As a local curry house I guess it serves the purpose for a evening out with pals and should certainly be considered but I wouldn’t come here if I was on the lookout for great food. We went on a Friday evening without a reservation, the staff accommodated us and were great throughout. The place was buzzing with people and had a good vibe. We ended up ordering a mushroom starter, which lacked flavour, and a tandoori lamb starter, that hardly had any meat on it. In mains we ordered a stuffed chicken curry, which wasn’t my favourite, and also lamb balti twice - the first batch was good but the second one was laced with sugar. The best thing we had all evening was the hot stuffed naan.

I recently dined here, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The food was absolutely brilliant, each dish bursting with flavor and meticulously presented. What truly set the evening apart was the exceptional customer service. Mohin, our server, was awesome. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable meal. The customer service is great and all staff are very professional and friendly. The food is all fresh and really flavourful. It's a great place to go for date nights and to eat Indian food. I would definitely go again!

We had dinner taken away, the curries and naan bread were delicious, still super warm when we got home and fresh. Lots of choices on the menu.

Ordered a takeaway for a special occasion. I’m sorry but the food was poor. Clearly all frozen ingredients. Lamb was so tough it was inedible. Also tough chicken. Only a few cheap blocks of paneer and over salted. Even the naan were soggy. Overall a very disappointing meal and overpriced!

Family birthday meal, first time at this restaurant, service was okay had to grab the waiters attention for drinks and refills bit of a wait , food was really good, Atmosphere was OK noisy party next to us with loud shouty conversation. Price was above average for local curries

Cracking place - been 5/6 times in last 4 months in groups of 2, 3 and 8 Staff are great, food is great and even when I managed to accidentally knock over 2/3 beers, they couldn't have been more understanding!

A nicely decorated restaurant. The service was good and the food portions were a good size, food was really tasty. Prices are reasonable. Only downside on Saturday night the music was a little loud so we couldn't hear each other properly, (but we were a group of 8). I'd definitely recommend it though.

We decided to come here for a meal after reading a review from “Liam” who complained about sleepless nights, msg and something called “spazams”. The restaurant’s recommendation to “go see a doctor” was the clincher. Great food, service… we will be back.

Sunday lunch buffet has always been consistently good quality and adequate for the help yourself diner . Flavour is how I love it and blows supermarket copies out of the window. You can't beat the Curry Leaf! A must try for those who want to taste what they are eating rather than so spicy, it no longer tastes like meat. Small comment ...the restaurant looks closed. Should the blinds be open, it would possibly bring in more patrons. Otherwise, five stars all round. Thank you for your positive contribution to Old Coulsdon.

Best curry takeaway Ever! Even though they were busy as it was a Saturday night, it was 100% worth the wait! Food was unreal!

Pre ordered a takeaway at 1630 for delivery at start of evening service at 1830 The system advised a slight delay but that really was slight, three minutes (but nice to be advised) Food arrived well packaged, hot and great portion sizes. It was absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing. Whilst costs for restaurants have increased massively, prices have not been over inflated and this was great value. It made a dull Sunday evening at home into something special. I normally eat in here, there was no reduction in quality or portion size on the delivery. Love this is a local business and happy to recommend it to anyone eating in or out.

Went to the banquet evening last night, absolutely amazing value for money £15.50 for starter, main, rice & side dish chosen from their actual menu… no smaller plates and the food was delicious, service great! Will definitely be returning 😊

Our local Indian, my family has enjoyed coming to Curry Leaf for almost 18 years. Friendly staff, reasonable prices.

Waited almost an hour and a half for delivery. All the dishes lukewarm the tandoori king prawn masala dreadful very tough. Vegetable pakoras greasy most of it was thrown away. Waste of money. Dreadful.

Disgusting food... food arrived cold - naan bread was burnt on one side , 🤢 I wouldn't even give it a 1 star tbh.

It was not lamb sizzler it was Lamb Juliette Sizzler that didn't have any flavor. It was fairly dry too. We got chicken Juliette first by mistake and it had to be returned. The chicken noodles was too salty which we kindly mentioned. The chef was kind enough to offer some for takeaway but that also didnt meet our expectations as we do eat out a lot. Very average for the price. Lamb biriyani didn't have much flavour, lamb sizzle didn't have flavour at all. We went after reading the reviews, but were quite disappointed.

I told you I was working my way through the menu :) A few days ago I ordered the Garlic Chilli Chicken Masala ....Spring chicken cooked very spicy with green chilli's & garlic in a rich sauce with pilau rice. Absolutely amazing, I found myself avoiding the chilli's in some bites but unable resist going back for more in the next. Highly recommend for those who can handle it.

The best I've ever tasted! Last night I ordered a few things from the starters menu. It blew my socks off I have never had onion bhajis that tasted that good. I had to go back tonight and try the curry and I was not disappointed! The curry, a recommendation from the staff which I cannot remember the name of unfortunately, was just sensory overload, f'ing amazing! You will thank god you have taste buds. The pilau rice, so good you could eat on its own. The naan bread so flavourful. You might think they are paying me to write this, I kid you not. This is a MARVEL SUPER CURRY HOUSE everything tastes better. I live in Dorking and you think I'm going to drive 30 minutes, passing many other curry houses on the way to get to CURRY LEAF COULSDON, hell yeah!

I ordered. Great service. Paid almost four pounds for a meat samosa. When they came they were not made there. They were your typical costco frozen samosa. With two tiny little ones for almost four pounds. I would have rathered a big one for 99p from the corner shop next door. My nan was completly burnt and tasted it. I have had an overdose of msg before. This meal gave me the same effect. Me and my partner could not sleep all night and felt very strange boarderline ill after the meal. My left shoulder also went into some weird spazam for about two hours also. Which i have never had with any food before. Show some respect and stop serving people rubbish. Stay clear if you ask me.

Was recommended Curry Leaf by my sister some months ago. She raved about it. Thankfully we ordered a couple of times and it did not disappoint. Order tonight and things have massively change. Waited over an hour for delivery, which wasn't the issue. Understand its a Friday evening. The food arrived barely luke warm and very basic. Look like it had been throw together. Rice didn't seem well cooked, still clumped together. One of the dishes lacked sauce. Meal generally lacked flavour. Incredibly disappointed this time round. Wasn't the treat we had hoped for. Will be trying somewhere else next time due to the lack of consistency.

Always top quality food. Always busy so Fri and Sat order early. U won't regret it!

All the curry dishes were overly sweetened. The meat chunks were also very large which meant the sauces had not permeated the meat, hence less flavour. Did not taste authentic in any regard. And yes, I have travelled India and tasted marvellous Indian food elsewhere in the UK. Tasted more like commercial ready meal sauces, whether they were or not. Quite disappointed especially after seeing numerous recommendations.

My favourite curry house ever. They make amazing Bangladeshi homestyle food which tastes fantastic every time. Service is always great. Nice atmosphere. Great location. Parking available. Do pay a visit!

I have nothing but praise for this amazing restaurant! The service was exceptionally great from the point of me entering the restaurant up until the time I left. It was comfortable and very warm. Me and my family had such an amazing time and the food was warm, tasty and served with a smile. I would highly recommend anyone to go and try this restaurant. The variety of food was good as we had alot to choose from as well as drinks. Would 100% recommend and if you don't try then your missing out!

One of the best authentic curry’s you’ll ever taste. Honestly couldn’t speak higher of Curry Leaf and it’s staff! Having now visited on multiple occasions I can say without doubt it is one of the best restaurants I have been to, with a brilliant selection of meals, attentive waiters and a brilliant chef to top it all off. Awesome for a family meal out or a curry at home on the weekend. See you soon!

We ordered through the restaurants website at 18:15, we called at 19:35 as the food was meant to arrive by 19:30, there was a lot of conversation I could hear in the background, the guy came back on the phone and said it would be another 20 minutes. I told him we would come and collect but had the food been made? The guy insisted it had and he was just waiting for his driver to come back and it would be ready. We couldn't get through on the phone at 20:00 so we decided to head there and collect it. I did manage to get through and the guy said it was ready so it was ok for my husband and collect if that was easier. My husband arrived and we were told the food wasn't ready. We said we would take a refund as by this time it had been over two hours. The guy apparently processed the refund and then someone came out and said the food was ready and we needed to pay again for the whole meal. We decided to leave, the kitchen was a mess and we didn't want to pay £65 for a meal that had been made in a rush. I understand its Saturday night and busy, but I'm not happy when I asked if the food had been made at 19:35 when I called the guy promised me it had and that they were just waiting for the driver. I would have had more respect if they were just honest rather than lying to us. Not a great experience. Hi thanks for your reply, its not the fact you were short staffed, its when I asked you at 19:30 if the food had been made the guy said yes, we are just waiting on the driver when it wasn't true. Hey, staff illness happens, but be honest about it. We went somewhere else after the order was cancelled at 20:30 so starting having dinner at 21:15, 3 hour after ordering with you. Its the fact your staff kept lying to us, that's the real issue here.

Just walked out of the restaurant. Really poor service. Not interested in the customer at all and the food came out like warm. Real shame because the food tasted good. Just trying to serve too many people. Took over 30 minutes to get bill. Will never be coming back. What a shame

Such a shame food ok but cold and service very poor. Restaurant overcrowded and customers standing by your table waiting for take away as you eat. Staff inattentive waited over half an hour for the bill. No apology for poor service too busy dealing with phone orders and take aways. Could be a good little restaurant unfortunately will never return!

Real shame. Food is good but consistently takes almost 2 hours to get here and is usually not warm when eventually arrives. Guy on the phone then makes excuses and takes no responsibility. They've had a few chances now, won't be getting another one.

Food is always fantastic and if your getting a Take away can be superb... It is a shame then that recently all my visits to the restaurant itself has left me very disappointed. Last few visits with a group has been spoiled with very long wait times for service and for food to eventually reach our table. I must say has been very poor and was not exactly busy with people. We even had to ask the waiter many times with long waits for a glass of water, I think they kept forgetting. I will change my review pending on how much better my experiences are at the restaurant, since we visit allot.

Great little local restaurant with friendly staff. Food has always been good, I’ve tried the Sunday buffet at £8 per head, all you eat with two meat curries and one veggie nan bread is included but popadoms not. Also visited on a Thursday and all tables were full. Really enjoying their tikka chicken which comes out on a hot sizzle dish. Mainly though I order deliveries which have always been excellent and prompt.
