I've been having Indians from this resteraunt for 15 years. I've never had a bad meal and I have tried all local takeaways in Ystradgynlais,pontardawe and godregraig. This is by far the the best of the lot. Weekends can get busy so collection can be better than delivery

The owner is very unprofessional idiot . This idiot makes ordering so annoying.Customer service is very poor.

I ordered food at 5:30, it arrived 7 o'clock, Freezing. It would have been Nice if it was Warm. It's in the Bin now. waste of £20.

Ordered food on Just Eat fot 5:50. Now 6:30. Phoned resteraint and they said it was on the way. I asked how long. He said 15 mins. How can this be as I live 5-10 minutes away.

The service needs a lot of work, but the meal we had was excellent, Decor could do with an upgrade, Plenty of parking just down the road (50yds) which is handy. As long as you'r not in a rush and have good company it's okay.

Proper Indian food. Good selection of meals on menu. Cracking food. Probably had over 100 meals over the yrs. Never been disappointed. Deliver all over local area too. And take card payment over phone for del. Which is extremely handy!!!

Ordered food for the family to be delivered they chanced delivery time twice for it still not to show up. i tried phoning them no one answers. Then two hour on still no delivery so decided to drive up to get it from them to tell me they are no longer doing deliveries and no record of me paying.I now have had to go to a better indian restaurant in ystragynlais and wait again WHAT A JOKE OF A BUSINESS FUMING

Attended this place (Can't use the word resteraunt doesn't cover it) Saturday night for the first and last time.  For those of you that have seen Rhod Gilbert the man with the Battenburg tattoo DVD you'll know about the redhen part. This I'm 100% sure is  the Indian equivalent. Sadly I took no pictures as I could not wait to get out of the sxxxhole. On entering the place it looked like a striped out shop front with a few  cheep tables n chairs in it. The decore was horrendus. There was a gas heater in the middle of the room with a spar callor gas bottle feature next to it very authentic not. The one waiter was clueless and had to re do the tables for 10 if us that had the misfortune of attending this pit. After a while he managed to take our order I asked for a vegitable madras he asked if I wanted fish madras? Not the best start. After confirming  vegetable not fish (easily mistaken) I decided to attend the toilet. This is where the fun starts.  As I walked passed the bar/till to the toilet area to the toilet area it became darker. The lighting was poor. In the corridor to the other part of the shxxhole I notice a  fridge freezer to the right. On top of the freezer was three industrial size pots of yougurt like big plastic  tubs of paint. The lids were partly on and the going off yougurt could be seen clearly  Then came the wider part of the corridor this contained a further  collection of that traditional resteraunt look callor gas bottles and a table covered in all sorts of  cxxp. Next to this was a child's high chair complete with dried stuck on food from a previous victim. Then came the two steps to hell. The carpet on the two steps into the toilet was breath taking. It's was some sort of pink I think apart from what looked like an oil spill  desaster up the middle about 20 inches across both steps.A thick black strip of filth from back to front of the step. I stepped over it in fear of getting stuck like fly paper. The toilets has it's own echo system it was freezing, damp and smelt of pixx and damp. The two hand towels stitched together to dry your hands with must have been changed in 20and never. I returned to my table and friends  and whilst pondering to eat or not I got up after about an hour's wait handed over my unopened can of Pepsi and left. Sxxt does not cover this place mind blowingly mesmorisingly sxxt still  doesn't cover it. Slum one of the boys described it as. I dread to think what the kitchens like. I didn't even stop to see the rating on the door as I left my guess it's a minus or it's not been done yet. Utter sxxxhole stay away!!! Date of visit: March 2019

ordered a takeaway tonight at 5.45 it didn't cum till 7.45 after being told it would b 45mins to an hr, not only was it freezing cold but it was absolutely tasteless , what a waste of money.

Granted we ordered a takeaway to be delivered on one of the busiest nights of the year but if you can't cope with it don't offer delivery on that night. We ordered our food and when it arrived it was wrong, So I called the restaurant back to let them know. All I got from the person taking the order was "What do you want me to do about it? We are busy" so after eating a small portion of a very bland meal that we did not order the majority of it went in the bin. What a waste of money. The one star is for the delivery as the guy was very nice.

The restaurant has recently been refurbished and it has a really nice atmosphere. All of the staff are extremely friendly and the food is excellent. Would definitely recommend visiting or having a takeaway from them

ordered at 6.30pm arrived at 9pm. was told they were busy and we be roughly an hour. turned up cold , driver had a drunk passenger and didn't receive change

I finally got around to trying the Naga chicken which I'd imagined as the thermonuclear option, it was just Vindaloo hot and the chillies had been cooked into hard little strips so texture was not pleasant. Also ordered lamb dish, all the meat was tough & rubbery - it ended up in the bin. This lamb obviously hasn't been matured, if you're cooking meat which is too fresh you need to stew it. Rice was awful, lots of 'crunchy bits' as it hadn't been cooked properly. Left very annoyed & disappointed after spending £30. I've scored down on value as it's very poor value if you throw most of it out.

Used to eat here regularly and never had a bad meal. The Poppadum's were a fantastic way to start. Since my wife has had to go dairy free I am restricted to Takeaways. Again always found food very good and have no difficulty understanding the staff.

I've ordered takeaway on a couple of occasions. I find the Proprietor very difficult to understand due to his strong Indian accent, our conversation is usually a comedy of errors. It annoys me that his final sentence is always, "Any poppadoms or chutneys please?" If I wanted poppadoms or chutneys I'd have obviously asked for them while ordering. Delivery times OK considering it's not that close to me, food usually warm but not hot on arrival. Delivery charges are on the high side. They have a menu online but it's very out of date and the prices are actually much higher. Prices overall aren't bad. Food is competent if not exciting. I'm building up to trying the Naga chicken which I'm anticipating will involve nuclear levels of heat - it's nice to see somewhere brave enough to include such unusual dishes in their repertoire. I always pay the extra 50p for chicken breast & you do get a huge amount of breast meat. They sell the largest Nan bread I have ever come across. My order from this outlet was informed by it's current food hygiene rating of 3/5, (generally satisfactory).

I don't eat in at this restaurant very often but every time I have the service is fair and the food is always good ,but I have a take away delivered from hear weekly and the delivery prompt and the food is hot and it's very good curry !

Called here in a Saturday night, a last minute decision. Was certainly not disappointed. The food was excellent. I ordered chicken dhansak. The owners was more than helpful. Will definitely be returning,

Love it here. We visit regularly. Good food at a reasonable price. We have visited in a large group, and just as a couple. Friendly helpfull staff.

Este fue mi local para las edades y a lo largo de los años, la calidad de la comida variada de horrible de genial, pero en general, es un local muy sólido hindú. Las porciones son geniales, es un precio muy razonable y ha sido mucho tiempo ya que había un mal curry desde allí. Las madras en particular es uno de los mejores en la zona. El personal es de verdad muy acogedor y amable. Se lo recomendaría a la otra india en el pueblo cada día de la semana como Curry noches es mucho más delicioso.

Utilizado para llamar aquí bastante regularmente hace algún tiempo, pero nuestro lugar regular actual estaba lleno de Navidad juerguistas, así que tuvimos que encontrar una alternativa. Nos alegramos que hicimos, el lugar y el personal no han cambiado mucho, pero la comida era mucho mejor de lo que yo recuerde. El personal es muy servicial y agradable, pero la sorpresa fue el precio. No puedo entender a algunas otras personas diciendo que es ser caro! Me pareció que la factura estaba mal en nuestro favor hasta el registro.

Really disappointed. Ordered at 7.30pm, was advised that it would be with me in an hour. Food arrived 2 hours later & had one item missing. Dreadful. Will never order from here again.

Food quality tonight was very good, soft succulent tasty chicken, today my food was still hot when I got home, I had a Take-away, special fried rice was fresh, portion size has improved too, despite prices still being a touch high, I'm overall very happy after tonights experience :)

Not the best, but not the worst Indian either, small restaurant, catering more for takeouts, than eating in, recent price increases and a drop in food standards bring me to an Average 3 point rating, I'll amend this review if standards improve in future :)

Celebrated New Years Eve at this my local restaurant. The staff and quality of the food is up there with the best Indian restaurants I have been too. My choice of meal is always Lamb Rogan Josh whilst my wife likes Chicken Shaclick. I have a friend from Liverpool who loves going here claiming the food to be as good as anything he has had in Liverpool. It is not a posh place but clean friendly and good food. They provide a free delivery service that I often take advantage of. Give it a try you won't be disappointedWilliam Roy Edwards
