Curry Express in Cheltenham

Excellent website, easy to order online. Consistently good food delivered. The lamb in my recent Korma was tender and delicious. Email from Curry Express informed of details of food, delivery times, and cost. All information was accurate. Delivery always comes with a smile 😃. Strong 💪 recommendation from me, I order on a regular basis.

Chanced this place and chuffed I did. The gentleman serving was polite and charming. The food was oh so tasty and with decent size portions. I have found my new favourite takeaway.

Brother and I popped in for takeaway. Friendly and polite service from the 2 young gentlemen. Food was fantastic as always. Freshly prepared in the open kitchen. Hot and delicious. This is my favourite curry takeaway in Cheltenham and has been for 5+ years! Their platter starter is excellent value, their garlic rice has plenty of garlic, and their Tandoori garlic chilli chicken is my personal favourite, it's got some heat to it! :) Oh, and the staff are friendly & helpful.

My husband & I had a curry from here 13-7-24. It was so nice. Portion sizes are great. The onion bhajees are delicious. I had lamb Dupiaza husband had chicken tikka. Also had Nan bread. Chips & egg rice. Got left overs for lunch today. Couldn’t fault it. Also got to mention young guy taking our order he is so friendly. Lovely young man.

The boy (awful) who was at the counter refused to get my order & payment of £8.95 by card. He said there is a policy not to take card payments below £15. No where else has this kind of rule or policy I have experienced. I don’t know why is that. I usually buy food from here and a regular customer & so sad to put a review like this. Honestly I've never eaten there. I get mine delivered. But it's very tasty and full of flavour and aroma. The meal can be shared for 3 to 4 persons. I usual but the leg of lamb curry and coconut rice

Unfortunately, had a very bad experience trying to order food over the phone last night at 9:20 PM. Google says it is open till 10 PM. On trying to enquiry if I can place an order for takeaway, the answer on the phone was just "No" and the phone was hung up...with no respect...

Ordered Lamb korma, keema naan and keema rice, chips popadoms large platter. Food was fantastic cant fault it, was trying this place out as fancied an Indian and recently moving to Cheltenham, curry express ticked all boxes staff were polite friendly, food was perfect (enough for next day too!) price was unbeatable for an Indian restaurant.

Easy to order, good quality curry.

We tried this place for the first time and were very satisfied with the flavours, portion sizes and more importantly the price. We fed 3 adults and 2 kids for £30.90, which £20 off what we normally pay for an Indian. The staff were very helpful in carrying my food to the car.

Very generous portion, tasty Indian curry, but the Butter chicken is not really butter chicken....

Great Indian takeaway, staff are friendly and the food is delicious... The meal deal (Monday to Thursday) is great value for money (collection only). Absolutely love their Chicken Dhansak with a Peshwari Naan... :-)

Very friendly guys and very accommodating to my wife who has various food allergies, so I was pleased and impressed. Copious quantities and good quality food but perhaps the Butter Chicken sauce and Peshwari Nan were a little too sweet, but then maybe they are catering for what they think are‘English tastes’. I would still recommend though and will go again.

Good Indian takeaway with parking right outside if your collecting. Ordered online the Tandori mixed grill, which came with a choice of nan bread and added a vegetable curry as a side. Food was ready to collect on time, generous portions, well packaged & pipping hot. The Tandori meats where very tender, I opted for the Garlic Cheese Keema nan which was a meal on its own. As mentioned the portions sizes are generous & enough for two people, hence I left the vegetable curry to eat another time. Overall a very good experience & would highly recomemd.

My hubby had Chicken Vindaloo who informed me that the flavour was there and the right spices. I am not a Indian food lover but I had the Chicken Passanda, it was delicious. My score is 4.5 this is only because there was a little to much potatoes in the Vindaloo, then we are from Wales so perhaps it is done differently in Cheltenham 😁. Will definitely get a meal from hear.

Wanted to try a different curry place and I was not disappointed, in fact it's gone to top of the list for takeway curry in Cheltenham, and I have eaten at top curry places like Koloshi or East India Cafe. The mixed starter and slow cooked lamb were absolutely gorgeous. I'm not much of a naan person so I'd agree with another review the naan didn't have much of a taste but it didn't bother me because I prefer rice with my curry anyways. I'd recommend the curry 100%, and rice with it

Best takeaway curry in Cheltenham! We had a superb meal for the family, top quality meats and the flavours are delicious. We tried a great variety, from the korma to the vindaloo, tandoori mixed grill and a number of sides. Everyone loved what they had and we will definitely be back. Ordered a takeaway this evening, 15 Apr 21. Order delivered 10 mins earlier than estimated (and delivered with a smile), food piping hot and very tasty. Will deffinitly use again. Highly recommended.

Couldn't order from our usual place so after looking at the reviews thought we would give it a try. 25 mins later than time we were told to collect, it was finally ready. It is a busy Saturday, so this could be forgiven . The food though - All 3 main meals were pretty tasteless. The Garlic/ Cheese Naan had NO cheese on what so ever! Needless to say we will NOT be using them again!! Food standards agency need to visit this so called 5 star rating! Delivery driver came in to help - bare handed helped them put poppadoms into bags! Do not waste your time trying this place.

Yeah I'm not paying £3 delivery when I'm only 2.1 miles away. Lost customer there lads. Plus they want a 50p processing fee !!!! That's using cash or card. £3.50 on top no way.

Just had a home delivery meal and it was one of the best Indian meals I've eaten chicken tikka bombay potatoes onion bhaji nan bread I'd recommend it for any one quick delivery and hot fresh food cheers

Food took over 2 hours to arrive. When it did, it was almost cold & of poor quality. Tried to resolve this with the restaurant multiple times. They kept lying to me saying ‘the manger didn’t come in today’ despite assuring me the day before that he was in. The restaurant then began answering my calls and immediately hanging up. Certainly one to avoid.

Wonderful Indian takeaway; the staff are always friendly and polite, the food is delicious and it's fantastic value. The portion sizes are generous, with a perfect ratio of meat/veg to sauce. It's never greasy or oily, but always full of flavour. Honestly I can't fault Curry Express, hidden gem of Cheltenham!

I have tried every Indian in Cheltenham but this one tops them all. I’m not a serious spice person so I can only judge on the mild dishes but the flavours are out of this world, portion size is big too.

Recently had takeaway delivered - took over an hour which is a bit disappointing, but food was hot when it arrived. Starter was awful, veg samosa, looked and tasted like something from Iceland, however the CTM main made up for it, very tasty. Would order again from here, but clearly there are some items to avoid.

Not amazing service order online to get delivered but driver couldn't find house he called to find place explain to him clearly then got another call saying can't find and asking him to come meet him. I think you might want to get satnav to find places. After all that food was okay not amazing, poppadoms were soft which is disappointing really like poppadoms, curry bit cold. Use to love curry from here standards has gone down.

This is not the first time we have been let down by this curry house! We were told that our food would be 1& half hour, however after 1hr 40 mins we rang to find out where our food was, we were told that it would be another 15-20 mins before delivery! We ordered at 7:30 o’clock at 9:20 our food was still not with us! This is not the first time we have been let down! However it will be the last! Anyone ordering from these people be warned! You may not get your food!

We’ve ordered from a few Indian takeaways in Cheltenham and this is by far the best one. The butter chicken is amazing, the set meal for one is well priced and the amount of meat per dish has always been sizeable. Delivery has always been on time, even on Fridays and Saturdays.

I would give them 5 stars because there delivery is quick and the curry(when you find it) is very good. The problem is that each dish I ordered was stuffed full of chunks of fresh tomato and lemon. So whereas I though I was getting a lot, in reality 1/4 of the container of curry is filled with stuff I don't want/need.

Absolutely fantastic curry! Everything we've ordered has been delicious - lots of spice and flavour. I would suggest trying the chicken tikka dhansak, but even something as unassuming as the vegetable sagwalla was a huge hit. I would recommend Curry Express to everyone who loves a curry!

Always superb service, delicious curry, can't recommend these guys enough! The shop doesn't look spectacular from the outside, but the food they deliver is always fantastic.
