staff are all very friendly and it's a nice pub to stay in. Plus, the pub is situated in a great sport for easy reach to Weymouth beach and the town

Get your front of house sorted! Visited 21.08.24 and bar staff member who served me was really rude to me. First impressions count and this was not good. He doesn’t know me but thought it was ok to swear at me. I would not recommend this place as it is not welcoming! Sorry my mistake it was Friday the 20th

On the corner of East Street & St Albans St, we find the Cutter Hotel. It's worth a visit if one is on the CMAT. The options are few and can be had anywhere, but the quality of the beer is worthy of the accreditation awarded. The Old Speckled Hen 4.5%abv was in excellent condition. More of a locals pub regarding the bar, but being a 4 bedroom hotel in a coastal town, it will attract constant patronage. Reviews in this regard, however, are mixed. A Gd ll listed building for those interested in the subject, early 19c.

I didn't stay at the hotel. But in front, I liked the area and the atmosphere. I saw many people in the place. And they seemed very happy. It has a bar with chairs outside.

Closest proper pub in Weymouth to the beach. Friendly staff and a great place for karaoke! Lovely sun trap in the afternoon and a fun atmosphere.

What a lovely local! Paul and Kelly have done a fantastic job of turning this pub around and I can't wait to come back. Very friendly service and all the staff know how to have a laugh. Look forward to seeing you all again!

Imagine opening a tampon in the ladies toilet (where else would you do this?) to then receive evil looks from the FEMALE bar staff (surely she’s had a period before?) and then be accused of taking drugs in the toilet because she heard a rustling coming from the cubicle! Safe to say a round of 5 drinks was wasted and no refund offered! Absolutely disgraceful behaviour after having to announce to the whole bar that you’re on your period, the lady (if you can call her that) was still so rude! Will never visit ever again. Needs to brush up on their customer service! In response to your reply. I am the lady who was accused of taking drugs in your establishment and I would recommend updating your CCTV or actually reviewing it before replying as that is not what happened at all. I was not confronted about this until returning to the bar and advising my friends that we should probably finish our drink quickly as the bar maid clearly has an issue with us (proven by the fact that she entered the cubicle after me muttering a rude comment under her breath and then throwing daggers across the bar at us not the other way around). Your member of staff then summoned me to the bar in an agressive manner and said ‘alright then tell me if I’m wrong but I heard rustling in the toilets so you’ve taken drugs’ to which I replied it was a tampon wrapper! So yes the full bar then found out I was in fact on my period as I would rather that than be perceived as a drug taker. You can guarantee I will not be returning so therefore being barred is irrelevant. I can also assure you we visited lots of other bars during our stay with no issue what so ever so I will sleep well tonight knowing we will be able to visit Weymouth again. A little tip as I’m sure you will find yourself in this situation again given the previous reviews I’ve read- Politeness goes a long way when accusing an innocent person of being a drug user! Your bar maid dealt with this situation completely wrong and you’ve made yourself look worse by not just owning up to that fact and offering an apology!

Ordered nachos as a starter. It came 45 minutes later. April 22nd 6.30.however this was because of unexpected staff shortages .which have now been explained.with this in mind we will visit again when we are next in weymouth.
