Alojarse allí con un grupo de turismo por Escocia. Gran bar con muy buenas bebidas a precios razonables. Tuvimos tres desayunos allí que también eran muy buenos con comida fresca. Gran café.

Ordered burger with a fries (which are not included in price of the burger), meat was cold and burnt, bread was soggy, no taste at all. Really unfortunate for this good looking place.

Lovely Sunday Roast dinner in a beautiful setting by the River in the city..The portions were large and the food was delicious, especially the strwaberry chessecake which was served in a bowl and was just so light and yummy..the staff are very friendly and professional..We stayed at the hotel so had breakfast at the venue too which was also lovely..Shout out to David the manager who looked after us during our stay and meal..

Our meal was excellent - the salmon executed flawlessly and accompanied by a delicious “cake” of root veggies. The rocket salad with Parmesan was perfect. They have a fully integrated bar, and creative desserts. Millena was attentive, charming and hard-working. While our family meal was not an “everyday affair” we in no way resented the price tag. I think anyone staying at the Clayton Hotel would not regret it.

Myself and my partner attended at the Custom House Restaurant on 14th Feb as part of an Itison offer for a pre-set Valentine’s Day meal. As we arrived we were delighted with the venue, clearly newly renovated and a lovely venue. The atmosphere was good and attentive staff showed us immediately to our table in the very well decorated main dining room. We were brought our glass of Prosecco and menus straight away and our order taken. A great start and expectations were high. The first course was brought in timely fashion and was a lovely squash and chilli soup, I couldn’t wait for my steak main after having such a nice starter. We ordered another drink which came within a reasonable time, all was well, until they appeared to completely forget about us. Around an hour after we had finished our starter, we still did not have a main course. We had never been offered another drink despite sitting with empty glasses for most of the time. There was plenty of staff and the restaurant was not particularly busy. We noticed that everyone around us was being served their main course, even those who arrived some time after us. I had to stop a server and make them aware of the situation at which time it became apparent that they had completely forgotten about us and possibly given our mains to another table. About 15 minutes later our steak arrived. We had ordered two Fillet steaks medium rare and when placed down there was immediately a visual difference between the two. One was a reasonable size and looked well cooked, the other was visibly burnt and almost half the size. When I cut into the burnt steak it was also overcooked. I signalled a server and sent it back. My partner enjoyed her meal alone while I waited another 10/15 minutes. Very romantic. At last my new steak arrived and to my surprise it was a Ribeye and not a Fillet. Hunger I decided I would eat it even though it was not the cut I ordered. The top of the steak again had visible burn marks, not nice seared lines but visible burnt. I wanted to like it but all I could taste was charcoal despite it being cooked to medium rare as requested. At this point I asked for the manager who attended and was very apologetic. She offered us another drink and some more food but by this time it was too late and we merely requested the bill for the two drinks purchased as the experience had been tainted. The manager did not charge us for the drinks and we left. Due to how the evening had went we returned home as the whole evening had been ruined and we were no longer in the mood to celebrate. Kebab on the way home for my dinner was not how I envisaged my evening ending.

He estado aquí varias veces.

Delicious freshly made scone with Butter and Jam and superb Vanilla Latte (Mum had an amazing Mueille Feuille) cake. Lovely friendly, helpful staff who were engaging and couldn't do enough to help us. It's also great for people like one of our family members who use a wheelchair. We had never been before and had a great experience.

If you want a nice hot, tasty, home cooked, good value breakfast, GO ELSEWHERE! Where do I start? I ordered the full all day breakfast, at £9.50, it was not cheap and when it arrived , not looking very good value. The positives. The rosti, beans and toast were nice and hot. The negatives. 2 sausages the size of chipolatas lukewarm. Mushroom stone cold. Streaky bacon, well undercooked, greasy and stone cold. The poached eggs were meant to be soft. They weren't and again barely lukewarm. I complained about the bacon and was brought another plate of cold, greasy undercooked bacon. I again complained and the waitress said she would get me a refund. I said I wasn't wanting one. However, a few minutes later, Jocelyn the restaurant manager appeared to let me know we could have a free hot drink but no way was I getting the refund which I hadn't asked for! Apparently it was no ones fault. I learned that everything is cooked, sorry heated to pre programmed times and temperatures. Also, and perhaps the worst. The poached eggs are deliverd in a little plastic pod with water, I assume partially cooked , and put into hot water to set. YEUGH! Pity they weren't in a shell like other eggs. My wife had the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Obviously not fresh made, just heated. Her bacon was the same as mine. At £8.50 it was a disgrace. We won't be back. M&S was always known for quality. What has happened?
