Same people same problem only a matter of time before it all goes off its a shame nice staff have no control who they let in

No lager again this pub used to be my local but bar staff are incompant cos to busy selling cocaine! Shut the place down cos it's a drug dealers main place of business

its had a re fit last year and looks a lot better but still same and still same crowd not brought many new faces in

This pub has recently undergone a refurbishment which it drastically needed. Absolutely improved it's image. Same clientele. Very competitive prices, eg 1.70 for a pint of cider and most beers. Pool table in bar and electronic darts board. Friday and Saturday entertainment. Quiz night Sundays. Outside also improved, the seating area and car park resurfaced where required. Sky TV for sports. I hope the pub maintains its appearance and reputation by keeping up standards of cleanliness, hygiene, customer services and safety of customers.

Called in and was very pleased with the work carried out. All areas greatly improved whilst prices remain very competitive . Excellent place to pop in for a nice drink in nice surroundings.

This pub is in desperate need of renovation. The carpets are awful, it badly needs modernising, decorating,brightening up.It has outdoor seating,a separate area for children but mind the carpark is covered in glass. All in all not a nice establishment. Avoid at all costs!!

Don't get me wrong, the people in this place are friendly and welcoming. The staff and management are the problem. An elderly man loses his wife of many years, he finds pleasure in giving dog treats to dogs which come in, dogs get excited and bark; the staff say its dog friendly pub, no barking? The dog gets barred, though he never drinks alcohol. The reason for the title deliverance is, if your not in with the management, its: "your not from around here boy". The staff specialise in service with aggression and contempt.towards the none "chosen".

This is a pub it does not do food. I decided to try this pub again now it has changed it's management and I must say the beer is much better you can tell the lines are now being cleaned it was nice to see the old staff again Dave the barman is very good and always polite. The prices are good too. I do hope the company now spend a little money on the place a lick of paint knew carpet and knew seat covering would go a long way to make the place better and the gents toilet doors need sorting out and they still need a bin in them I am sure they will sort this out. Keep up the good work.

Enter at your own peril. Needs major furbishment. Toilets should be condemned. Customers and staff nice and pleasant. Seems in a time sharp, the past a long long time ago. Brewery should revamp it's in a prime location with large car park alas no food

Love this pub, the staff and the drinks, the pool 🎱 table is amazing. Staff is very friendly and kind. Totally recommend 👌💙

The pub is still the same, only the door staff don't do there job, especially 1 of them, sits on his but all night

Okay as a pub but not a good Dining experience. We have tried several times as we live local. The last time we ate there the food was very average and wine list limited as out of stock. On next table the language was disgusting and one young lady even playing with a football.. kicking and displaying her skills. Was like being in a playground. Manager didn't bother to stop themso we left.

Excellent staff run a very nice pub, drink deals are available and on a sunny day is nice to sit outside and cill with friends.

I love drinking in here, the place could do with a refurb but overall I like to come here. The staff are really nice and the DJ is sound

This pub is very dirty the beer is bad lines do not get cleaned on a regular basis. We all thought when Jamie took over things would get better they have got worse far to much trouble in there Jay the doorman is a joke but gets away with anything far to much drugs in the place the place needs to be sorted out needs a full refurb and better management someone who will clean the place up and get rid of the scum.This place does not do food thank god it is far to dirty.

Good customer service great staff great atmisphere was welcomed as soon as you walk through the door and its a good local public house could not fault it one bit

Came here to work nearby as a contractor back in late April and its proven to be my kind of pub. Real in every sense, from the staff, decor and clientele. It's rare to visit a new Town pub from away and be accepted as one of the locals which is how it feels for me here.Can't praise it enough if you like down to earth folk in down to earth surroundings.

Pub OK shame about the well outdated decor needs brightening up. The beer is usually fine, good manager, some staff need to leave there phones at home

A case for a dated, dirty pub to close. Barmaid was pleasant but that's the only good thing to say. Loud, foul-mouthed drunks (at 5.30/6pm) heard throughout the bar, not controlled. Furnishings not clean and worn beyond belief. First and last visit in one !

Nice and friendly atmosphere great priced beer and fantastic staff always a pleasure to visit this pub. There is always live sport on the televisions and you can request for a specific sport to be put on I would encourage everyone to visit.

Fantastic place for family and friends to enjoy a day whether it's pop or alcopop !! Has great live sport daily plus in house events !!

A really friendly And welcoming pub. Happy and helpful staff and great for either a quiet drink or a night with friends. The family events are also great and the kids love it!!

Visited for a kids fun day today. Was loads for them to see and do they thoroughly enjoyed there day, I would definitely recommend visiting as the staff are really friendly and there is a really nice atmosphere about the place when your drinking with friends or when your with your kids like today! Only downside is that it looks a bit run down but was informed by the staff that it would be undergoing so refurbishment soon, can't wait to see the results of that!!

My daughter and I visited this pub today as they had a family day on. We both had a fantastic time! Val and her staff gave us a warm welcome and looked after us all day, couldn't ask for more. The only downfall is that the decor inside the pub is slightly dated. If it was done up it would probably be the best pub in the area for me. Definitely recommend others to visit.

I called into the custom house with my family it was great there was a family fun day there was loads to do the staff were really helpful and friendly the kids said that their favourite thing was petting the reptiles definitely worth a visit we'll be going again. Great pub for all the family.

Great place to come and meet new people! Friendly and warm welcome by staff and locals. cheap prices and great deals. Great selection of drinks!! Also getting a refurbished soon so ive been told by staff so shall be visiting again!!!

If you do not live in the area I would advise against visiting this establishment otherwise you will find yourself under close scrutiny by the locals who are very suspicious of strangers.

Nothing to say once was a great place to meet and have a drink sorry to say now very poor most of the regulars have since left and meet else where

The Custom House is a good place to go if you either like well priced beer (they offer 4 pints for £7), sport (they have a few big TVs with sport on them) or a good dance on a weekend. I usually go here before going elsewhere, but you could easily spend a night in here.

Really Great Place to relax or watch the football really clean and excellent value
