Arrived late which is absolutely fine but the food was honestly awful my kids wouldn’t eat it lamb felt tough and dry chapati felt really doughy and chips soggy I would never order from here again. the delivery driver was polite though

I rang as it was late but after them informing me there was a problem with the delivery driver they remade the food ready to be delivered again, so it arrived really hot and food was delicious as always. Thank you

The food is very good, They do run a bit late sometimes but that, to us, is not too much of a problem. Was is annoying is missing items. Again, last night, no Mango or Chutney. They do quite happily send anything that’s missed, but we could not wait another 30 minutes or so.

Potatoes were tasty but undercooked. Pakoras had a little vegetables in them. Pakora portion was very small and too oily.

The food was freezing, and arrived 50 minutes later than expected. The food was very bland and plain.

Don’t normally leave reviews but on this occasion had to write to say I was so disappointed with tonight’s delivery. Normally food from Curry Cottage is lovely whether eat in or takeout but tonight the food was stone cold, the pilau rice was in big clumps and the chicken in the Balti chicken was so tough it was inedible. It didn’t even taste like or look like Balti tonight either. Maybe it was just a bad night but would put me off ordering or visiting again.

I was recommended this place by a friend so I thought i would order a family takeaway but now I wish I didn't. My order was large so I was expecting an array of flavours but when I got home my food was bland with no flavour whatsoever and strangely enough, each and every curry had a hint of coconut in it, even though I didn't order a dish requiring coconut, even my mixed grill tasted of coconut. All in all, I won't be going back, a costly £50 lesson learnt. Oh, and just to add insult to injury, the curry i ordered for myself wasn't in my bag,instead I had a replacement packed inside instead and guess what ? ...... yes you've guessed it, it tasted of coconut 🥥

The best food i have ever had in Sale. The lamb tikka lava is a 10/10 - presentation spectacular - cozy atmosphere - waiters are very friendly and lovely. Always greet you upon arrival and very helpful - the food was amazing would recommend

After a change of plans we ordered our takeaway whilst we were out so we could pick it up on way home. It was valentine's day and I didn't give them much time, we also had friends with us who had already collected their food from another takeaway. Got to the restaurant and it was packed, I thought ours wouldn't be ready as I'd not long ago ordered it and was worried about our friends food going cold. I needn't have worried, food was ready five minutes later and was excellent, thank you for rescuing our valentine's day.

Huge lovely onion bhajis.Crispy outside and soft inside,perfect. Nice beef madras. Loads of beef.Lamb korma was lovely too..No complaints at all.

The chicken pakoras that came was terrible all tiny looked deformed stuck together very hard and chips was cold I order regular from here that put me of the kebab was nice tho

We ordered a takeaway which was so tasteless and bland that the chef had not even bothered to season! The two supposedly different curry dishes looked virtually the same and tasted just as uninspiring as each other with very little flavour and poor quality meat. The chapatis were under cooked, had become rubbery and all stuck to each other and were just as inferior quality as the food. Unacceptably poor quality and standard of food and service to provide to your customer and simply not good enough.

rang to see if they could deliver earlier than requested and they cooked our order and delivered within half an hour! Very good!!!!!

Unfortunately, the masala sauce was bland and watery, and the chips were cold. The rice and onion bhaji’s were nice and the chicken tikka was good, but the majority of the plate ended in the bin.

I don't understand how it takes 2 Hours to drop a curry off. Food is barely body temperature, had to warm up. naan is soggy, more like a dough Given 1 wrong drink: Diet Coke instead of Coke.

Christmas Curry Delight! We decided to switch up our Christmas Day tradition this year and opted for an Indian feast, and boy, were we blown away! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. The curry itself was an absolute masterpiece. The flavours were rich and complex, with a perfect balance of spices. Every bite was a flavour explosion, leaving us wanting more. The service was impeccable, and the staff were always on hand to answer any questions or provide recommendations. If you're looking for a unique and delicious dining experience, I highly recommend this Indian restaurant. It's the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a fantastic meal. Food was cold. All the liquid was in the carrier bag. Only 4 very small cubes of chicken in it, the rest was pure onion.

This was my 2nd visit to this Indian takeaway and let me start off by saying I'm not a lover of hot food because my body doesn't react well to. I love spices but I don't love SPICEY, now in my opinion there's a difference. The 1st korma I had from here I asked them if it really was 'mild' and they say yes. It was so hot that not even my partner who likes spicey dishes said that may as well have been a vindaloo. So I couldn't any of it. This time however it lacked ANY flavour but was still too hot for what I expect a Korma to taste like. I've had brilliant Indian food in the past and this has been a massive let down twice. I felt I wasn't listened to by the guy on the phone taking my order 😕 The chicken was dry, the "curry" was like baby food mush, my Chipattis were burnt on the outside but RAW in the centre. My BFs peshwari naan when he 'ripped into it' scattered dessicated coconut bits everywhere and it was hard, tasteless and dry. His tandoori mixed grill with curry sauce was dry, hard and not very pleasant. At all! The picture below was my "Chicken Korma with Pilau Rice and a chapati". How vile an unappealing does that look 🤢 I'm not being over dramatic here I'm just being honest but 2 hours after consuming around 4 or 5 bites of my Korma and some of my partners mixed grill I began throwing up and the next morning my stomach hurt so much and the sickness spread to 'down below'(I don't know how else to explain my violent projectile vomiting from A-nuss any better, sorry 😂) It may have been okay at some point but I haven't experienced it. I will never be ordering from this place ever again and my partner has said the same for himself too.

My food took nearly 2 hrs to arrived. When it finally arrived after having to ring up and ask where it was. All the food was cold. the naan bread was burnt, and the poppadoms weren't cooked properly and tasted funny. Also some very dodgy looking chicken in 1 of the curries.

It was not delivered. I've been waiting nearly 2 hours and no sign of it. called the restaurant 20 minutes ago and they said it would be 15 minutes. I'll be going bed soon, I have work tomorrow. I won't be ordering here again. I'll have to chase them down for a refund tomorrow for my non existent curry.

Been using curry cottage for several years .sort of a go to place. Tonight’s meals were a let down . Both were tasty but …. One was lamb the other was vegetable curry’s., there’re was a Small amount of lamb in one , and the other use of carrots, and potatoes in the vegetable

Ordered a chicken makhani, was more like a korma, it had some tandoori chicken in but mostly had white rubbery cubes in that have never been near a chicken. I’ve ordered from here before and it was ok. Threw all the curry and cubed white rubber in the bin

had to ring the restaurant twice,fod was over an hour late, when it finally arrived it was freezing and very poor quality food.Wil never order from again!

the order was marked as picked up 1 minutes before the latest estimated time, and was estimated 15 before delivery. about 45 mins after not receiving I clicked my order hadn't arrived and the restaurant marked it as cooking. then marked it as on its way. again it didn't arrive. I then phoned directly and it arrived 30 mins later. the restaurant used the delivery times and app functions to delay my food but nit impact their KPIs

Delivery time was initially estimated to be 45 minutes to and hour before ordering. When ordered that changed to between an hour to one hour twenty minutes. It finally arrived 1hour fifty minutes later. On a Tuesday!

Curry was so watery, my rice was swimming in it, curry was really tasteless, couldn’t tell the difference between tikka massala and a prawn puri, they tasted the same. Which was really disappointing. Won’t be ordering again.

the mixed grill was exceptional but the chicken pakora starter was burnt and the keema nan was so small with no keema in it well I had 2 small pieces of keema about the size of a 10p i won't be ordering from ere again

Had a takeaway with them. Food has no flavour and is soo oily that oil drips not only from the food packaging but also from the outside plastic bag...loads of artificial red colour used in the paneer tikka..curry had no authentic taste very sweet..this one definitely needs Gordon Ramsay shake up to improve. It's not Indian.

Sheesh kebabs were unfortunately too salty to eat. The Tarka Daal had an overwhelming amount of sliced garlic. The Chapati dough was undercooked. The Biryani had onions undercooked. Everything went into Bin. Waste of money and food. Shame.

Absolutely disgusting bag was full of grease and oil which has stained all my work tops , all food freezing cold donner meat if that’s what you want to call it , was covered in fat and all stuck together, chips freezing cold and under cooked wouldn’t feed it to my dog .

This is our works go to place when celebrating birthdays ,leaving do’s and general team building. Staff are lovely and the food is always spot on. Highly recommended

ordered at 8pm , it first said it would arrive at 8.55, it got to 9pm and I checked and it had changed to 9:10pm so I left it a little longer, i eventually called 3 times between then and 10pm and eventually cancelled it. the driver turned up at 10.05 but we were on our way to bed. went to bed hungry. such a shame as we loved it here in the restaurant as we've been coming for years with my parents.
