We popped in here for a takeaway as it was near our hotel. If it had been quieter we would have had a sit in meal but it was a Saturday night and the pub was full and noisy. The Curry Lounge staff were very nice and quickly gave us menus and we were able to take our food back to where we were staying in about 10 minutes. We ordered a couple of curries which both tasted very fresh and delicious, eaten with a couple of naan breads.

The Curry Lounge has a well-developed take-away business but we were staying around the corner at the Altens Hotel and wanted to eat-in. The main problem is finding the place - it's inside the pub the Langdykes, a local Cove Bay drinking den. There is a sign over the pub entrance but its hard to spot and the Curry Lounge could do with a better signposted, floodlighted separate door. There are a couple of menus and the choice and flexibility is good. The friendly proprietor explained the varied options and fetched us drinks and water from the pub bar. The seating area is small but comfortable and we enjoyed the starter platter and main course. The chef's use of spices produced some great flavours. Prices were reasonable, recommended venue.

I'd say I've eaten in most of the better known Indian restaurants in Aberdeen but there is no doubt that the food on offer here beats all of them. We've been visiting regularly over the last few months and the food and service has remained top class. As the restaurant is located in the corner of what could be described as a man's pub, the surroundings aren't the most salubrious but if you're after a great-tasting meal in informal surroundings then there's nowhere better. Highly recommend the green burnt curry. Better than Cinnamon's equivalent which was recently awarded "best in Scotland".

I visited with a group of friends. We ordered the starter platter which has generous helpings. The menu says it's for 2 but you could easily share 1 platter between 3 people. The items in the platter were very well cooked and fresh. For mains, we especially liked the Bangladeshi lamb dish (forgot the name), but the waiter gives you good recommendations if you ask. I had Chicken Rashni which for a garlic lover was perfect. The garlic naans were also good and fresh, not swimming in oil like most city center curry places. The waiter was attentive and gave very good table service. We were pleasantly surprised this is such a hidden gem in Cove. We will definitely be going back as we are locals to the area.

Decided to give The Curry Lounge a go after our last regular Indian takeaway restraint meal left us disappointed. How happy we are we decided to a change. Very tasty hot meal delivered promptly. Large portions. This is now going to be our regular takeaway and look forward to trying out their extensive menu.

Clean ish, new paper covers on top of stained cloth table covers. Food is not cooked in a tandoor, chicken tikka has no spice other than salt and red colouring. Was terrible meal.

What a great Indian restaurant. We originally come from Birmingham (arguably the curry capital of UK!) and have had MANY a good curry in our time! Great first visit to Chilli Masala in Dingwall. Really good first impressions as you enter the restaurant, spacious, good atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Friendly staff, attentive but not over-bearing. Food was absolutely spot on from poppadums with all the trimmings to start followed by lamb madras, chicken tikka masala, keema rice and naan bread. Everything was well presented, piping hot and delicious! Lovely touch at the end of the meal when it was mentioned that it was my birthday and a bottle of Cobra lager appeared on the table - on the house! Having lived in the Highlands for 3 years now, delighted to have found an Indian restaurant which measures up to our Birmingham friends! Great job guys, thanks, will definitely be back again very soon!
