Curry Night in Braintree

My husband and I treated ourselves to a curry from here New Year’s Day. It didn’t taste terrible but it wasn’t good either we were really disappointed. My chicken tikka masala was chewy the sauce watery and low and behold I’ve had an upset tummy all night and I still do this morning as does he. Will not be eating from here again :(

I ordered from curry night we get it it from a completely different restaurant Luke warm food and not where we ordered from

It was late so I rang them did not answer!! It eventually turned up cold and nasty the Bombay aloo the potatoes were still hard...... will Defo never order from there again!!!!

Missing item. Cant Get hold of the restaurant.

My food was scheduled to take 1 hour and 20 minutes right from the start which is ridiculous anyway! 1 hour and 40 minutes later we call and ask where the food is they say it’s on it’s way it will be 5 minutes, they then call back and say it will be 10 minutes so nearly 2 hours it took to cook food and deliver! Absolute joke! When we got the food they delivered a beef curry instead of chicken and normal coke instead of Diet Coke which none of us drink to which the restaurant say next time I will give you a discount. What on earth makes you think we will be using you again!!

Food was ordered shortly after 8, no sign of it after 10. What is the point in having a telephone number when nobody answered the telephone to answer our query. After visiting the place directly we found the shutters down and nobody there, Just Eat was equally unhelpful boasting ridiculous queue times when all we wanted to do was cancel the order as there seemed no chance it was going to arrive. If 2 hours and 40 minutes is considered an acceptable time to wait for food then I feel this speaks volumes for this business.

Unfortunately missing part of the order but what we had was lovely. They offered to send the rest out but would be another wait so we just split what was delivered.

Food was not as good as previous orders. Chicken tikka masala was really watery and tasted like tomato juice. Onion Bahijis was very dry. Everything else was OK.

Food was OK, not great. Taste was bland. Ordered 18:45 arrived 20:30.

Amazing food, the mix platter is a bomb (and it's a lot, after that I was already full), the Butter Lamb juicy and tender. Awesome experience, thank you!

rude customer service, arrived hours later, when I called to ask how long they told me they were busy and hung up on me, would definitely not recommend!

Lovely food, big potions with more meat than sauce with the mains. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

My favourite takeaway. The king prawn currries are the best i have had in Witham. Great selection of vegetable dishes and really friendly service.

Takeaway going down hill, prices up, quality down - lamb was really tough! Missing items that took 45mins after first delivery to arrive. Shame as was my favourite curry house - will be using Hatfield tandoori from now on.

First time I have ordered from this restaurant and it will be the last, turned up late and had missing items, when I complained to them I was told I lived to far away for them to deliver here again so lost my money.

The restaurant was phoned and it seemed they'd missed the order completely. Food was hot on delivery but chicken was mostly grissle

We are usually very happy with them. They always call if they're gonna be late - which doesn't happen very often - but today was horrendous, delivery was supposed to be here at 6pm, called at 6.30pm to be told "be with you in a couple of minutes". Food is warm but still lovely, they ran out of Coke so assumed that Pepsi would be ok - we don't drink Pepsi but as I said before they usually call when they make change to our order. Not very impressed today.

Food was late! We ordered food at 8.10pm it didn't turn up till 9.50pm! And when we received the food it was wrong. We didn't have everything we had ordered. After phoning to find out why they were late we were asked to collect it, I had children at home asleep so couldn't. No one phoned me they waited nearly 2 hours before my food was delivered! Very poor service tonight. Disappointed.

Food was delicious& hot! Large portions and great flavour! Delivery was however 90mins after order which wasn't ideal! They did phone to apologise but was ages to wait!

Indian was spot on other only putting in 2 tubs of rice considering i got 2 with the curry i ordered but i ordered another one which didnt come with my delivery.

The food tasted really good, but was only just warm. I would have expected it to be piping hot as they are only based a three minute walk from me!

Food arrived 45 minutes late and was stone cold. Tasted fine and I was given a small discount when prompted for lateness.

Only problem was the length of time for delivery. Was 15 minutes after stated delivery time (which already was an hour). But absolutely lovely food!!

The food was great however there was some confusion with the order. After I had received the order confirmation, the restaurant called me saying that they don't usually deliver to our area and shouldn't have accepted the order. He then went on to say that I should be charged more because it's too far away, although I had already paid a price for the delivery. He then asked if I could go and collect it! I think it's really poor that I was able to make the order for delivery of a restaurant that apparently doesn't deliver to my area, but then again, the restaurant shouldn't have accepted the order if they don't deliver there.

Ordered and said it would come at 7.40. It still hadn't arrived at 8 so I phoned the restaurant and the manager said he was waiting for his delivery driver to come back and that the food was ready and said sorry but we are very very busy tonight. So we waited and waited and it finally arrived at 8.30! 😠 The driver was apologetic and I checked to see if the food was still hot and she said they keep it warm in an oven. The food was tasty but my husband also ordered Balti which meant he should of been given a Nan bread and that wasn't in the bag. So unorganised, so was very disappointed.

We waited especially until they opened so we could order from here as always had good food but wasn't impressed this time, Chicken Korma was extremely watery, had to mop it all up with Naan bread.,Delivery was 1hr but was delivered exactly at the time stated. Will probably try somewhere else next time.

Was normal quick delivery. But for the first time food wasn't to warm but still tasted as good as ever! Will continue to order from here.

They were late to deliver and not even an apology. Then when we open our meal a naan bread was missing. Never again.

Food was great but was delivered 30 minutes after the delivery time. Ordered at 6:40pm, delivery time was 7:35pm but it didn't arrive till 8:15pm :( Will still order from here as food is good, just hope next time we don't have to wait so long.

Good service. Onion bhagis over cooked and hard and the chicken tikka Masala has a strong coconut taste and not a lot of spices in it. If they can change this then they would be able to achieve five stars in all categories.

Fantastic as always- they forgot the yoghurt sauce (which most wouldn't consider essential, I maybe would) but five minutes later the doorbell rang again and they brought it anyway!

Way to spicey, could not eat. Cheesey spinach very watery. Meat very chewy. Was suprised no sauces added/side salad as others provide.

Chicken Tikka meat in Dansak was burnt which gave the curry a strange taste. Food also took ages to arrive.

Chicken madras was 10/10 will definitely be using again 👍

Absolutely awful. Ended up having to cancel our order as the menu didn't state that the meat thali was not part of the 20% off deal. The restaraunt then REFUSED to refund the money!!! At least Just Eat had the decency to issue me with a voucher.

After trying the other Indians in Hatfield and being disappointed, we tried curry night and it's our number 1 Indian of choice now! Not disappointed at all!

Food was good but the pizza arrived in a sorry state, maybe the driver should take it a bit easier.

A little late, but worth the weight!
